Denny’s

Came in here for the first time in years 2÷14÷2016 about one hour after a horrible pizza experience down on shoreline. My sister and I were seated quickly, and we ordered within 5 minutes. Shout out to server Keyana for working like crazy, being one of two servers in charge of the whole place (asside from manager). We got everything in a timely fashion and all the food was good! It was Valentine’s Day, so thank you guys for making our sister evening end on a high note with awesome pancakes and shakes!

Came here on a Saturday night, we were a party of 5. Walked in got walked to a table at the corner. Waited… waited server no wjere to be seen. Went to ask the host if theserver knew we were seated cause we have been waiting for over 20 minutes. She said she’ll let them know to come right over. Waited for about another ten minutes and two more parties were seated. It became upsetting to see those parties being approached getting their drink orders when we never saw a server at all. Got up spoke to the manager, explained to the manager whats going on and because of it we were leaving. he tried to «take care of us» but at that point the lack of service already made an impact and even if we would’ve stayed i would’ve felt uncomfortable and im sure we wouldve probably only been seen once or so.

Really great job guys remodeling the place and hiring security, not sure if that’s just for late night, but regardless is essential for any downtown area. He was really nice too and opened the door for us entering and leaving. The server was great, wish I wouldnt have forgotten his name, but he was very friendly and accommodating. My last visit early in the A.M. on Friday. Great job to everyone working that night. My biscuits and gravy breakfast was delicious!

Se tardaron un vergo. 20 minutes and waiting and nothing cane to table…30 minutes and nothing. Place was okay but they take too long.

Great service! I think our waiter’s name was Oscar (I had to call in to get his name, so I hope that’s the right guy!). Our orders are pretty picky, being vegetarian, but he replaced our food with more veggies. There are quite a few waiters who won’t actually do that. We really liked the apples in the fruit he brought out, so he kept bringing us more. He sent us home with extra and even gave us the name of the brand. He was super kind, not overbearing, and we will absolutely be back because of him!

Only because I’ve been here for less than 20 mins (ok maybe longer since it took me a while to write and edit this post) which took me that long to get a drink of water or some acknowledgement what so ever and I’m not the type to write a review about petty things like this. But the fact that another customer is complaining about quick service, also make me not think I’m being very petty. But then again it’s the hood #Dennys hope the customer service gets better, than again I don’t knock the #hustle!i tried to make it before witching hour! #didntwork

5 stars for the server LUIS. came in on a sunday, it was busy but we got seated fast and we got our food on time. people around here are weird, but i see that they dont discriminate homeless people.

The place has been renovated, but they left the dirty old carpet, restroom and nasty entrance. The people are nice and the food is the same.

It’s been like for ever that I step foot back in this Dennys. I moved out from downtown Long Beach since 1997. It was my day off of work and my wife and I decided to go and visit my lovely mother who still leaves here.
We were hungry and we didn’t see any IHOP near by so we choose Dennys. waitress Marchellina was great, very attentive always checking to see if we needed anything else, she was sweet and always with a smile. Mother tried to order her breakfast thinking she spoke Spanish LoL!!! Her look was like… please help so I intrepid for her… but other then that I give her a 10… now the restaurant, food was delicious and well cooked… also a 10 for the chef.
The place was ok, but the restrooms were dirrrrrrtyyyyy!!! Nasty!!! Smelly too! That alone takes two stars off. Sorry Dennys just telling it like it is.

I was surprised to find that this Denny’s was so clean and so well run. The amazing part is that they have gluten-​free options that are actually astoundingly good. I had the senior breakfast of egg whites. It come, s if you want, with the gluten-​free English muffin. The gluten-​free muffin is so good it’s nuts. For those of you that want to eat healthy this is a great option.

Last night was my second time here, first time was not that great just assumed it was slow because they were busy. Last night they were not that busy and it was horrible. First they took awhile to seat us, second took long to hand us menus and after they finally took our order took forever to bring our drinks and food. Our waiter never bothered to check on us or offer refills. Finally when I could finally flag a waiter down to ask for a to go box and bill they quickly brought it to us, sort of to scoot us out of there quickly. It seems like all the waiters gather in the kitchen area socializing and trying real hard not to make eye contact with customers in order to not have to attend customers. When I walked up to the cashier to pay he had the nerve to ask «how was everything tonight» I did not hesitate to tell him HORRIBLE… I told home not once did anyone offer a refill or check on us he did not say a word… Did not even try to apologize. I should of learned my lesson after the first time but definetly won’t be a third time.

I just wanna say that Keyana was great but this is by far the worst Denny’s I’ve ever been to! They are not well staffed and could not handle the after bar rush. This has happens EVERY TIME I come here. Regret it every time but it’s just so close to home and 24 hrs … –_​_​_​–

This place doesn’t even deserve one star. The vibe was off. Our waitress was emotionless. Not welcoming. I Asked for a medium rare steak. The cook did not get it right. They tried 3 TIMES! And every time he over cooked it. Or it was an odd grey color. I gave up and just had to tell them I didn’t want the steak anymore. How can you not cook it right, 3 times??! And I almost got charged for a steak I never got. I had to talk to the manager. And he was nice enough to not charge me for the whole dinner. But it was a bad experience. Never going there again.

I found something in my BBQ sauce that really freaked me out I asked for the manager and he gave me the AARP discount on my food needles to say I was not happy I will never come back to this establishment again

I don’t think they clean the bathrooms often. To be fair I was too scared to go in, this hypothesis is soley based on the smell like 6 booth distances away… On a side note the waitress, named Eagle, managed to salvage the experience with excellent service and great reccomendations.

This is by far the worst denny’s i have been too it very disappointing to come in on the 4^th of July to an all american dinner in a all american city to have my afternoon shattered with the service the preparation of the food and the overall lack of pride !!! There staff slugs around wishing the hours would go faster at least that what there persona tells me and the way there whole domineer !!! Please stay away this place does not deserve to have the name Denny’s on the door !!! The franchise should be strip !!! I will def be calling the franchise

This place is the absolute worst dennys Iv ever been to. The service was horrendous. It took 20 mins to get menus and water, we seated ourselves. When the food finally arrived 45 mins later it actually got worse. Dennys is not by any means a high end resturaunt, it’s a cheap convenient place to grab a quick bite. When the fries came out if you grabbed one they all stuck together which means the oil they were frying in was old and dirty. I had the appetizer platter and hash browns, everything was fried on the very brown almost black. I also killed 4 ants in the booth I was originally sitting then we moved. The staff was extremely mean and rude. Dennys should tear this place down and save they’re company from further embarrassment

Five stars for being the sketchiest Denny’s ever! Homeless fights, bad service, and questionable food handling procedures, this place has it all. Show up between 2:00am and 5:00am to catch the best action. Bonus trivia: There was a fatal gang-​related shooting in the parking lot last year.

Waited almost 20 minutes just to get my drinks. 3 people that came in 5 minutes after me had drinks before I did. I feel like my table is ignored. I asked for the check 10 minutes ago and I am still waiting on it. Food was alright. Service was horrible. I feel really neglected. Scratch that, 15 minutes ago. I’m still waiting. My buddies have been done with their endless pancakes and are still waiting to get more. She never asks. So I finally have the check now. Thanks keyana for the wonderful waiting game.

Terrible service. Unsanitary. Forgot utensils and forgot orders. The food was so salty. Don’t bother coming here.
