Saturday morning Breakfast. Only two tables in the dining room. Service was slow, food arrived Luke warm. Food was edible not great.
One woman was working the bar and the dining room. Locals appeared to be in the bar and she preferred to hang with them.

We came here for lunch. It was very quiet, and we had very attentive service. The food was reasonably priced, and that is appreciated here in Levenworth. Hubs had the cheese burger, and my mom had the BLT it was so good, she refused to offer me a bite! I had the schnitzel, and the mushroom gravy was good, the kraut, was sweet and tart, a great balance. They had Dunkle on tap, which was great! Don’t listen to the other reviewers, this place was good solid food, and the 3 kids we brought with is, enjoyed the Mac n cheese! Thanks for a great lunch!

Was here two years ago and it was yummy. Now, bleh. Went for breakfast and most of our food was cold– cold eggs, hash browns, waffles. Schnitzel was tough. Coffee bad and service poor. Won’t waste our money again.

Literally came in nobody was at the bar then waited 15 minutes until someone showed up to be told we had to wait another 20 minutes to be helped and if we wanted food it would be an extra 45… So we left

The food was okay. Service was absolutely horrible tho. Our waitress took forever to take our order, when we asked for an extra tarter sauce she said we already had one and seemed like we should share the one sauce, and last but not least she accused us of trying to walk out on our check. She made us sit there for 10 minutes and said we were trying to steal when we had put the full amount of our dinner in the check folder. After we asked to speak to the manager she looked in other check folders and finally found our bill. She mixed them up. She couldn’t even apologize either after the scene she had made and made our family look like thieves. We will never return to this place.

North Beach/Telegraph Hill, San Francisco, CA

Stopped in for a late lunch around two. Service was poor, my son didn’t get his milk until our food came which was almost an hour after ordering. We tried the French dip, sausage hero and schnitzel sandwich. It was mediocre food. Same fare you’d expect anywhere else. I’d have given three stars but the wait with a 8 month old ruined the experience and left us all starving.

This is a fine stop on the Leavenworth circuit!
If you’re looking for food after 11p, you’re out of luck. if you’re looking for a pint and a mediocre drink, this is your place.
Non color matched duct tape on the seats made me subtract a star, but a pretty fun place in whole.

Mediocre food along with disdainful service. Asked for eggs over medium got them over hard. No berry jam, no non dairy creamer. Hardly anyone the restaurant and it took the hostess ten minutes to bring two cups of coffee. Oh and for being in a Bavarian town the sausage was Comercial made.

Been in town for a month visited a number if places including here.
Past experiences were great however this bartender should be fired or put in the back room somewhere. very un friendly

Would never have someone like this employed in one of my establishments .
Owners should take heed but then again this is a tourist town and they probably don’t give a shit.

Had dinner here after a long trip with 2 small kids due to local recommendation for a family style dinner. The kids had decent fried foods but my prime rib was horrid that I had to send it back. It was grey and tasted spoiled. It was not pleasant but luckily they didn’t charge me for it. Won’t go back.

Never have I been in a restaurant where the servers seem trained to look through you when you make eye contact and attempt to make requests. We waited 40 minutes just to order. The waitress, when she finally got to us, gave sarcastic attitude when we voiced our frustration. Ordered a bloody Mary, never got it. Coffee creamer was curdled. Waters sat empty. Not even the bus girl offered help. At least the cook did his job and made good food. Still not coming here again.

Had breakfast here yesterday morning. There was only one other couple when we were seated, but it took quite a bit of time for the waitress to take our order. When our food *eventually* came out, it was nothing better than average. The toast was obviously made from very stale bread and was nearly inedible. The omelette was decent but nothing to write home about. The bratwurst was the best part of the meal, thankfully. Other than that, it took absolutely forever for our waitress to bring us our check! What should have been a 30−40min meal turned into a good hour and a half full of waiting. We wouldn’t recommend.

The food here was fine but the service was terrible. The place is dated too. My wife and I have eaten here a few times over the years and every time it’s a little worse. The last trip there were three other tables occupied and it still took 42 minutes from the time we ordered until we got our food (eggs, bacon, pancakes, how long does it take to cook those?). We won’t be going back.

This is strictly a review for breakfast. I can not speak for any other meal. If you want a good ‘ol comforting breakfast this is a good place to go. The bacon and German sausage were delicious and the eggs and potato pancake were pretty tasty too.
The décor is pretty old, but goes along with their longest running restaurant theme. It’s like having breakfast at grandma’s.

After reading the reviews, I was concerned. But a couple things I would point out to those that haven’t either Leavenworth or not here much. The décor is older, which should be expected since they are staying with an older Bavarian theme throughout town. Yes there are some flowers and lace but that shouldn’t be the deciding factor. That said, the service was good not great. We had breakfast here and I have zero complaints. Food was cooked well and tasty. Staff is friendly.

We stopped in here for lunch while in Leavenworth for the lighting ceremony. The wait was around 45 mins (which was slightly better than most places that weekend, as there were tons of people in town). The food was ok but barely came with any sides.
The worst aspect of this restaurant (and hence the two star review) was the service. There aren’t that many tables in the restaurant, but the 2 – 3 waitresses seemed overwhelmed, slow, and were not very attentive. They forgot our drinks twice and we had to ask for one of the drinks (which never arrived) to be removed from the bill. Nobody checked to see if our meal was ok or to see if we needed anything.
There is a reason that this restaurant has less stars than most other Leavenworth restaurants on Unilocal!I wouldn’t go back.

Our first time in Leavenworth and what an amazing surprise! We had no idea a town like this existed in WA.
We asked a few locals where we should eat breakfast and every single person mentioned Tumwater Inn. Thank God for locals! They really know their stuff :) My fiancé and I were not disappointed.
I had the Bavarian breakfast, which was pretty good. Tom had the CHICKEN FRIED PRIME RIB!!! YES, PRIME RIB! CRAY CRAY!!! Crazy delicious and tender, it was amazing.
Definitely a spot you want to check out, if you have never gone. Small and quaint and totally worth it.

I walked in, and the lady behind the counter was on a personal phone call, and decided that her call was more important than seating me. She asked if I was over 21, and I said yes, so without getting off her phone call, she pointed to the bar to have me sit in the bar without even looking to see if there was any room for me to sit, and there was not; not to mention I wanted a more quiet sit down meal, I didn’t come in there to sit in the bar in the first place.
By making your personal phone call a priority, you’re telling me that customers don’t come first, and that was very rude, and lazy to not sit me at a table, to just point to the bar, because you’re personal life couldn’t be put on hold.
I left, and will not go back, there are too many other places in Leavenworth that will be happy to serve people, thank you…

we came up for the Christmas lights festival. Stopped by here for lunch and the food is amazing and delicious. Enjoyed a nice Bloody Mary with lunch and the server was friendly.
This place so good, my son wanted to come back the next day for breakfast :-)
Price is reasonable. Clean. Friendly. And we will definitely be back!
