Riley’s is my new local food + drink place. It’s convenient, clean, comfortable, fun, and the waitresses are all awesome. My favorite times to go are weekday lunch(short rib + upgrade fries to tots), happy hour(really awesome value), and breakfast(the usual). The food is quite decent for a bar, almost kind of like our little own Yard House in the Shore, and the tap list is great too. I’m really happy it’s right here in our new neighborhood.

First time coming here. They have good happy hour and fast service. Self seating and they will come to you quick. They have good chilli cheese tots there. Better than hooters hands down. I also ordered the chicken wings. Its a little over cook but still pretty good cause of the buffalo sauce. The cheese burger slider was filling bread and meat was pretty thick. Also comes with fries which it was salty. But yeah you can’t go wrong with the tater tots here. Nice spot to grab a beer and food during happy hour. I’ll come back here once in a while.

Alright so I have been to Riley’s a handful of times but am writing this Unilocal review because of the service. The happy hour here is amazing(one of the best I’ve ever been to, especially if you’re hungry). The ambiance is casual and comfortable and the food is above par, especially for the price. I was here this last Sunday for brunch with some friends for a change from my usual happy hour visits. I can honestly say the service I received was so outstanding that I actually had to compliment the waitress(Melissa #1, she said there were 2 haha). She was so fast, accommodating, FUN and never even rolled an eyelash from the many requests of my friends– while also serving what seemed to be another 10+ tables. May I also say she is a mimosa filling ninja.

This place was cool and laid back, service was non stop. Multiple girls taking care of our table of five(5) for 3 hours. Friendly and attentive staff. Food was good, could have been better. The huevos rancheros needed something crunchy, under seasoned. Bottomless mimosas for brunch were awesome. Really loud, but good for watching football and getting together with friends. Great atmosphere for any gathering. Danielle, Jordan, Emily, and Bri were awesome!!! And gorge! Great first time experience.

Currently sitting here waiting for my food as I write this review. — Okay, that was weird, our food came out right after I wrote that sentence. And it only took 40 minutes for the food to come out! Look at that! According to the waitress who did not visit us once during the 40 minutes of waiting(No excuse! There were only 3 other tables plus she was on her phone behind the bar) the steak takes 25 minutes to cook. That does not explain why we had to wait 40 minutes. My brother received his steak and it was a measly 5 slices and not even a hand full of French fries. Over priced and disappointing. Oh my gosh. The steak was rubbery and gross and the asparagus bed was dry and over cooked. The fish tacos were to die for according to my other brother and sister in law. The pulled pork sandwich was okay. Honestly, I was just at a point of walking out but I had some respect for myself and this place to stay.

AMAZING!!! Definitely try the wings to start things off! Tried the the pulled pork pizza and was delicious! The flat iron steak was just as delicious! The girls(more than one helped out) were always quick to serve us and were very sweet.

Been here about 3 times. Solid sports bar and better beer selection than most of the other joints nearby. Pretty good beer and pretty good food. Of the options I’ve tried in the area, not a bad choice. Service has been hit or miss but they get crazy busy on the weekends sometimes.

Great hamburgers and excellent beer selection. In this part of Long Beach, there is a lot of small restaurants. We picked this one by the photos on Unilocal. We all had the $ 9 lunch special. The special is any hamburger or sandwich and a pint of beer. I had the Brie and bacon patty melt. It was great. The other two guys had the braised short ribs sandwich and the hamburger with the jalapeño cream cheese. Both were great. The one thing was, the jalapeño cream cheese, was just cream cheese with jalapeño mixed in. The beer list was probably one of the best beer selections I’ve seen. They had all the big microbrews and great small breweries, like Fig Mountain. Sit outside and enjoy.

Great brunch. The food was yummy and they had bottomless mimosas for $ 10. Service was great, too. We had the protein breakfast, the spinach omelette, breakfast panini and the huevos rancheros. yum. The rancheros were a bit too cuminy and American for my taste, but they weren’t horrible. Everything else was great!

Sunday brunch while your favorite NFL team plays… I consider Riley’s the most underrated pub/restaurant on 2nd St. They have a great champagne brunch, the staff is very friendly and the owner(Ian) walks around introducing himself to new patrons and shaking hands of all the regulars. It’s a place with a great vibe.

Everything I imagined for a gastropub and LA brewery. Guava mojito is a killer treat and here I met with so many friends old and new –then got so drunk with them… good times

Came here the other night for dinner… I am beginning to feel full just thinking about it. Riley’s, in my opinion, is the much better yet forgotten sibling on 2nd street. I have NEVER understood why Simmzy’s gets so much love. They’re overrated. There’s a half a bus on their wall, so I guess that makes them hip. Just kidding, I have no idea why people flock to the joint like the salmon of Capistrano. ANYWAYS, Riley’s wasn’t as crowded, but it’s just as casual as you want to be. There’s a bar with TVs above or seat-yourself tables inside or out. Our waitress(I can never remember names, stupid me!) was awesome: attentive, funny and knowledgeable. Would come back just for her even. We ordered to share: — House salad with Ranch: I usually don’t like Ranch, I think it smells like feet but this was reeaaally good dressing — Buffalo wings: loved ‘em! — Mango-Jalapeño(Bacon) Pizza: try it, so worth it — Short Rib Grilled Cheese: nice take on a grilled cheese, pickled onions are a lovely touch — Beer: always good, c’mon And yes, once again, ate the rest of what was left within an hour. Bomb dig. Dare ya to branch out a bit fellas.

Came here right before brunch ended at 1PM on a Sunday and it was fairly empty. I got the breakfast panini for $ 8! It came with some bland, dry, hard, partly burnt potatoes and I asked for some salsa to taste better. The panini was good, but it didn’t blow my mind. It had scrambled eggs, pastrami(i think), green apples and cheese. The cheese was honestly what made it good because it gave a great flavor. I can’t also help the fact that I’m a huge cheese lover. It was good and sufficient, but I gave it 4 stars because of the price. You can’t beach a brunch for less than $ 10!

Went to Riley’s on a Wednesday evening after a disappointing HOA Meeting. Danielle was my server and did a great job! Right up front she mentioned all Pizzas were $ 7(Wednesday night only — normally they’re $ 12). These aren’t the 6 inch personal pizzas with pepperoni. Riley’s pizzas are full size and all feature gourmet toppings such as Mango Jalapeño, Margherita and Arugula! I also asked for an opinion on the Firestone brew which ended up being light and a bit hoppy. Because it was late I ordered the Asada Quesadilla from the Appetizers which was just enough and the right pairing for the brew! Two 16oz beers and the Quesadilla was $ 26. Thanks to Danielle, for her attentive service and recommendations! I may have been disappointed from the meeting but, there is certainly no disappointment from Riley’s!

My friends & I came for the different flavored endless mimosas on a Saturday & to my surprise it wasn’t busy. Didn’t have much choices for brunch to choose from & all seemed very boring. I ordered the breakfast burrito which was probably the best out of everything my friends ordered — the usual & the classic. The classic definitely seemed boring & bland(bacon, sausage, eggs that were overly cooked, & buttered toast) I could totally make that at home. The usual was a scramble that didn’t consist of any meat but bacon so my friends asked to had chicken & some type of other meat. As for the mimosas, there are 5 flavored to choose from & you could switch the flavor after you finish one. The 5 flavored were — orange, guava, pink grapefruit, cranberry, & mango. Everything tastes the same, but the guava & orange. You couldn’t actually taste the flavors which is what we came for. 2 stars for service, there were 3 different girls who helped serve us & they were nice. TIP: don’t ask for your cup to be filled at the top cause their excuse is that their manager will be «pissed» if they do.

Probably the best happy hour around long beach. The quality of food could be better but the prices are so cheap that I can’t complain. The Bbq chicken pizza was pretty decent. sliders came out kinda cold and dry. The fries that came with it are pretty good though. Reminds me of McDonald fries. I wanna try their wings and tacos next time which look yummy. Even though there were only 2 servers working, they were very attentive. The beer deals after 7pm on Tuesdays are really legit! $ 3 for premium beers like white horchata. $ 4 for black and blue cider. Both delicious. Parking street parking. You get to walk through nice houses with glass windows. Or meter parking is free after 7.

I am writing this review exclusively for the happy hour. My friends and I spent approximately $ 50 and were able to get easily enough food for 6 people. We got tri tip sliders, pulled pork sliders, spinach dip, shrimp pizza, nachos, and hot wings. Yes. We really did get all of that for three people. When we ordered, the server warned us that we were ordering a ridiculous amount of food. She did not lie. Ha! Although everything was good, there weren’t any real standouts except the shrimp pizza(which was AMAZING!). However, I would not recommend the tri tip sliders because the meat was a little tough, which was disappointing. Other than that, everything was very mediocre. OH, you can substitute tater tots for fries. Those were AMAZING and easily my favorite part of the meal. In short, great happy hour prices, but mediocre food. I would recommend to come here for happy hour, but probably not for full price.

Came here on a Sunday for brunch with my boyfriend and my Yorkie. Unfortunately, Riley’s doesn’t allow you to bring your dog to the patio area. They must remain outside. Since our pup is only 4.5 pounds, we weren’t comfortable leaving him on the sidewalk since there’s so much foot traffic on second street. My bf ended up having to walk home to drop off the dog. I sat down first. It took a while for someone to drop off the menus and ask me if I wanted water, but the waitress apologized for the wait. Soon enough my bf arrived and we ended up ordering the breakfast scramble and the breakfast burrito I asked to add avocado and a pancake and the waitress was really nice and accommodating! They also have a great brunch menu with delicious items like a breakfast panini or eggs Benedict, and classics like pancakes and bacon. All or most of the brunch items seem to be cheaper than the regular menu items. They also have bottomless mimosas until 1PM on Sundays. The mimosas have different flavors like pink grapefruit, mango, guava, etc. I didn’t try any because I’m really light weight and didn’t think id drink even one glass, but it sure looked yummy! The food arrived really quickly. My bf absolutely loved his scramble. There was meat in every bite and he ate 3 out of 4 pieces of his toast. I liked my breakfast burrito but the avocado didn’t show up until the very bottom of my burrito. The chorizo was also extremely salty and I had to tone it down with some ketchup. This place would have received five stars if my burrito wasn’t so darn salty, because the service is pretty great and the quality of food is swell as well. I’ll definitely have to come back for their lunch specials because those look like a delicious deal!
