Great quality food! Prices are fantastic too. Must visit place while in Purcellville. Awesome to have a new spot to eat in town!

Wow! Another great ethnic food option in Purcellville! This is some fantastic Salvadorean food cooked up by some mamacitas who know what they are doing. They guys are friendly and helpful also. I had the Gorditas(Steak) which were delicous and even my picky teenaged son enjoyed them. There was a nice amount of cheese and the steak had that wonderful just grilled taste. Pupusa’s were also very good with a nice cutido«slaw». Eat them while they are hot and fresh, they’re not as good after they sit awhile. At the recommendation of the staff I ordered #22 which is some grilled pork with fried yuca. I am so glad I tried this as it was great. the pork was cooked to perfection and the yuca«fries» were superb. The interior is pretty much exactly the same as when it was Haute Dogs but I am sure they will get some decorations soon. This place will be on my weekly list for Purcellville dining and they also serve breakfast although they don’t open unitl 9AM. I am made the changes to the business but am waiting to hear back from Unilocal!Headquarters on the update. Come on out an support this new business and enjoy some good home cooking.

I’ve eaten at many pupuserias both in different parts of the United States and in El Salvador itself. These pupusas are authentic and quite good. While they aren’t the best I’ve ever had, they are very good and made to order. The cutido, a Salvadoran version of a cross between«cole slaw» and sauerkraut and typically eaten on top of the pupusa, was only of slightly better than average quality. I prefer a curtido that is fermented a bit more and a bit more strongly seasoned – others’ tastes may vary. I also tried the Tamal de Elote(sweet corn tamale) and was not particularly impressed. The tamale was not fully warmed and was very dense. The best tamales should be soft, warm, moist, fragrant, and not very dense. I believe this restaurant has a lot of potential and will likely get better. I visited when it had just opened and, no doubt, it was still working a few kinks out with the new location. The restaurant is located in the old Purcellville Haute Dogs location.

This review is for their new location in Purcellville. The food took a little while for them to prepare after I ordered, but it was all freshly made and delicious… Worth a little wait. I had gorditas and pupusas and both were fantastic. I’ll be going back to try some more of their menu items!

Great news! It appears that Nery’s Pupuseria is reopening in Purcellvile tomorrow, 12/28/2015. There is a cardboard sign that reads, «Pupuseria opening Monday» on the door of what used to be Haute Dog in the Food Lion shopping center. From the pictures posted on here on Unilocal,it certainly is the site of the former Haute Dog. I’m thinking of getting up early to be the first in line. I think I’ll have the Elote tamales, plantains, crema and frijoles for breakfast and maybe the pupusas de maize for lunch… hmmm…maybe I should wait to see the menu to decide what to have for dinner.

Nery’s is open again in Purcellville next to Food Lion. Good stuff! No longer open — very sorry to say this as I loved this food truck. I wish the owners good luck in the future.

Service was not very good. The coffee was really good but for the price of the coffee I would expect to have been tested like more than a number. In the bright side I will definitely go back as I said the coffee was great. Hoping the attitude will be much better.

Great food at a great price, especially if you don’t mind eating on the side of the road. Give the pupusas and flautas a try, you won’t be disappointed. Nom Nom Nom

Still great but now open later! Give this place a try for the pupusas if nothing else. They make them fresh when you order them(not pre-made and slapped on the griddle like a couple of other places in Leesburg) and they are freaking delicious. I’ve noticed lately that they are open later in the evening now, I believe until 7:30PM, and Nery has hired a couple of other ladies to work with her. I often stop and grab 3 pupusas to go with soup or something else for dinner. My husband and I can split them. We do two each if that’s all we’re having for dinner. Yeah, 3 of them is a whopping $ 5.25. Chris S. is right, you could easily explode for less than $ 10 here.

There aren’t a ton of places to get pupusas in or around Leesburg(which is more surprising than you’d think considering the population) so there’s not a ton of competition — but the reason for that may just be that it’d be hard to compete with Nery’s. The truck is always parked out on Route 15 by an antiques place a bit outside the city. It’s not the easiest place to get to — you either have to be willing to stop on your way through or you have to really want to go. Let me tell you, though, it’s delicious and cheap. it’s well worth making an effort. to get out there. If you don’t know what pupusas are, make sure you get one — but they’ve got plenty of other things. go for a broad selection your first time out, but make sure your eyes aren’t bigger than your stomach. It would be trivially easy to spend $ 10 and explode.
