I’ve been here several time & can’t believe I’ve never written a review here. The food is very good here & the prices are excellent. I have never had a bad meal or adult beverage here ever. Very well worth the stop if your in the area, you won’t be disappointed at all. Just had the Yuengling Beer Battered Haddock and it was fantastic. See photo, it’s huge.

Stopped here traveling with the family. Hidden gem. Burgers amazing. Sweet potato wedges delish. Their homemade onion rings and their homemade ranch(with delicious dill infused) was great! Definitely a step above normal diner or bar food. Our server was friendly and knowledgable in her recommendations. Hope we travel this way again!

Somehow we’ve lived in the area and driven past BHT a million times and had never eaten there. One day, I heard a colleague talking about it and finally made it a point to give it a try. We love it! It is, hands down, one of the(if not THE) cleanest bar/restaurant I can recall. The first time we were there it was slow and the bartender was cleaning/sanitizing the bill folders. I so appreciate this attention to cleanliness and detail!(I also love the sparkly puffy gold bar front; it makes me happy.) The food is all home made and you can tell. We’ve eaten a variety of items and have yet to be disappointed(wings, perogies, steak tips, chicken and waffles, salads, etc). The beer selection is great, but they always have Troeg’s Perpetual on draft and a full bar. Our service has always been outstanding. They are also fantastic at updating their social media(FB) with specials and any irregular hours, so it’s worth checking out if you’re thinking of stopping in(and you should!).

We stopped in here on our way home to Ohio. Stormy was our server and she was awesome! Very friendly and talked to us for awhile. We got the wings and chili and they were very good! The baskets on the wall were interesting…

A small hometown bar, great bar burgers, but hands down, over the top, best onion rings ever! OMG I am gonna miss these when I head back to Detroit

Everything cooked from scratch where everyone knows your name! Excellent burger & haddock dinners followed by cinnamon streusel cake — sooooo good! Excellent pours from the bar, with nice local ale on tap! Don’t be put off by humble décor. Enjoy!

Once every 5 years or so our travels produce a gem of a local restaurant. Browns is one of them. In an age of factory produced, flash frozen entrees, it’s easy to miss a place that cuts its own sweet potatoes for fries, makes a great Reuben, and is gutsy enough to advertise liver and onions

The waitress who served us was very nice. Other than the waitress, nothing else at this place is worth the visit. The food isn’t all that great, the atmosphere resembles an indoor camp dining area, and the service, while friendly, is really slow. If you can avoid it, do.

Bad food — lack of true taste and flavor Good if it is the only place open Not the cleanest restaurant Needs a make over as everything needs some attention

Walked in 15 minutes before the kitchen closed on a Sunday after traveling on Rt.80 in construction traffic from Ohio. The waitress was very friendly and accomodating. We were recommendated to the restaurant by our hotel. Seems the rooms here are half what our hotel rooms cost!(note to self) Food here is very good! No frills in this dining room. Several beers on tap and(as allowed in PA) bottles for take out. Nice wine selection too. Onion rings are totally excellent. This is not about ambience; its about value. We had the chicken cordon blue sandwich and perogies. Yum!

This is our favorite restaurant in the area. The staff is friendly, the food is consistently excellent(and the one time it wasn’t, it was quickly made right), and it’s clean. Despite being a bar, many families, ours included, bring their children. My kids love to shoot pool and enjoy the food as well. The prices are reasonable for the quality and quantity of food — don’t skip dessert! Couldn’t recommend this more highly(have never rented a room).

Went for dinner last night and ordered the haddock dinner. It comes baked in your choice of spices, or beer-battered and deep fried. I chose beer-battered. When it(eventually) came out, holy cow, it was a huge slab o’ fish. Cooked perfectly, too. Fries that I ordered were a little over-crisp, but I kinda like that… better than under-cooked and mushy. If you want ambiance, you’ve come to the wrong place. If you want fast, attentive service, you might want to find somewhere else. But, if you got friends or family that you want to hang out with and maybe have a couple drinks over dinner, it’s a fine choice. Great burgers, too.
