Travel Centers of America

Okay travel center. It was somewhat clean. I can’t speak about the food, but it seems other reviewers didn’t think to highly of the food. There are several other restaurants in the area if you’re looking to eat. It also appears that they are doing some sort of renovation work on the gas pumps.

Typical crap hole truck stop. I am a trucker that hates truck stops but w/​15 mins left on the clock this guy will swoop into any place he can get. With that being said the Subway veggie delight was good, the bathroom was clean even though the urinal was over flowing while I was in there, & I got a greats night sleep. The down side was them trying to gaffle me for trying to get some wifi, there is no cell reception, & some asshole threw his trash under my truck that I had to move w/​my heel stick.
In a pinch I will stay here again but otherwise will just keep on trucking.

So the girlfriend kidnapped me this past weekend. Her mission: To deliver me unharmed to meet her grandparents in Benton and spend New Year’s with them.
Man, that was the longest drive I’ve had in some time. 4 hours.
About 75% of the way there, we found ourselves weary with hunger and with full bladders. So here we came to this truck driver’s oasis, and they were there, en force, straight out of central casting.
Of course they have a fill-​up station, but there’s also a drive-​thru Subway, a convenience store, and a restaurant called Country Kitchen, which I’ll get to in a separate review.
There’s really not much else to say aside from the fact that they pretty much have everything a traveler could need, and that scenes from the film «Planes, Trains, and Automobiles» kept replaying in my mind.
