Would not go back. We just got back from here, and my son just got a bout of diarrhea. The cheeseburgers were mediocre at best, the raspberry lemonade tasted like it was mixed from powder. We ate outside and were locked outside until somebody finally let me back in to use the restroom. Service was very slow for a rather small order. Also, the fries were way too well done. Skip this place!

Such a fun and different place to eat. Im usually not big on burgers but everytime I come here I finish the whole thing! Best part is creating your own milkshake. There is so many options you wont know what to pick!

There was a lot oh hype and trash talking leading up to our visit to Cheeburger Cheeburger last week. Out of the 9 present in our group, 4 of us were going for the 1 pound challenge. I’ve had several 1 pound burgers in the past, so I didn’t anticipate any problems, and I wasn’t disappointed. The place was only moderately full for Friday, which was a pleasant surprise. I ordered a pound burger with cheddar/jack mix, bacon, and onion rings on it, along with a small fry. The we sat back and waited… and waited… and waited… and waited some more. 30 minutes later our food arrived. To their credit, they state on the menu it will be at least 20 minutes to prepare it. My burger was nice and juicy, but closer to medium well than it was medium rare. The bun was nice an fluffy, just the right texture to accompany the meat. I polished mine off in due course(I was actually the 3rd out of the 4 of us done), and then I polished off my not so small fries(they we’re a large anywhere else). The fries were good and still hot, with the skin on them just the way I like them. We waddled out and put our«we’re famous» pictures on the board by the entrance(the pictures compliments of the house for being brave/fool enough to do the challenge). The we vowed to come back someday and do the double pounder… we’ll see. All in all a nice experience, but it is rather costly and takes a long time, so I won’t be going back on a regular basis, but I will be going back!

I get dragged here every once in awhile by my girlfriend who loves the horseradish sauce and mint choc chip shakes. If you’ve never been, banish the thought of John Belushi impersonators in samurai outfits hacking up your sandwich with a sword. Cheeburger is a chain of retro«50s diners.» And by 50s diner I mean a place that sells milkshakes and plays Little Richard songs in hopes that inferring some vague nostalgia can pass as a lively or intriguing atmosphere. While you may not find Fonzi in his bathroom office, you will find a menu of 50s diner fare… burgers, fries, shakes and that’s about it. The food is pretty fair and the service is friendly even if sometimes overwhelmed. The best thing that this place has going for it is that you can«build your own burger» by selecting whatever toppings you’d like off the roster. But the selection of toppings is sort of weak and could use more variety.

Wow… there are certainly lots of opinions on Cheeburger Cheeburger. I guess I can’t really complain about my visit. All of us had great burgers, prepared just how we like them. This truly a place for bizarre taste in toppings like mine. I chose fried onions, guacamole, jalapenos, and pepper jack cheese. Quite a decent burger. The fries were very tasty, hot and crispy. I guess I didn’t experience all of the bad stuff that some of the reviewers spoke about. For me there was good quick service and real good food. I’ll try this place again.

The food in general is pretty good here and the shakes are awesome. The only complaint I have is the dinner salad. Not the typical dinner salad in that it consists of lettuce, cheese, croutons and a ton of black olives. I hate black olives. It took 5 minutes to clear them off the salad. I don’t recall the ingredients of the dinner salad being provided on the menu. If they were I would’ve definitely told the waitress to delete the olives.

My husband and I were staying at the Marriott just around the corner and were excited to actually try this place for dinner. We checked out their website before deciding to eat there or not, and we were excited to see that they had the option of ordering online. We decided to place our order from our room and then my husband headed over 30 minutes later to pick up our food. The first problem was that they didn’t know that he had placed an order, so when he walked in to pick it up(assuming that it’d be ready since the site told us that our order would be ready in 30 minutes), he was frustrated that they didn’t have our order at all. Instead of taking ownership of the problem, they placed blame on us for ordering online. WHAT? Then they weren’t sure if we paid online or not(we had not) and told him that he should pay and then if it turned out that we had already paid, we could come back and get the money(I was the one that placed the order and he wasn’t sure if I had paid or not). Then he brought the food back to the hotel and they had forgotten the salads that came with our dinner. He called and told them that they forgot the salads and he’d be back to get them. They said he could either have a credit to the store and just come back another time and food would be on them(NOT), or they’d give him a milk shake to make up for forgetting the salad. We took the shake. I will say that the shakes are awesome… but the food wasn’t great, wasn’t worth the hassle, and an hour and 15 minutes later, I was left highly disappointed. It was a lot of anticipation for lousy food.

I really don’t hate this place. We have stopped in a few times either before or after swim lessons for my older son, on a weeknight, so maybe we are just lucky to be there when it’s not busy? He loves the burger and always gets onion rings as his side — which come in a really cute vintage cardboard car. I have had the burger with some of the fun extras, I only wish they had some ideas for combinations, since there are a TON of topping choices, and I was tired and not feeling inspired, but wouldn’t mind trying something new. The onion rings were great with the variety of dippy sauces. I was stuffed and took half my burger home, so no shakes for us — but I really want to try one. Growing up in the ’80’s, I really want to try the Nerds shake next time I’m in, I will probably only lasy a few sips, but it will be soooo worth it! The décor is cute ’50’s inspired sock hop, Happy Days, neon. Very fun. I would not say it’s the best burger I’ve ever had, but I didn’t hate it. They do take a bit longer than you would expect, but we managed to amuse ourselves — and I don’t think it’s meant to be fast food… take time to enjoy a bit! Our first visit in the staff was very helpful to explain how the menu works, etc. Maybe they have been checking their reviews on Unilocal

It’s never good when you drive by a restaurant and think with the second-functions on your number keys. But these burgers have the $^@%ing worst buns ever to sandwich a burger. Seriously, this food review can’t even pass the bread. This burger joint false-starts. And a burger that doesn’t qualify can’t even dream of the podium. Poor service and an abused sense of design make this a must-miss for the Haggerty Man.

I’ve been to Cheeburger Cheeburger twice, and both times, I thoroughly enjoyed my meal. I ordered a classic burger with several toppings including provolone cheese and onion rings and«best of both basket» that comes with fries and onion rings. My burger was flavorful and fries and onion rings were also delicious. My waitress or the cook did forget my coleslaw topping, but they brought it out on the side when I mentioned it. I haven’t tried any of their malts/shakes or exotic sodas(I just stuck with basic lemonade), but they do have a wide variety. I will definitely be going back to this place.

We decided to give this place a try. It has had several mentions as one of the better burger places and I had a half off coupon in our Entertainment book. I checked it out online beforehand and was excited to see among their burger toppings were cheddar cheese, teriyaki and pineapple, a slam dunk in my husband’s book. Needless to say I had high hopes. We arrived and it was a wreck. The restaurant was not that crowded but it seemed that way. The set up is awful. They tried to seat us in the front but I asked for a table in the roomier back area. Our waiter was less than helpful even when we explained it was our first visit. Scanning the menu we saw there was no teriyaki or pineapple topping, when we asked we were told they only have what they list on their menu, not what is on the website. Disappointed we moved on. We both decided on the Angus Burger platter which comes with a bun only on request. I went to town on toppings; provolone, extra lettuce, tomatoes, salsa, guacamole, jalapenos and onion rings. I chose onion rings with texas horseradish sauce and coleslaw as my sides. James went simple with a bun, double cheddar cheese and a side of A1 sauce, his sides were the fries with creamy cheese dip and a side salad with ranch. As we waited and waited and waited for our food we noticed a lot of agitation from others waiting. There were screaming kids, flustered parents and a table that was calling frantically to keep an appointment as they waited for their to go order. Mind you the restaurant at this point was barely half full. James finally got his salad but no cole slaw for me. The salad had very nice lettuce but not much else. We got our drinks in paper cups and were less than impressed, the pop was quite flat even and very little ice so it was none too cold. Again we waited and waited and waited. At one point I saw another waitress talking to our waiter and pointing at us as another server brought out our not so piping hot food. Frankly I think he failed to pick up our order and it was under the warmer too long. When our food arrived, it was not the heaping platter you would hope for. There was not much of each type of fixing, even ones you asked for extra of. The burgers were unimpressive, but hey they were none too hot so who knows if they had been fresher. The onion rings and fries were skimpy. My o rings at least had good taste, James had part limp and part dried out fries, sad really. My cole slaw was in the tiniest paper cup you have ever seen and tasted less than fresh to boot. I was highly annoyed. When we were almost done our waiter came back to check on us, gee thanks. Seeing our empty cups he asked if there was anything he could get. When I said«More pop please» he seemed annoyed. He walked away and had to return to see if it was diet or regular, small favor. After a lengthy wait for that we also had to wait on the bill, even going up to the counter to remind them«Hey we got a movie to get to» after an hour and a half of a simple burger meal. We had planned to return for dessert later after our movie but figured we had had enough for one night. Thank goodness for the coupon or the night would have been a total wash. We will not be returning. Update: I was so upset about this dining experience I informed the company via email. They sent me a twenty dollar certificate to give the place another try. We never did go back though, should tell you how bad it was. I also had this review on my blog and the waiter and his friends heaped a ton of abuse on me for it, lovely.

I don’t know why my friends love this place… I personally don’t think it’s any special than say, your local burger joint. I rate three stars because I wasn’t really impressed by their food or their menu. I went there with group of my friends to celebrate a friend’s birthday. Two of my friends ordered the famous pounder with like 10+ toppings… why I don’t know, other than the glory of having a picture taken and placed on the wall… I settled for the classic with typical toppings, but added things like hot pepper, etc. ordered it medium, along with onion rings. If you have large group, have patience when ordering and the time it takes to get your food. Like I said, I wasn’t moved by the taste of the burger. Their onion ring with the dipping sauce was good. It was nice that you could select from five different dipping sauces or you could ask for everyone! To my amazement, my friends finished their famous ponder… hmm, let’s see… added couple pounds to their weight, all that intake of oily food = less time on earth and more time at the hospital when they get older!!! Good thing they don’t go here once a week! If you are allergic to peanut, they only use peanut oil. They have signs at the entrance, so if you go with friends that are allergic to peanuts, turn around and go to a different place! The inside is designed liked diner from the 60’s and service is hit or miss, depending on who you get and how big your group is.

I was never fan of restaurant chain. But I kind of liking this place. burgers are flavorful and buns were nice and warm. And you have just about any kind of toppings you can get…20, 30? something like that. I might just go back finishing one of their«one ponder» and have my picture taking… what ya think?

Was a little disappointed in my burger. Ordered it medium and it was a bit dry. Should have requested medium rare even though it wasn’t an option on the menu. Onion rings and fries were good. I did not have a homemade soda or shake so this review may be incomplete or maybe I’m just a cheeseburger snob after years of eating Red Coat Tavern burgers.
