I cannot believe this place has five stars. It must be because this place is cheap and people like getting a deal. The rolls are so boring and below average. We ordered quite a bit and I we didn’t love a single thing. We will NOT be coming back. If you want good sushi i suggest you go to Kabuki.

Always amazing! Bigger and better rolls, for way less! If you haven’t had sushi here yet, its about time you did!

Great sushi great prices always fresh and delicious California roll and tempura roll are my favorites and you can get both of them for under 8 bucks you can’t beat it! Dine in area is very small and all the times I’ve been there I’ve only seen 2 people in there I guess mostly takeout customers and it’s only a husband and wife that run this place so if they get a bunch of orders sometimes the takeout wait can exceed 30 minutes but most of the time it’s only 10 minutes

Is it just me or is the place a little dirty? And if I’m going to be eating uncooked food, I think I’d like my Sushi restaurant to have impeccable hygiene habits. Signs and clutter are dust collectors, I’m just saying but I noticed it and it bothered me. That said, yes the prices are very reasonable, and the sushi was decent, but the appearance of the place took away from what was probably perfectly fine food. Please clean up a bit and lose all of that cheap looking signage.

Great food made by a great, little couple hidden away in the strip mall. They provide a delicious product at a very favorable price.

Very good sushi and prices, ask for some complimentary Miso soup that comes with your order [if you ask]. Nice mom-and-pop carry out with some seating to eat if you want.

I’m now a fan. Ordered carryout. 4 rolls — 17 $ :D. Great size rolls and they weren’t falling out all over the place. No complaints. Will go here for my sushi fix from now on.

The menu is like ten items. The sushi isn’t bad, but not anything special. It’s not an aesthetically pleasing place at all. Looks like it was never finished. The owners are nice though! Maybe a quick lunch if you live close but I wouldn’t drive here for the food again.

A Good Value. Pretty good sushi for a great price. The dining area with several small tables along the wall is sparsely and cheaply decorated, as is the entire place. Their dining area closes at 7pm and it seems like most folks get carryout. The menu is small, but seems to offer everything I want. I cannot quite exclaim praise here, but their prices are great and the service is very polite and friendly.

This is by far the cheapest sushi place in Livonia to eat at. Their rolls are under priced for how big the rolls are. The rice, fish, and veges have tasted fresh every time I’ve been in here. I have never carried out and only dined in. They only have five(5) tables in the place and the service is slow but worth it. I’ve had every roll on the menu and my favorite is the Michigan Roll. Their miso soup is delicious; make sure to ask for seaweed to be added. Their house salad is generous in size and the ginger dressing tastes freshly made with ginger with orange/lemon flavors. A true definition of a mom and pop shop. They close early(7 or 8 pm) so if you plan to dine, come earlier. For the price, I’d eat here any day.

Still going strong — Best Sushi in Livonia! — sushi is always fresh, rolls are good size and nicely stuffed, sit down service is semi-self serve with 5 tables and hot tea up front… but it’s still run by the same older Korean couple(BTW bulgogi is a Korean specialty and not to be missed here)

Ehhh. not our favorite. Not bad, just not ‘for us’. Unfortunately, we have had a very different experience than some other reviewers noted. Our service was extremely slow, so slow even that I joked and said I could do things faster blindfolded. It was painful, really. For the majority of the time it was just our table in the restaurant. Us, and one poor sap whom had ordered carry out, I swear he sat there for 35 minutes. The flavors for our particular order were pretty bland which made me sad, and the actual rolls weren’t very cold which made me a wee bit concerned. I was really excited to try this little place, even more so since it’s so cheap! If you dine in, miso and tea is included. There are about 5 tables in the small restaurant, making it compact but not particularly cozy. This is definitely more of a take out place in my opinion.

By far the cheapest sushi around. And the seafood is quality and delicious. We ordered six rooks, a salmon sushi piece, Udom soup, and a seaweed salad all for $ 43. Which probably would’ve been close to $ 100 anywhere else. I wouldn’t have ordered the Udom soup, even though it was delicious because miso soup comes with orders. Another perk is they have complimentary hot tea. While all the tools look appetizing, I highly recommend the Shrimp Tempura roll. It has panko breadcrumbs on top for extra crunch! Yum!

Good food, good price. I had the pink dragon roll and the unagi roll. My wife and I were the only ones there on a Monday afternoon, so our order came very quickly. Everything I had was yummy, we’ll go again sometime soon.

Visited this place for the first time recently. I was happy with the freshness of the sushi rolls, the service was very friendly. The rolls are really made to order. I would say not the best place for dining in, quite small, but it’s great for take out. But for the taste and great price I can’t complain:) definitely will come back. very soon. maybe I should just go right now?;)

I was excited to love this place. It is a little out of the way for me but it was a nice day and I felt like getting out of the office for lunch… so off I went. The menu was not impressive. The menu signs were… yikes, I don’t know — amature? I know sometimes places like this can be considered to be «hidden gems» but I did not think the sushi was all that great. I had the spicy tuna roll, which is my typical staple roll at a new place, and also an avocado roll. The side salad was very generous, but I actually didnt have time to eat it so its still in the fridge at work… oops. I don’t get the hype.

Yup yup yup. Walk up counter, order there, then have a seat and they’ll bring it to you. I ordered 3 avocado rolls which came with soup and tea. $ 7. Plenty of food. I loved the sushi, the wasabi was nice and warm, there was enough on the plate so I didn’t have to ration it, and they refilled my tea. I thought it was very tasty, glad I stopped. Had it not been for Unilocal,I would have driven by because it didn’t look great.

One would not think that great sushi would be found in a strip mall in Livonia but this is the best sushi and sashimi for the price! The hwe dip bap(sashimi salad) is my favorite thing to get there. There is a decent selection of rolls and entrees for as small as the place is but don’t expect a huge variety or complicated rolls. Service is slow so I would definitely order ahead if you are doing carry out.
