It’s a good as it gets, the sushi here tastes fresh and these comments about the service being poor are completely the opposite to what I’ve experienced. the waitresses have always been amazing, the food has always been great, and the price for sushi is the best I’ve seen. I HIGHLYRECOMMENDTHISPLACE.

Nice place to have lunch/dinner in. The rolls are really good. The prices are very reasonable, and the servers are polite and friendly. Would of gave them a 5 star if they served alcoholic beverages.

Yea, this was one I should have passed on. I ate here Thursday afternoon before the Labor day holiday weekend. I’m glad I really only intended on a quick snack between appointments. It was late afternoon. I was the only patron in the place. I ordered a California roll, salmon, tuna, mackerel and salmon roe. First off I have been eating sushi for over 30 years and although it is a bit expensive for my current budget, I must admit I do indulge from time to time. I always feel it is a special treat to myself when I do. The service was the usual rudeness I expect in a sushi bar, the kind of arrogant attitude and speaking in Japanese so customers do not know what they are really saying. So, no big deal, right? When I was finally served I had to almost laught to myself. The portion was so skimpy it was pathetic. The Salmon Roe which is one of my favorite was so small I do not truly remember tasting the roe at all. I assume it was there. I popped the tiny little roll in my mouth and that was that. The California roll pieces were also the smallest I have ever seen. No substance what so ever. At least they did have some flavor. They even skimped on the frikkin wasabi! The fish was mushy. You know it had been frozen and thawed, not fresh. And, it was not even cheap. The prices were the normal over inflated price of sushi. I would say you get better quality at the grocery store. Do not waste your time here.

I always enjoy this place. There specialty rolls are great. Their traditional cut rolls are good. Sashimi quality is good. Server is always friendly as well as the sushi chef. I have yet to have a sub par experience here. I recommend to my friends.

This is one of the BEST sushi restaurants around. It’s very clean, their prices are reasonable, the employees are always very nice and the food is AWESOME! If you are looking for a quick, inexpensive, sushi night out this is the place to go!

Always friendly and fast service. 3rd time here. Not from MI, so no state bias on the Michigan Lovers. A great salmon roll. Only lacking a liquor license(A Sapporo would finish well with their food!)

Great, friendly staff! Really fresh seafood and quality sushi. They are really detailed-oriented and have amazing presentation. My favorite rolls, which I would really suggest you get are: Mountain Roll, Red Wing Roll(especially if you like crab salad), Mango Roll, and firecracker roll. Yummy!

Food was okay, I had a lunch box my co-workers tried some sushi rolls. Service was terrible lunch took nearly two hours and there were only 3 other tables occupied. We didn’t have our order taken for 20 minutes and waited for our food for over an hour. Went back again a few weeks ago, no improvement would not recommend.

It was my first time tonight, but it won’t be my last. I walked in a little after 9 and the sushi chef was very welcoming. The only reason I went was because Unilocal said they closed at 10:30 but they actually close at 10. Regardless of how late it was the sushi chef(Nick) was amazing. He was cracking joke the whole time. He also made great sushi and happy to accommodate to not loving super spicy food. I’d go back just for him, and he has only been there for a few months. Prices were also reasonable. Everyone needs to give this place a shot.

Great value for lunch considering the meal quality is fairly high. Bento box is perfect for lunch if you work around this area.

I’m sorry to say, but I was horribly disappointed in this restaurant. I looooove sushi and was so excited to try a new place. However, my meal was over priced and disappointing. To start, I got a veggie tempura appetizer that consisted if 5 tiny pieces of veggies(1PC of asparagus cut in half, 1 onion ring, half a slice of sweet potato, and a very small piece of broccoli) for $ 4.95(!!!). My inari and tamago were average/fine and priced well at $ 1.50 each. However my spider roll($ 9.95) was almost inedible. I loooove soft shell crab, and I have never eaten it with such a fishy taste. It was obviously not fresh. I was on my lunch break at work and didn’t have time to go elsewhere, so I doused it in soy sauce and ate it as quickly as possible, but it definitely left a bad taste in my mouth. My total bill with tip was about $ 22(I tipped normally because even though the service wasn’t great, it wasn’t bad either and it wasn’t their fault that the food was disappointing and overpriced). I was REALLY hoping this would be a new fave spot for my lunch breaks, but I definitely won’t go back there.

Excellent Sushi! Good prices for some of the freshest fish I’ve had at this type of walk in place. Truly great Sushi. The owners are very nice. The only downside to the place is they are closed on Mondays. I like Sushi on Mondays too! Oh well. Everything they make is delicious. I will continue to frequent this location and I suggest you do too!

I don’t like seafood so I can’t comment on the sushi, but the chicken teriyaki from here is amazing. I did try bulgolgi here but I did not like it as much, I will definitely be coming back for the teriyaki though. Service was good, they play both Korean and Japanese music in the restaurant which was nice.

A bit pricey compared to other sushi places in the area, but what I tasted was good. I was going to give 3 stars until I saw the sushi chef cook salmon sushi with a blow torch! That earned them an extra star! The place is small, with a few tables.

Our favorite place in Metro Detroit to dine on some sushi! Very affordable. Wait staff is friendly and contrary to other reviews the sushi is always fresh and flavorful. Our favorite roll is the Firecracker! While I’m prepping for a competition I dine weekly on the Sashimi. Strongly recommend you try this establishment.

This was the worst sushi I have ever had. The rolls smelled and tasted fishy and fell apart. I will be lucky not to get food poisoning. Avoid this place!

I’m no sushi or roll expert, but I liked what I had. Devil rolls and tiger rolls. I carried out and my meal was ready quickly.
