This is my favorite go-to Mexican food stop. It’s quick, inexpensive, and tasty! The carnitas are my absolute favorite. Taquito is the only item that needs improvement. The chicken is a bit dry. If they could fix this item, they’d get a perfect score from me.

Great prices, great portions, and great flavors. An awesome casual Mexican food place to hit up during the week on lunch break. The last star is taken away because of the fact that their food can sometimes be very greasy and messy. Their salsa bar is awesome!

Rock solid. Nothing fancy. I’d describe it as really, really good fast food. The prices and ambience are pretty reflective of that. I’m giving it five stars for being exactly what it’s supposed to be. Good food, good service, fairly inexpensive, a little fast-foody.

Wanted to get something quick to eat and we saw this place and stopped there. We ordered the carne Asada and chicken tacos. They were good but had some Grisel which was disappointing. I think there are better options for tacos in la.

I got the steak taco plate which took about 15 minutes for them to make. The beef was very tough and full of gristle. The rice had no flavor and tasted like it had been made in a batch for a stadium of people and then wasn’t stirred well because it had hunks of it sticking together. The beans were bland and overall the food really wasn’t seasoned well. Good fresh chips which were the best part of the meal. I guess I’ve been spoiled by Eduardo’s on Westwood Boulevard. Quality of ingredients and care in preparation really makes a huge difference.

The secret to Mexican fast food is simple, great ingredients and freshly cooked. This is the mantra here where everything is always fresh and delicious! Many choices available and complimented by the Salsa bar full of fragrant and freshly made salsas. Kudos to everyone at Tacoplus for their great service and food.

Oh my gosh! We ordered a large number of different burritos for a school event to feed our volunteers. They were a huge hit! Not one left. One volunteer specifically asked for the restaurant’s name because the chicken burrito was so good. Fabulous, couldn’t be better — highest recommendation!

Taking my review down a star, because they didn’t give me all of my food! A couple of times a year, I will get breakfast from this place. Always the same thing: huevos Mexicana, spicy with black beans and potatoes. One time they forgot the black beans, which pissed me off. So this time, I check and there was no container of black beans. I guess I should have checked the box itself, because there were no hash browns! Of course I didn’t notice until I was at my office 15 minutes away. This is a great place to get fresh tacos, but seriously, it’s your job to make sure all of the food is in the bag, not mine! However, next time, I will double/triple check!

Worst burrito I’ve ever had, it had more beans than meat and the beans were old and dried. Worst excuse for a Mexican joint.

BEST kept secret on the WESTSIDE. Forget ALL other Mexican food restaurants. Ask for a water cup and fill with GREEN salsa.

Found hair on inside my burrito… Yuk The cashier had the nerve to blame me for it when I’m bald. Horrible

Not a bad taco spot if you’re starving and your blood sugar is going down. This place is across the street so I come here when I absolutely can’t wait to eat anymore. It’s not that the food itself is bad but it’s definitely not the cleanest and I always have toilet problems a couple of hours later. :) the salsa bar is awesome but just make sure you wash the jalapeños or peppers if you decide to take them home. I’m pretty sure they don’t wash them… take it from my experiences! ;) The carne asada tacos are better than the chicken ones. I also like their crunchy shell tacos better than the flour ones. Maybe it’s the gringo in me but I like crunchy things. Overall, not bad if you have a strong stomach. :)

The west side is rich in Mexican food choices, but Taco Plus takes the cake. They display their motto, «Fresh All the Time» above the entrance and boy do they mean it. This was my first time there and I had the pollo house burrito. Although it took a little long to come out, I was easily distracted with their salsa bar that included bonuses like limes, cilantro, green onions, jalapeños, and the usual staples of hot, verde, and pico de gallo. 5 for food. 5 for service. 5 for the short drive from my apartment. See y’all next time.

Tacos are authentic as you can get in this area. Good prices, friendly staff — can’t wait to try their breakfast either. Nice place to stop for a quick bite and some spicy salsa!

I’ve read some reviews about people saying that this isn’t authentic Mexican food, haha omg I just really want to know what you guys think authentic is. I mean have you tasted the salsa’s, STACKUPON ‘EM. They have fresh condiments(cilantro, onion, salsa’s, lemons etc.) for your plate. Super good spot for a quick meal and it can be kind of difficult to find a Mexican restaurant that offers some veggie options so that’s always a plus for me. They give you free chips with your order and they have an amaazing, salsa bar. The hottest one, is so good, kinda reminds me of a molcajete salsa flavor but I’m pretty sure they use a blender. I’m veggie but my friends always go for the carne asada plate and they really love it. Just because it’s located in a certain area or have affordable prices, doesn’t mean you won’t get good flavorful Mexican food.

I had Taco Plus today because I was starving and right next door at Starbucks. I ordered the simple bean, cheese and rice burrito. I stocked up on their salsas and some lime wedges. The total was $ 4.91, really good for the Westside. This is a Mexican place on the Westside so I wasn’t expecting it to be authentic or super delicious. Because I had no expectations, it wasn’t bad. The price also made up for its lack of authenticity. I would probably go back if I needed a quick bite and something cheap!

I love this place. The food is fresh; the service is fantastic. One of the best casual take out Mexican places. I usually get a burrito and it is very good size and super tasty. I have had nachos, which have hearty portions. The salsas are outstanding and it’s super easy to park in the lot. I eat Mexican food a lot– and feel this place is poquito mas 8 years ago– now that place is too chAiny. I would highly recommend a check out.

How freaking difficult is it to make the order correctly!!! The breakfast burrito has four freaking ingredients and yet it never comes home correct! BREAKFASTBURRITO $ 3.95 Eggs, home style hash browns, jack cheese topped with salsa and wrapped in a hot flour tortilla All I want is to not have the al dente hash browns removed and black beans to take its place. Sometimes the cheese gets missed or the egg… today it was the salsa. The order was imputed correctly yet the cook never ever gets any of my orders right… breakfast or dinner! My 9 year old can cook better. If I owned this place I’d fire that dude today! Oh and it was almost noon and they only had the green salsa in the cold table… right in time for the lunch crowd. FIRED!!! I can’t seem to quit this place. At least I can fix their food when I get home. *sigh*

I really want to give this place with a better rating, but I really can’t because of the lack of the quality of food. I’ve driven by this place so many times, on my way in and out of Starbucks, or getting groceries at Vons(an adjacent location). I ordered some food to go for dinner – 2 carne asada tacos, 1 carne asada burrito, and a tostada. Can’t remember how much I paid for the entire order, but in all honesty, I felt that the meat in both the tacos and burrito tasted super dry – there’s a lack of seasoning, and flavor. I had to put some Tapatio and pico de gallo just to add some flavor on my own. I’ve had a much better experience at other Mexican restaurants. If you’re looking for a much better tasting burrito, save your money, and head to either Chipotle, or Titos Tacos. It’s not only a much better deal, but much better tasting menu. Overall grade: C

A burrito split between two hungry beasts= best deal in town. $ 7.25 for Burrito Al Pastor to go please! Plus, any place that has paintings of/by Frida Kahlo gets an A+ by me. Clean, fast and filling, I’ll definitely be swinging by here again the near future!
