What a perfect lunch spot. Ate here after my Hubby’s VA hospital appointments that’s in Livermore.
We stumbled upon this gem. We walked in this place is so very clean. The guy let us know about the daily specials on the board next to the counter. It kind of have that Togo’s vibe. But better though. Here you can order breakfast and lunch. Even burgers if you want.
I ordered the turkey and cranberry sandwich with potato salad. It was one of the best turkey sandwich I’ve ever had. Surprisingly instead of mayonnaise it had cream cheese with the cranberry sauce it was amazing. Also had lettuce and red onions. The red onions wasn’t harsh tasting it was light on flavor and crispy for texture. Just perfect.
The potato salad was fresh tasting. Not over dressed with mayonnaise. Crispy celery mixed in for texture. It was light and satisfying. I had a wonderful lunch.
There’s a drink station next to the counter with different choices of drinks.
I will comeback another day.
F.Y.I: Getting parking into the lot is pretty tricky just to let you know. The layout of the tiny strip mall is funky with no flow to it! But it’s free though.

Had heard nothing but good things about Jake’s so on our way back from the City we decided to stop in for lunch. We were greeted with a smile and immediately escorted to our table. The food is outstanding, prepared fresh and served just as we ordered. Our party had a different variety of items for lunch, everything from sandwiches, salads, fries, and soup. Servings are plentiful, they don’t skip on the portions. Will definitely return.

Highly recommend this place for breakfast, lunch, 2^nd lunch, pre dinner and dinner or any other meal that may occur during their business hours.
If you try Jakes, make sure to get a breakfast burrito with their salsa and pasta salad with a sandwich.
Also, their catering service is awesome as well. They make a wide range of foods and perfect for parties and offices.
Again, highly recommend this place.

This is a great breakfast spot. I cant wait to try their lunches. The staff is super nice. Just as good as Denica’s… If not better and less expensive. I will defiantly be taking my family back.

This place is great!!! The food is fantastic. I had the Cobb salad and I was surprised how good it really was. They make it very different from other places and that’s why it’s so great. The atmosphere is also a big plus, it’s very clean and that’s a must from any good café. I’m already looking forward to going back.

Jakes is such a great place for breakfast & lunch! I always check in to see what their daily specials are. The people there are polite and the food is scrumotious!

I’ve been here a few Saturday’s now! Reasonable prices, not too bad food, great for families! I particularly like the tuna melt and the side fruit can include fresh fruits. That’s a huge plus when you’re watching calories and the quality of food you are consuming.

I really like this place. It’s around the corner from my house so it’s very convenient. I always get the Asian chicken salad and they have really good breakfast as well. Keep in mind that it is a small café, so unless you’re looking for something good & quick try someplace else. I just wish they were open all the time!!!

Jake’s is my favorite lunch spot in the area. It’s easy to get to, plenty of parking in the lot, always on point with the food and service despite being busy all the time. From breakfast like chilaquiles to veggie sandwiches for lunch, Jake’s never fails to impress me. I’m vegetarian, and I still haven’t tried all of the options they have for us. Their slogan encourages you to «forget your lunch», and I think you should!

I really want to love this place, but it’s just been ok. The service was great, both times I’ve gone in, and really that’s what’s likely going to bring me back.
I’ve gotten the soup of the day, they have a good rotation of daily specials. It was tasty, but otherwise un-​remarkable.
Most recently, I ordered the Asian Chicken Salad. The portion was generous, and the dressing tasted freshly made, but the chicken was not a good addition. The chicken was premade and refrigerated, and was distractingly cold. Worse, however, was that the chicken was clearly seasoned for other dishes, I would guess Italian or Greek, based on the heavy use of oregano. By the time I was halfway through the salad, it no longer tasted like Chinese Chicken Salad, but instead like a Mediterranean salad. Tasty… but not what I really wanted.
The location is odd, across from the waste treatment plant, so I suggest enjoying your meal in doors, rather that at the patio tables… you just never know when the wind will shift.

Second time I’ve come to Jakes! Well, let me tell you. their customer service is superb! They speak to you with a smile, they are kind and courteous. And their food is delish, especially the french fries! I ordered a grilled chicken sandwich with burnt bacon, yes burnt! No one ever gives me bacon as crispy (or burnt) as I like it, and for the first time (ever), they listened! I got my burnt bacon; dark brown and crispier than the normal «crispy bacon». :) I also can’t forget to mention as I ordered my lunch «to go», I stepped outside to make a phone call and instead of leaving my sandwich on the counter to pick up, Jake (the owner) came outside and found me to hand me my order, super nice!

The best Mediterranean salad I have ever tasted! I go here often and my son loves the turkey melt. The staff are very friendly. I only wish they opened later in the evening too.

So I walked in around 8:30 AM. The gentleman at the front taking orders, was taking orders for about seven construction workers and all of their specific wants. Then I ordered what I wanted. Not only did the food come out in a probably manner, it also came out to order. Not one plate was made wrong. There were only two people working that morning. Those guys kick ass

Has the Cuban sandwich and I must say that I was impressed with the quality of it. Tasty fresh and a good price. Will return next time I’m in the area

This review is for Jake’s catering which our office has used twice now. To start, Jake is extremely accommodating when it comes to budget. We basically called him up and asked for themed menus at «X» dollars per person to spend. He then created the perfect menu at our exact price point. He never tried to up-​sell us. Secondly, when we had to make a bit of a last minute date change, Jake didn’t blink an eye and allowed us to do so. He delivered the food on time and in chaffing dishes which kept everything warm.
On to the important part: the food. It’s delicious! Our meal today included a great green salad, chicken breasts which were perfectly cooked and moist, truly amazing collard greens, delicious red beans with huge pieces of andouille sausage, and perfectly cooked southern-​style rice. He also included freshly baked cookies that our office is still raving about (one flavor included giant chunks of Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups!).
We couldn’t be happier with Jake’s service, prices and most importantly — his delicious food! We will absolutely be using him again and can’t wait to see what menu he comes up with next.

I ordered a Turkey Club Melt and it was delicious! All the ingredients were fresh and we cut inline with each other. My only compliant is the quality of bread, which was a little on the cheap side but nonetheless it masked the quality of the ingredients. The sourdough bread could have been a fuller slice. The customer service there was nice and friendly.
My clam chowder was also fresh and hearty. Would definitely come back for more.

Horrible customer service by a male employee working Tues 1.27.15 at 3:45pm. No one was inside when I first walked in so I went in and used the restroom. After my mom finished using the restroom, a male employee had locked the store doors with her inside, stated that she was trespassing, and threatened to call the police. She repeatedly told him that she was going to buy food but he didn’t listen.
He further went on to insult her ability to read English by stating, «You’re Chinese, you don’t understand English.»
That’s no way to treat a customer. He was extremely rude and accusatory.
She ended up buying small Lays chips ($ 2.50) overpriced for the 1.5 oz size. No receipt.
Avoid this place if you don’t want to be insulted, discriminated against, and overcharged.

another super fresh lunch, my stomach is happy happy happy… gotta love that this place always has daily specials to keep us interested and never bored with the same dishes. This lunch spot is PERFECT for my love of variety, especially when I’m sick of bringing the SAME type of lunch day in and day out. Hence, the 5 stars for creativity, ambitiousness, and always a wide variety –I like that they aren’t afraid to try some different dishes and always gives you a choice of at least three different choices.
Yummy to the pork loin sandwich special; pork with havarti and Apple slices on a bed of lettuce on grilled sourdough served with a side of their potato salad. Jake himself rang me up but asked if I wanted to add a beverage –always with a friendly smile. Order staff is always pleasant as well.

I stopped by Jake’s Café yesterday because I wanted to see what this new restaurant had to offer.
First off, I noticed how nice the updated décor is. Good job!
Secondly, the employee that I chatted with was very friendly and made me comfortable.
I ordered the Pesto Chicken Sandwich which came out quickly. The ingredients were fresh and the pesto was very flavorful. The only negative was that the ciabatta was a little dry for me. I’d like to see them offer focaccia.
