Too bad food, I can not believe that it is a Japanese restaurant. After dinner, I felt my stomach was very bad. All The person on that store are Chinese, not Japanese. So the food was not very transitional. The price also was too dear, I think if you guys want to eat the Japanese food, you can try to Noble Fish. And I don’t like that woman in Sushi bar. She was not good to service.

I think I just have a huge affection for these little hole in the wall mom and pop Korean/Japanese places. They may not be for everyone but I adore them. Quick, clean, tasty and friendly. What more could you want? My mom and I spent a lazy Sunday bargathoning. Goodwill, used book stores, a giant La Z Boy chair sale, everything on sale and with coupons to boot. I am teaching her the art of the steal. Whoa Nelly. That comment was too close to Donald Trump for my heart to take. We ended our day here. I had an eight bucks off of 45 coupon I got on saveon(dot)com. That will make me give a place a shot. It was convenient to our last stop and it was a bargain. Yep that’s the secret to my genius right there, I picked it because it was cheap and close to my final destination when my other fave local place was closed for the day. Inspiring, I know. In my defense I did Unilocal it first to double check. We rolled up and it did not look promising. At all. My mom gave me the fish eye but I reminded her that I was paying so I was picking, stop being so atmospherically picky. Yeah, I am a dream child. We found the interior casual but cozy. Cool on a hot day too. We got green tea piping hot and icy cold waters so her hopes increased. Upon returning from a hand washing in the bathroom, she informed me she was further assured as it was immaculately clean in their rest room. This matters tremendously to her. Some very hot miso soup and nicely cold ginger dressed salads later she was quite satisfied. We both ordered the spicy roll combo meals. You get a roll each of spicy tuna, spicy salmon and spicy California roll. I am not a huge California roll person but it definitely adds crunch to a spicy plate and is therefore quite welcome. The fish here is more finely diced than some and other than the California roll, it did not depend on sauce toppings. The spice level was nice. Very pleasant. A great deal with the soup and salad for 14 bucks too. So filling. We had to order a special roll as they left a menu with pics on our table. I mean c’mon. We opted for the American dream which was creamy and luscious with a nice kick of fresh jalapeño. Man do I love fresh jalapeño. that roll was piled high with special toppings. I mean that roll was a freaking meal. Delicious. Plenty of different flavor notes and textures, happiness. Waitstaff was on the ball, sushi chef did great. Fish was fresh. The people were very friendly. Only one other table filled in the joint. Don’t let that scare you off any, they seemed to do a big carryout business. If presentation or atmosphere matters to you I would not recommend it but if you are looking for a nice quiet little place it is great. I would go back. No chirashi on the menu which was a sad surprise but plenty of junked up fun to be had. I like that kind of thing sometimes.

I got carryout from here and it was great. I ordered the 3 roll special that came with a salad and miso soup for $ 13.99. I thought it was a great value. It was packaged nicely and everything tasted fresh. I need to go back and dine in! Their presentation looks beautiful.

We eat here frequently and are never disappointed! It’s my 4 year olds favorite place! Great lunch specials and delivers in a 2 mile radius.

I don’t know what’s going on lately, but I’ve been having the most INSANE cravings for sushi lately!!! My usual go-to was closed when this wave hit me, so I was left to try something new… So I find myself at Izumi. This place actually came as a recommendation from a friend of mine a while back, I had just never had the chance to give it a try. Well, Sunday was the day! I placed an order around 7 pm for pick up. What I liked: — You can order online! — They deliver! — Great hours! They’re open until atleast 9 every night — Staff is nice! What I didn’t: — Slightly pricey for the amount of food you get. I paid about $ 25 for two small sized rolls. — Japanese restaurant that also serves Chinese food? Not that it’s not possible, not that it doesn’t taste great, but it’s a concept I have a hard time wrapping my head around. My rolls were good. Everything tasted fresh and had just enough spice for my liking. I was pleased with my meal, and I’ll keep them in my mind but I don’t think they«wow”-ed me enough to replace my usual spot.

Great size portions for reasonably priced food that is absolutely delicious! This place keeps us coming back. The reason it didn’t get my fifth star is because the hibachi is prepared in the back. No show when dining in this place, but the food is certainly worth it. We recommend the hibachi dinners over anything else on the menu! They come with soup and salad. We’ve never had to wait for a table when dining in and the service is prompt and pleasant. Don’t forget to look for coupons if you’re local.

Love their sushi lunch special and the fact that I can order online! Fast, inexpensive($ 11 for three rolls and miso soup), and pretty good sushi.

Here’s my breakdown: Food: I’m always a little wary when restaurants have multiple types of Asian foods– it would be like going to a French restaurant and them serving some mediterranean and italian because, hey, they are all white too. But that being said, we had some sushi rolls and general Tso’s chicken(decidedly not a typical asian thing to eat) and both were pretty decent. Not mind blowing or awesome by any means but passable for both. Would satisfy a craving for either. For strictly sushi though, I’d still head over to one world market or even sushi house potentially but this is a more convenient location for us. Prices: pretty meh as well. Not exorbitant but not cheap. Ambiance: can’t say– got take out. So yeah, you could do better, but you could do a lot worse as well.

I didn’t like it. My friend told me it was a good place to grab some sushi but I was impressed. I had the sumo roll I don’t recommend it

My husband and I had planned on grabbing sushi at another place, but they were closed and we were having major sushi withdrawals, so we decided to drive a little farther to try out Izumi. I was not disappointed in the least. Their sushi was great, and there were many options. The staff was attentive, and the atmosphere wasn’t bad for a small place. I wish the tables had each felt a little bit more secluded, as do our other favorite Japanese restaurants, but I can get past that and visit again to try out some of their other rolls!

We love love love this sushi. Fresh and so many fun rolls to choose from. Very creative and again — did I mention fresh? Absolutely correct proportions. Wasabi and ginger always fresh and crisp. Miso is delicious. We bring our own alcohol in as they don’t have a liquor license yet.

Sorry, I’ve been to this place twice and neither time was impressive. Rolls were a little undersized and uninspiring. I’ve had much better. I’m guessing they’re having a hard time paying bills because things seem to be a little lacking. Such as number of ingredients in the roll. The food didn’t come like the pictures or descriptions. If I want sushi in the area I think I’ll just go to the other standbys.

Stopped in while in town for business. Seated quickly in a clean space. The server was attentive. The food was fresh and served quickly. I ordered hibachi and found it to be well prepared. Salad was fresh with delicious dressing. Definitely would recommend for a quick meal!

Just experienced perfect sashimi tuna and scallops. High quality food fare. Food has always been good. I have tried a variety of rolls and sushi types. Fishy tasting fish is not for me like it is some self proclaimed sushi coniseur’s. Restaurant is spotless. Service has always been good even when every seat was occupied. I have read other posts regarding service at this facility and I am very puzzled. As far as food criticism, I can only refer to my experiences and personal taste. We all know some people will never be happy and others would critize the best meal in a seedy pathetic effort to get their meal for free. I would recommend this restaurant. I choose to eat here a minimum of twice a week. If you try it and don’t care for it for your particular expectations, might I recommend you don’t return.

I had an Entertainment book coupon(that I printed off the website). When I gave it to them, they told me they«don’t accept Entertainment coupons.» What? They claimed that they had changed ownership several years ago and now don’t accept the coupons. If the ownership had changed after this year’s book came out, I would understand, but this is ridiculous. I ONLY went here because I should have gotten $ 5 off. The sushi was decent, but not amazing, so I won’t be returning purely on principle. I prefer to give my money to honest businesses.

This is my favorite sushi restaurant by far. I come here a lot. I love the miso soup and usually order TWO servings because of that I love that this place offers soy paper for their sushi. The people who work here are so nice and are very attentive to the customer :)

I’m a little torn on this place. On the positive side the sushi was pretty good. I ordered a spicy tuna roll, a tomago(omelet on rice), an unagi freshwater eel and a couple tuna nigiri. The spicy tuna roll wasn’t spicy(at all) but they added some tempura flakes(I think that was the crunch factor) to the filling which I liked very much. The tuna nigiri was fresh and melted in my mouth. The eel was tasty and not bony at all. Service was pretty attentive, the sushi chef was kind enough to say hello, and the restaurant was clean and bright. On the flipside, the plate of sushi that arrived was the worst presentation of sushi I’ve ever seen and almost unappealing to look at. The cut of the tuna was very thin and dainty. The eel was also thin and unattractive while the tomago was dry, crumbly, broken, thin, sad looking and tasted like tea. They only gave me a little wasabi and the ginger was just kind of thrown on the plate in a wet pile. All that aside, the sushi was, again, pretty good tasting but I think the chef was struggling to keep up with customers while the«Help Wanted» sign on the front door let me know that things may be a little off before I even walked in. It’s a solid 2.5 stars but I hope this place improves for its own sake.

It’s basically a storefront Hibachi place. Very limited menu. Staff was trying hard, but they outnumbered the patrons 2 to 1. The dollar roll we had for lunch was OK, nothing special. I wouldn’t order one there again probably. I had the chicken hibachi and my co-worker had the steak hibachi. Same sauce, different meats. I can get the same in the frozen aisle of the grocery store. The rice was likewise lacking anything special. They’re trying to fill a gap left by now-defunct Japanese and Indian restaurants in the same strip mall, but lacking anything to set them apaprt I’m wondering if they’ll be next in line…
