What a find. I loved this place. We had great service from Nicole, the bartendress. It was a hot day so we sat inside but were able to sit by the big screen and view the outside patio. The appetizers were outstanding, I loved the Broadway Beer Bites because of the sauce made from one of their own beers and all three dipping sauces were so good we saved them for our other orders. My friend loved the Brussel Sprouts(not my fave) especially with the sauces. Both of our burgers(The Dragon and Broadway Blue) were both delicious. We had a flight of beers and both the Tangerine and the Coconut were very good, light, perfect if you are not a real beer lover. The IPAs were good especially the Dogway. It was not too crowded for a Saturday afternoon and if were closer to home I would be there all the time. Congrats. See you there next time.

Cool, chill spot. Beer was good, food in all honesty was mediocre. Would like to come back and check out live music offerings

Very unimpressed with this place. Service was a bit slow, but that’s not a huge factor for me. The food itself, however, was not very good. The pretzel appetizer was essentially just eating croutons, the salad had waaaaaay too much garlic, and I was told that the burger was not edible. I love sweet potato fries so I went with those, but I’m never impressed when a restaurant uses frozen fries which they definitely do. My turkey sandwich was actually pretty good however, so I can salvage an extra star here.

Dark beers are very good, the rest tastes like soapy water. The cookies are easily better than any other food on the menu which is sad really. No real atmosphere inside and staff that evaporate.

Great location but the food left so much to desire. Ordered the tacos. Tried shrimp, chorizo and chicken and all three were equally disappointing. Chorizo wasn’t chorizo at all, instead a ultra spicy sausage that could destroy any appetite. Chicken, veggies, shrimp all straight from the freezer bag to the griddle. No seasoning. Tortillas tasted like cardboard.

The new food menu is disgusting. The apps are all deep fried. Everyone of them. No hummus and veggies or anything healthy. The chips were greasy and unflavored. Why did you change your menu? People need to eat healthy. This menu does not reflect that. Go back to your old menu. Where are the great salads? The beer is fine. Need to amp up the music. Who wants to listen to the same old. Get some bluegrass or jam bands. The waitress was nice. Other than that this place needs another uplift. Sushi on Sunday? If I want sushi I will go to a sushi restaurant. I don’t get this.

This brewery is interesting. We went here for a birthday night out with some friends. It was their 3rd anniversary of opening so it was BUSY! I had a Firkin blueberry peach IPA. This beer is sweet and sour in one; I liked the sour aspects but could hardly notice it was an IPA. The exterior is a brick and large windowed establishment. And it’s sound proofed very well! They had a rock a Billy band jamming inside and you could not hear it outside. Impressive. The inside is industrial meets warehouse meets brew pub. Gather that image and look at my photos! This makes it loud in here, but I’m not complaining. It was a good experience! The food is very yummy. One of us had beer cheese soup; good. Two of us had the blue cheese burger and that was excellent! The cheese was zingy and fresh, the meat juicy, and the presentation was beautiful with a pile of fries to boot! We liked this place and will be back soon!

New menu, new service, awesome beer. Tried just about every appetizer, all delicious. With this bitter kick all the craft brewers are on right now, it was nice to have nothing but balanced and flavorful brew here. They’re re-grand opened and definitely focused. Great new leadership and it showed last night. Happy for them. If you haven’t been there before, you definitely need to go now.

Headed up town to check out the changes that have been made. Great news, the beer hasn’t changed. The menu has been totally updated. I tried the Gumbolaya which is a northern combination of gumbo and jambalaya. With a couple of tweaks they will have a winner. Back off on the black pepper and the flavors of the andoullie, shrimp and mushrooms will move forward. My wife had the Friendship, the local steak and cheese sandwich. The beer cheese soup was the highlight. The service staffing has been increased so the wait time for your next drink or meal has been eliminated.

Given the location of my nephew’s wedding — Addison Oaks Buhl Estate — this place was as close as any for a wedding rehearsal dinner. My sandwich was good, and, as house salads go, mine was very good. I also liked the I.P.A and pale ale. Fun surprise: the Green Apple Riesling. Very good, reminiscent of cheap apple wine the girls in my high school liked, but in a form more balanced between sweetness and acidity.

Ok food! Really slow service! I went there with family and took close to an hour and a half to get food! And once I got food most of my group said there food was undercooked and wasn’t very good! Might give this place a chance again!

I was there for lunch. Sat outside in a covered area that was fairly nice. The service is not terribly fast there. It takes a while for the wait staff to circulate, and the food took a while to come out. This probably has a little influence on the rating, but the real driver of it is the food quality. First the food was not hot… when it’s supposed to be. I had two hot food items. The chicken wings and the chili. Both were luke warm. I’m not sure if it’s because it sat in the kitchen for a while, or if it’s a food prep issue? The chicken wings were cool throughout, so I’m assuming it was cooked and sat for a while. Then they probably tossed it in the sauce which made it worse. The chili bowl was also cold. It was fairly thick and meaty, which was okay, if you like that style of chili. My son’s chicken strips were interesting. They’re not fried, but battered and then looks like pan fried on a griddle. So the breading around the non-griddle surface is not exactly crispy. Maybe the restaurant doesn’t have a deep fryer since there’s no fries on the menu — especially as you would This restaurant won’t be a destination eating place for me for sure, but if you’re looking for a basic sandwich with potato chips, maybe it’ll work for you.

Very small beer selection. The IPA I had was good. Service and chicken wings waaaaaaaay below average!!! I’d go back for a couple beverages but would sit at the bar and not eat. Other places within a couple minutes of walking for better food.

I wasn’t too impressed with their selection. It all seemed to be the same. The service was similar to the Walmart Greeter that doesn’t care about his job. You know what I mean? Just a, «Meh.» when you got there and a sad«Thanks» when you leave. The décor was kind of cool. Nothing on the menu really jumped out at me though. I’m really not impressed and it doesn’t take much to impress me really. Thanks anyway and I hope your bartender gets through the tough emotional time that she’s going through.

Standard small rich city brew pub with okay to good beer and good pub food. The main room is small, as is the bar, but the staff is polite and fast. The food is standard pub, but good. The beer ranges from okay to really good(two of them are really good), with many on tap at a time. The patio area is the best feature of this brewpub. Parking is tough, and the local police are very into aggressive patrolling.

I’ll start of by saying the food & the drinks get 3 stars, but the service really deserves only 2. Lets start with the bad and end with the good: Service: Incredibly poor and unorganized. Especially our server… They started off by getting our drinks all mixed up and would run away to check if they were out of food items as we ordered them. We never received our appetizers, which we mentioned as we got our meals. They acknowledged that fact, and instead of taking action to correct it, they walked over and started talking to another table. A few of our meals were mixed up so we had to switch around a bit. The server casually made their way back to us to check up, we mention the missing app again and they said«there was a cold app sitting in the window so the chef took it back, would you still like it?» No wonder why. At this point, we told them not to make a new one. We were a large group and the server never asked us how we wanted our check and just put it all on one bill making it hard to pay. Our server mentioned they had only been working there one month, but still, I feel they were unprepared and not ready to be on the floor on their own. Craft Beverages: 51 North has no problem with providing small samples for tasting, which I always appreciate. We all had ended up with a favorite, a few that stood out at the table were the Stout, Tangerine Wheat, and Barely Wine. Also, they make their own wine and mead! This is super awesome. The wine sounded absolutely amazing, but I didn’t notice they had wine until I had already ordered a beer, bummer! They were also out of the mead, double bummer! Food: Everyone enjoyed their food. Show stopper– Beer Bites on Broadway! One guest got this as a meal and the Stout Beer with Blue Cheese and Shallot sound was dynamite! I personally ordered the Heavenly Havana– with Backwoods Mustard). Overall, it was a good Cuban style sandwich, but on deli wheat bread– the chunks of pork were nice and tender too! Atmosphere: Well executed. The beer garden is a beautiful nook, the drink menu boards are hand crafted, there’s custom area for bands to play, and there’s shirts hanging up in the rafters from other craft breweries. What’s cool about this is if you bring in another brewery’s shirt 51 North will exchange it for one of their own. The shirts hang in the rafters to help with acoustics! Cool stuff.

Wanted to try this(new to me) LO Bar/restraunt after a concert in town. We were seated soon as we arrived. Wait staff took drink order quickly. I had the cranberry wine and Apple Riesling.$ 6:00 each. Both delicious but more like fruit juice than wine. No kick at all but each glass was not more than about two shot glasses. Menu was limited to say the least. I had BBQ sliders. ehh not good. They were cold, ask waitress for a «refire». Meat was dry and no sauce to speak of, bun was cold and hard. Husband’s the same. Chips are just store bought type. They gave us cookies to compensate for the disappointing food. Our bill for four people was $ 85.00 plus tip. I’ll give this place till Summer and try it again then to see if food improves. I’m giving 3 stars for the rustic ambiance and downtown location.

I liked 51 North more than I expected to. I’m a liquor drinker, so when I first arrived and found it was just beer and wine, I was like, yay. Swell. But the Paint Creek Tangerine(or something like that) was a yummy, fruity beer. The atmosphere was somewhat bright for an evening gathering, but I got used to it. The noise level was typical of a bar, more or less. I was able to enjoy catching up with friends. My burger was delicious. They got the ‘medium’ just right, and it was red, moist, hot and tasty. I shared some chocolate chip cookies with a friend afterward, but they were oddly not warmed before being served. Warm cookies would really have made the night. I look forward to bringing hubby back some time soon to introduce him to 51 North.

The beer is good. The food is tasty. It’s a decent-sized place, and while it’s not somewhere that I’d drive out of my way to get to, it’s definitely a place that I’d pop into while in the area. Couple of things to be aware of: — Yes, it’s a brew pub. Beer and wine only, no mixed drinks or shots available. — Parking is… okay. Wound up parking in a lot a bit down the street and walking up. Just something to keep in mind as the weather turns to snow and ice.
