We hit up Curt’s when we were travelling up the I-80 because it was conveniently just off the highway and BBQ sounded good. My wife and I had to grab our coats from the car because it was almost as cold in the restaurant as it was outside. The staff said they didn’t know what was up with the heat. We ordered a half rack of ribs, pulled pork and fries with gravy. The staff asked if we wanted BBQ sauce with it. We should have asked for sauce on the side as it wasn’t that great and the meat was drowning in it. The ribs were decent but the pulled pork was more minced than anything and tasteless minus the sauce. Unfortunately the gravy was really the best part of the meal.

Great bbq, very surprised considering the size of town it’s in. Would highly reccomend the brisket

On a road trip, and being someone that has spent some time in Texas, the words bbq and brisket will always attract my attention. However this time it was the word«smokin’» and the need to take a break from the road. This place is conveniently locate off the highway. As you approach the door, you see the smoker and a stack of wood nearby, so of course I have to take a closer look and some pics. The things I do for my readers hehe. I walk in and although the place is setup like a fast food chain, you can’t help but feel the«hometown» or neighborhood«feel.» The staff is friendly and welcoming. I went with a brisket sandwich, ribs, and fried checkin wings. First impressions: The brisket was good, the ribs were ok but I felt could have used more seasoning or may have been overcooked but this could be a matter of opinion. The wings though simple in seasoning were cooked well. Overall I would come back to this place, and if you have time check out the sign for the«barn dance.» After a good meal at Curt’s, it would hurt to work off the meal at the dance.

Delicious brisket– thin cut. Horseradish slaw is good. Good service. Easy parking.
