Went here awhile back. Truthfully I gave up sweets for lent and thought this would be the perfect loop hole(very Catholic of me… I know). The parking for this place sucks, try and find parking on a residential street if possible. Pretty much with every other healthy option this is quite expensive. I went ahead and tried like a sampler of chocolates. I liked almost all of them. Would I get them again? Probably not. I think I’ll just stick with my unhealthy snickers bars. My fiancé got some shake, it was a medium size and he paid $ 9. It was horrible tasting. It was so thick I felt like I was doing the cinnamon challenge while drinking it. He’s not one to waste, and tried on several occasions to finish it but wasn’t able too. I don’t remember the name of the drink… hopefully you don’t get it, or if you do it tastes good for you!

Truly psychedelic hot chocolate. Magical staff. No room to sit but doesn’t even matter because the chocolate is so good.

Way too good. I am a cacao loverrr(insert heart emojis)! My friend brought me here — I intended to bring some back to my father, who likes to try experimental chocolate style foods — but ate them the entire trip home. HEY, TRAFFICOKAY. I’ll definitely be back!

Updated rating: I’m giving my favorite local chocolate shop a full 5 stars. I love the integrity behind this place. Everything is made with love and care. The services is always friendly and professional. I don’t remember exactly why I gave only 4 stars last time. Maybe because they had one item with honey. That shouldn’t be held against them though. 99.9% of their menu is vegan. My forever all time favorite is the SALTEDVANILLABUTTERFUDGESQUARE – absolutely mouthgasmic!!! It’s always a treat to come here!

This place is amazing! I got some chocolates and the fudge. OMG the caramel salted fudge is to DIE for. I enjoyed it with the Yogi tea… It was pricey, but well worth the splurge of delish. Would love to send some to my sister in NYC… but would be afraid it would not make it… boo.

I was *SO* disappointed with this place. As a vegan and die-hard dark chocolate lover, I thought I found a place that would bankrupt me. I was interested in all the truffles and when I entered they gave me a sample of the chocolate they use. It had a chalky flavor. Didn’t order any truffles. I got a chocolate«milkshake» instead, which tasted like it had old coconut water in it that had gone bad. I couldn’t drink more than a little of it. It wasn’t sweet, which I actually like, but it had the same chalky flavor as the chocolate. I don’t know if the chalky flavor is there because they use straight cocoa powder and don’t know how to smooth it out, or maybe it has something to do with adding maca?(I’d never had maca before, so I’m not sure what it tastes like, but I don’t think the milkshake had maca in it.) I gave 2 stars because the person I went with ordered a vanilla fudge square that was very very good. But it’s not chocolate, which is what they supposedly specialize in.

This place does NOT sell chocolate. The first time I ate here a friend of mine, who needs to explain everything with a PowerPoint presentation went on and on about the health benefits of eating their cacao. I ate some, it was bland and expensive. A few months later I went back and ate one piece, it was kind of good! Then by the third time I was hooked! It’s very unique, authentically hippy and weird. Now when people visit me from out of town I take them here. It BLOWS their minds! I love this place now, even if I expect one day all the staff will end their lives in some sort of Jim Jones ritual, they got this weird hippy vibe. But the staff is very friendly and sincerely nice. I just hope they don’t drink kook aide. Love this place.

Oooohhh… so THAT’S what hot cocoa is supposed to be like! This textural dream warmed the belly and the soul alike, not to mention was served with a smile. Boy, oh boy do I love my neighborhood

I am a regular here. As someone with very strict dietary needs, this place is nothing short of a godsend. The guys here are so friendly and even give me an extra treat or two because I’m here several times per week to stock up. Not only are the treats wholesome, they taste fabulous. My favorites are the vanilla fudge and the little fudge pieces. I like the maple fudge, too. There isn’t anything here I haven’t tried, and nothing here that I haven’t liked. I am planning another visit in the next day or two! See you guys soon!

This vegan chocolate shop is so so good! Everything I have tried was yummy. It reminds me of the movie Chocolat, all the goodies seem to be made with not only the finest ingredients, but also the most important ingredient, love. The workers here are all so inviting. I will say it is pricy, but I’m glad, because if it was cheap I would eat way too much of this stuff!

I was compelled to visit after I saw their Arctic Fungi for sale at Steamed. I ended up purchasing a couple of those plus the Kundalini Rising for my meditation guru and several truffles for my office peeps. As we completed the transaction, I look at the other case and see jars of kimchi and sauerkraut for sale I couldn’t pass up the kimchi. All the the chocolates I purchased got rave reviews back at work. The Arctic Fungi is dark chocolate that contains chaga mushroom from Alaska, hence the name. Justin, the proprietor, showed me the displayed piece which looks like a burl from a tree. The taste of the chocolate contained a hint of earthiness, though that could have been my imagination. Cute place. Nice owner. Reasonable prices. It’s perfect for Retro Row!

I never would have thought Vegan sweets are so delicious! It’s good to be wrong! I try and pick up a few treats every week. Everything rocks with tons of flavor. But no chemicals or other things that are harmful for you… Service is very friendly and knowledgable! I highly recommend this place!!!

I had been wanting to try this place for about a year. I finally made it over to fund that the chocolatier that made the chocolates I wanted to try no longer worked there. Ugh. I bought a few treats anyway(3 pieces). They were okay. I didn’t finish them. I would probably get these for a Vegan friend as a hostess gift or something, but I’m not planning on returning.

Woke up bright and early to get some raw sweets. Service was friendly and helpful. I ordered a bit of every thing… and it all tastes rich and smooth. I would recommend eating their chocolates over sees candy or any other vegan dark chocolates because their chocolates are the first type of chocolate that refused to make me feel nauseous after indulging. I would recommend the sea salt caramel I wish I knew how many grams of natural sugars they have in the chocolates; nevertheless, they still taste great and not as sweet as pictured.

Totally unique! Raw vegan fudge? I didn’t even know that was a thing. These guys take extreme care with their entire process. Lee, the guy who helped us decide which delectable treats to try, was super friendly, knowledgeable, and eagerly answered our questions. To demonstrate how passionate they are about their entire process, We wound up talking about their cacao supplier in Ecuador, and how their shop was super psyched that he just got a special grinder that will help him improve his production. That’s pretty close to your source, right? The end product is a sweet, mostly healthy, and guilt-free indulgence.

This chocolate joint is good! I went here cause I want to surprise my girlfriend for a sweet treat and she likes it. They sell homemade chocolates straight from their store. The ambiance is great and people that sells are very helpful for first time costumers. I have no idea how it will turn out at first when I walked in, but sometimes you have to try something random and it pays off. I ordered their Gold Karat bar which contains their assortment of truffles. It is great for first time costumers since you don’t know what to expect. Their chocolates are somewhat pricey, but overall not bad for some homemade treat :)

I’ve come here a couple times. The first time I think I had some sort of mango chocolate and it definitely left an impression on me as well as the friendly customer service so I came back a second time to try one of their chocolate milkshakes. Okay yes it was $ 7 which I don’t mind paying, considering what I’m actually supporting and that goes for their other items as well that seem to be a bit pricey. Check out their«Vision & Ingredients» tab on their blisscompound website. They really thought this out, there is a bigger picture here, they’re smart about this and I’m definitely on board to support it. They also use plastic cups that are biodegradable and made from plants! I mean cmon. My first sip was traumatically delicious. I couldn’t figure out what was going on, slightly dazed in amazement, almost like an out of body experience. haha What I do have a problem with is the coconut milk which tends to have a lot of saturated fat which raises cholesterol levels which can stress out the body which I definitely felt because I couldn’t finish the milkshake. Maybe the antioxidants from the cacao counteract it? but I think it’s definitely split-able between two people. The next time I go in I’ll see if they offer different«milk» alternatives like hemp, almond or soy because I think that would be a great idea. Also my milkshake was room temperature, if that was intentional for health benefit reasons I understand but I’m not sure, otherwise maybe offer some ice as an option for the customer. If you’re looking for a dessert that will leave an impression and enhance your experience I recommend coming here.

Sorry. And I mean it. I’m sure there are plenty of people who enjoy this type of raw chocolate(thanks for showing me this place Anthony N.!), but I’m not a fan. Trying bits and pieces of my friends’ chocolate only cemented the fact that I’m probably not coming back to this place. I was also a bit put off by the little gnats inside the glass case. Anyway, check in for a Unilocal code. You’ll need it. This place is pretty darn pricey.

I just walked through a curtain of cacao and I LIKEIT! No doubt in my mind I’ll be revisiting this place. Those healthy guys making the chocolate were really nice and impressionable. Making their moms proud I’m sure. The salted caramel was recommended. I ate it, enjoyed it and regretted walking out with just one. Basically I have no choice but to return.

I really wanted to like this, but I just couldn’t. In the interest of full disclosure, I’m an omnivore, so I’m accustomed to sweet and creamy desserts that have milk and sugar in them. But, I’ve tasted some yummy vegan desserts, including chocolate based ones, and so I skipped right into this unpronounceable store and was ready for my vegan chocolate experience. My preference in general is for dark chocolate, so I don’t mind some bitterness. But this tasted as though it had no sweetener at all. I ordered 4 truffles(fudge, salted vanilla, banana, guava), and couldn’t bring myself to finish them. All of the fillings were slightly gritty(didn’t bother me, but might bother you), and tasted totally bitter and unsweetened. Unless I’m mistaken, there are several sweeteners that satisfy raw vegan requirements, so I’m a little confused by why everything tasted so bitter. This might be great for someone who’s accustomed to eating these types of raw vegan desserts, but I don’t know if this is a vegan dessert that can successfully bridge the gap and appeal to omnivores.
