Wow! Loved the food and loved the place! The noise level is prefect! We took the WeHo burger, The Cheeseburger, and the Mac ‘n Cheese. Everything was great. We will Defiantly come back!

The food is ok, but be warned — they have hidden fees! The«buffalo chicken salad» is marked as $ 12 but if you want chicken, it’s an additional $ 5! And it really isn’t a $ 17 salad. Definitely not returning.

Gluten free and delicious! Everyone in my group ordered something different and we all loved our meals. We ordered the fried chicken, jeiger chicken, a few pastas and different flavors of the frozen custard for dessert. So amazing! The server was knowledgeable about the menu and food preparations. I will definitely come back again next time I’m in LA.

The restaurant is small with a small outside dining area so I’m glad we had reservations; I had dinner with family before a comedy show at the Improv. Parking can be a challenge but the Beverly Center mall is only a block away with a big garage. I had a gourmet burger and French onion soup and a glass of Sauvignon Blanc. All tasty. Service was attentive and professional. Definitely worth a visit!

IFYOUHAVE A WAITERWHOHASANUNCANNYRESEMBLANCETOTIMHEIDECKER… RUN, DON’T WALK, the fuck out the door. This isn’t my first time to this restaurant but it will most definitely be my LAST. I have never, truly NEVER, in my life had worse service than I had today. FASTENYOURSEATBELTSKIDS, this is gonna be a long ride. Now let me start by explaining my past experiences here. I have come here multiple times for lunch & dinner and service has always been a little slow. Everything here is made from scratch so that is completely understandable. The gentleman who has always waited on me is an older guy with long hair and blue eyes. He is great. Tim Heidecker’s evil twin on the other hand, is not. He is the worst server of all time. We got here at 2:30 on a Friday afternoon. There were 5 of us. We were the only party in the restaurant aside from 2 men eating alone who were finishing up when we arrived. Tim Hijacker seated us and then disappeared into the kitchen for 15 minutes. My coworker had to physically walk up to the open part of the kitchen and ask our waiter to take our drink order. He came out 5 minutes after asking… seriously. Not exaggerating. At this point, we are on our hour lunch break and realize that this guy has zero sense of urgency so we order our drinks, our food, and ask for the check to be brought out immediately. He writes none of this down. 15 minutes later with no drinks he comes over to ask for our order again because he couldn’t remember it… ok. I am annoyed so at this point I actually go outside to smoke a cigarette and when I come back there are STILLNODRINKS on the table. He comes out with the tray of drinks a few minutes later and DROPS them as he’s coming out of the kitchen. Accidents happen, fine. But then it takes him an additional 10 minutes to bring them over to our table. Of course, he has no clue which drinks belong to which people so we have to shuffle everything around. Not a big deal normally, but this guy has been a nightmare from the beginning. Let me add, he has not been apologetic whatsoever. We finally have our drinks 45 minutes after sitting down and my coworker very politely asks«when will the food be ready?» to which Tim Heineken replied«it’s coming out now.» The food did not come out and he disappears into the kitchen for another 15 minutes. You’ve got to be fucking kidding me. It has now been an hour and we are all late coming back from our lunch break. No food in sight. Also, the check was brought over as requested, but 2 entrees were missing. I should have let it be and not paid for them in this case, but I was worried we weren’t going to get our food so I called him over from the kitchen door and informed him of the missing entrees. He «fixes» it and charges us for 2 things we didn’t even order. So I have to tell him once again, to fix the fucking check. I feel like I’m in The Twilight Zone at this point 2 of my coworkers get frustrated and don’t want to be late, so 1 coworker gets up and goes to the open part of the kitchen to ask if she can just have her food to go and get the fuck out of there. Good old Tim tells her fine, but then comes out and once again tells us «it’s coming right now.» Then asks if we want all the food to go… what? My coworker is now livid and explains once again, which 2 entrees she would like wrapped up, and he disappears into the kitchen not to be seen for ANOTHER10MINUTES. My coworker is SO pissed at this point that she storms out of the restaurant and tells us to just bring her food back to work. A few minutes later he comes out with the food. My other coworker who wanted her food wrapped is still sitting there, so when he brings the rest of the food out, she’s like«where is the to go food?» He gets an ATTITUDE with her, and is like«well I’m bringing all the food out now I’m gonna grab yours in a second. I need to wrap it.» Dude… you were asked 15 minutes ago to wrap up this food because 2 people in our party DIDN’T WANTTOWAITANYMORE, and you bring out the food before you wrap up the to go order. How? He brings out the to go food and my coworker leaves with the bag, we now have 2 people who have literally STORMEDOUT of this meal because of how bad the service is. The remaining 3 troopers are stuck eating COLD food. You heard that right… after all this bullshit, the food wasn’t even fucking hot. In addition, I ordered a burger WITHOUT fries, my coworker ordered with fries. Of course, the fries were put on the wrong plate so we had to physically switch our burgers to opposite plates. We inhale our food and pay for the $ 85 check. I left him $ 2. It should have been $ 0 but I used to be a server and I felt too bad. I even wrote on the receipt«I normally leave 20% but I have never had worse service» just to clarify that I am not an asshole, and the tip was next to nothing because the service was deplorable. 2 stars because the other guy who works here is great, but I will never go back.

Don’t bother going here. I was going to see a show at Largo and was lazy. I should’ve have listened to all the previous reviews but I wanted to try the truffle burger. Stupid decision. The service seems much improved the previous reviews but the food is marginal and the prices too high. The burger tasted NOTHING like truffle. I asked about the gf bun up-charge mentioned in other review. The server said the burgers automatically come with the gf bun. That gave me the false security that I wouldn’t be charged extra. Not so. Another $ 1.50. I got the salad instead of fries and that was a $ 4 charge. It was spring mix and most of the lettuce was slimy and bad. I mentioned this to the server but wasn’t offered any kind of option and was charged the full price. When I got my burger, they didn’t serve me any condiments. It took a while for me to flag down a server to get some ketchup. When I got it, it didn’t last for the entire burger. I didn’t bother trying to get more. The server was pleasant when he got to my table but when I told him the burger didn’t taste like truffle at all, he again didn’t offer anything. Not sure if he passed my complaints to the manager or not. I wasn’t apologized to nor comp’d or discounted anything. I usually always tip over 20% no matter how bad my service or food. This time I chose to tip just under 15% because I felt the server should’ve at least apologized for the half rotten salad and the non-truffle tasting burger. I left a note on the check saying he was a good server but the food was marginal at best but not worth $ 40.00. I really felt ripped off. DONOTGOHEREUNLESSYOUENJOYMARGINALFOODANDHIGHPRICES.

First off, I want to say that the staff were wonderful. We were cheerfully greeted the moment we walked through the door and were immediately seated at what looked like the only open table. Service began almost as quick. While there seemed to be three different servers who shared the entire room each was pleasant and attentive. The food however was pure diner-grade. All of it. I ordered a hamburger medium rare, it came pretty close to well done. Like chewing on a piece of salty sawdust. The best part of it was the side salad, which was quite good. The chili mac & cheese was nothing more than sloppy joe mix poured over what could have been packaged mac & cheese with Velveeta. Finally, the meatballs in the appetizer were as hard a golf balls. Trying to cut into one with a fork was difficult without sending the ball flying off the plate and onto the floor where it could be come a tripping hazard. More meat and less breadcrumb, please. The prices seem to have gone up a bit from the menu shown here, though as they stapled the check to the merchant copy of the credit cart receipt(a clear expression of «No, you can’t have a copy of your check») I don’t have the exact numbers in front of me. Sorry folks, but this is a pet peeve of mine. I want to be able to recall what it was I had eaten last week or last month. Finally(and this is not a specific gripe towards Addiction Bistro), when did the new normal for a draft pint become $ 8? Seems like not too long ago it was 6-something pretty much everywhere. Now it’s $ 8 — everywhere.

I will admit this was almost a three star review because the service is just very off. Not saying that my waiter was rude, he was actually very polite and wore a smile on his face throughout our entire interaction. This restaurant just needs some serious organization. From being seated in a corner table with no utensils, being seemingly forgotten until my waiter acknowledged me(ten minutes later), reassuring me he would be with me «soon»(another ten minutes); the customer service experience is mediocre at best. Not sure if it’s the communication between the host, waiters, or back of house, but there is definitely a missing link between all three. That aside, the food is incredible! I ordered the Vegan Truffle Burger(for which I had to ask the menu to also, don’t know why it wasn’t initially prompted by the waiter). Either way, I ordered it and rarely, if ever, do I say this, because as much as I love Vegan Burgers, I know they are in a class of their own and would never compare them to their beef originator; but they did it right. What so many Vegan restaurants I have dined at only come a quarter of a mark or barely half way in achieving, The Addiction Bistro triumphs in; a beef tasting Vegan Burger. It tastes like«the real thing». This is the burger you trick your strictly«carnivorous» friends into eating. This is the burger that you resort to when you start to slip in your newly profound, Vegan lifestyle. This is the burger to unify the meat eating and Vegan worlds once and for all!!! Ok, so yes, it’s that impressively delicious and mind boggling. I’ll return sheerly to try all the other Vegan Burgers, forget the service. I’ll get it to go!(Just kidding.) Honestly, the service just needs a fixer up. Like I previously mentioned, the staff is nice, they just seem frazzled and confused more often than not. Another great aspect of this restaurant is it’s «home made» propaganda; which is actually a reality. From the ketchup, to the truffle aioli, to the vegan patty(I have never tasted such a flavor in a burger and have no clue what’s in it, besides deliciousness!); it was all phenomenal and lacking any trace of staleness or «processed» that makes for a «just ok» meal. I am in LOVE with this burger. I might just go in tomorrow to test out if one of the other options here rival it. Give it a try! You won’t be disappointed with the food. And as for the staff, have patience. They are nice people who I assume will pickup the pace soon enough. The food and smiling staff combined is worth giving The Addiction Bistro a chance. I’m addicted!

Sunday lunch was good. The waiter clothes need to be more clean and nails need to be clean as well. The kitchen chef should wash their hands after touching his nose. Restroom need a little touch up. Overall the food is ok and made from scratch. Need to make sure that salade dressing is not too salty. Hot dog was not done at right temperature, but still eatable. Waiter need to have proper hygiene smell like sweat. Ugh. Not too much to expect from this place.

This place used to be okay, but the last few times we went there it was not good. Last night we got seated and it took at least thirty minutes to get our food after we ordered. And the food we did get wasn’t very good. Service was absolutely terrible. We waited a half hour for food I’ve made better at home from recipes I’ve found on the internet. I liked this place better when it was a chili restaurant.

I have to give this place credit for having ambiance and a tasty sounding menu. The burger was the objective. Got the burger with bacon And an order of chili. Salt. Salt. Salt. Salt. WAYYYYTOOMUCHSALT. My god man. My tongue was tingling for 24 hours after this meal. The bacon topping they use is like chopped bacon bits instead of strips. Not exactly upscale in its appearance, or taste. The chili was extremely salty too. I had to try to block out the saltiness to taste the food. Service was sloow. They apologized for being short staffed and it looked like one waiter was handling everything. Not a good look. Water wasnt refilled until we were able to catch the frantic waiter to request more water. Not coming back because I didnt feel taken care of, and the food was way too salty. I may have said something if the wait for the food wasnt so long, but we were so hungry and going to a show next door, we didn’t feel like sending food back would fix anything.

We came here last minute in passing on the way to seeing Jon Brion next door. Someone in line before the show recommended this place. The place is small, classy but not pretentious and dark. Everything is handmade and fresh. My bestie and I just wanted to have a light bite before the show which I could tell threw our waiter off cause we weren’t high spenders but he eventually warmed up to us. We had a bacon spinach salad, French pressed coffee and root beer float. High but fair priced. Prompt service.

This was a regular spot for me when I lived right across the street. If you’re gluten free and/or vegan, I definitely recommend giving this place a shot, since every dish has a gluten free option, and there are many vegan choices too. Personally, I am neither of those, but still enjoy the food here. Their truffle fries are amazing, as is their boneless fried chicken plate. Their deserts, from the ice cream to Chef Johnny’s rotating selection of «dream pies,» are also wonderful. I rarely order dessert at restaurants, but I always had to get something to go at Addiction. The location is usually pretty quiet, which I like. The only exception is certain nights when there is a show at the Largo next door, it becomes packed. It is worth noting, however, that their dishes are nothing too elaborate considering their higher than average prices. You can expect to pay for every soft drink refill as well. Also, their service can be inconsistent. The owners of the restaurant definitely work hard and love what they do, always striving to serve, but I’m not sure about their discretion in hiring servers. Some are dedicated and courteous, and others don’t know when to quit talking. One in particular has been responsible for ruining several dates and family outings by not minding his business, not to mention messing up multiple orders and forgetting to bring out silverware. It isn’t a bar, not every patron wants to chat it up with you.

I’m addicted. I knew this place was special when I saw the owner of the restaurant chase down a patron on the street to give him a container of sour cream he’s left behind.(All of the condiments are homemade. Yassss) I was seated by the owner and he was delighted and informed us that the whole menu is gluten-free. You only have to specify for gluten-free pasta or bun. What a freeing experience! We ordered the friend gnocchi appetizer(crispy and delicious), the fried chicken plate(great flavor, sauce and the corn was delish), pork belly(yumm) and the blueberry crumble. We got crème brûlée ice cream instead of the vanilla, which was a great choice. Everything was fresh and soulful. Really great atmosphere. Delicious wine. As a celiac person, it’s an invaluable find and I can’t believe I didn’t know about it before. I’ll definitely be back. I am, after all, addicted.

I’m not one to write negative reviews but this was just not a pleasant experience. I seriously do not understand the hype with this place… small portions, subpar taste, and the horrible value made it a truly underwhelming experience. My wife and I came in hungry and left hungry… The fact I gave them any stars at all is because of the friendly staff. There are other options in the area, go elsewhere. You’ll thank me.

2.5−3 stars. This is the type of place where it started off at 5 stars and then gradually I became less and less impressed as the night went on. First of all, the décor/ambience is a little weird. Can’t put my finger on why. Reminds me of Top Chef when they have to do restaurant wars, and they just throw some random décor up there because they don’t have proper interior decorators. Our server was very nice and attentive. Would also check on us often but not excessively. The menu is ok. I think there is too much hype actually written on the menu… not everything can be famous! Huge props to making everything gluten free! Just to clarify… everything is offered gluten free and non-gluten free. So you still have to clarify which one you want when you order. I have to eat gluten free(Celiac) and loved all the options! I ordered the truffle bratwurst and a side of Mac and cheese. The bratwurst was good but nothing special… I also got a couple of boney/tendon bites which always grosses me out. The Mac and cheese was just ok. At first I thought it was great… and then by the end I felt guilty for eating it all because I decided it wasn’t actually that good. I’d rather have Kraft. So overall I left feeling mehhhh about my whole experience… probably won’t be back anytime soon. But it got 4 stars?! And it got fairly crowded by the time we left?! I dunno what these people see that I don’t see.

Everyone working there was really nice, but I was honestly disappointed with the food. our burgers tasted burned that night and the other foods like the Mac and cheese & dessert we ordered were just ok. we liked our drinks? My favorite place is now getting a 1 star. I drive across LA to this place often just for this place and now it’s time to halt. Came for Sunday brunch which(and it shows this clearly on the menu) is Sunday 1130am-2pm. We arrive excited to have the brunch menu and we are told(at 1245pm) that they stopped serving brunch already. When I asked, that’s strange… it clearly says it’s still brunch time… and the waiter stays quiet and says yeah sorry. Horrible business practice. I understand if there was an instance in which they couldn’t, but provide zero detail… and honestly just made him look like a dick. Good bye addiction.

1÷22÷16 Reported establishment to the Better Business Bureau. When Addiction Bistro responded to my complaint they proceeded to tell lies to cover up their wrongdoings. I encourage anyone who has had a similar experience to report them as well. ***update! Just checked my bank statement and they charged me $ 10 over the amount I signed off on!!! Luckily, I took a photo of my signed receipt when I was there since they were behaving so shady! I am filing a dispute against them with my bank and have already left a message for management. What an unethical establishment!!!*** If I could give zero stars, I would. Our server claimed that there was no drink list. He claimed it was«under construction,» which was rather suspicious. Myself and another member of our group asked for a house Riesling, which typically can be expected to cost $ 10 or less at other mid-range establishments. When we received our bill, we saw that we had been charged $ 17PERGLASS. Our most expensive entrée was only $ 12, so comparably, a $ 17 glass for a typical house wine is practically extortion. We looked up the particular brand of wine that had been served to us, and saw it was only $ 30 a bottle. In addition, as we were trying to make sense of our exorbitant bill, we saw another party that was offered a drink list. So our paltry wine pouring should have cost much less. We politely complained to the management and the most we were compensated was a pathetic $ 10. Our server returned, unrepentant, to give us our slightly-revised bill. Additionally, during the course of our meal our server«accidentally» brought an extra beer for someone who hadn’t ordered it, and it had to be sent back. It also seemed very suspicious. Surely if we had not immediately sent it back, it would have ended up on our bill as well. To boot: the bathroom is tucked behind the kitchen and you need to walk past a host of slack-jawed cooks and busboys in order to find the feces-smeared ladies’ toilet. I will never return to this embarrassment of an establishment.

Went to the Addiction Bistro recently after reading all these Unilocal reviews, and I was really impressed! My mom is gluten-free and she was so excited to find that pretty much everything there was served gluten-free. We started off with meatballs, buffalo wings, and truffle fries for appetizers. The meatballs were delicious! The truffle fries didn’t taste exactly like truffle fries(more like fries with some parmesan on top), and unfortunately the buffalo wings were very undercooked. But, the kind chef brought us out a new plate of wings and apologized for the undercooked wings. We really appreciated that! For dinner I had the Pesto Gnocchi. It was pretty good! I was very full at the end. Overall everything tastes VERY home-made and everyone at the table was stuffed with yummy food. We finished off the night with the blueberry crumble, which was warm and delicious as well! Waiters were extremely kind and helpful, so two thumbs up for exceptional service. The ambience is great too, I would recommend coming here!

If I would have written this review the first time we went it would have only been 3 stars because the service was a little rough. They may seat you right away, but getting to you for drinks, takes a while. The first visit it took a long while :(. And the waiter missed a few things in our order. Went again last night because I really wanted to try their nachos. Most vegan places make their nachos with a weird sauce which I hate, but not here. They actually use the shredded cheese and when I had their chili cheese fries, I was in heaven so I knew I had to try the nachos next time. Everything I’ve had or tried here has always been very good. I had the weho burger with the vegan cheese, but the waiter must have forgot to tell them to put the vegan cheese and he brought me some later, but I would have rather have had it melted in my burger. The chili cheese fries are delicious! The nachos were also very good and I highly recommend adding the jalapeño relish! The bf had the pork belly and that was REALLY good too. The pork belly was tender and flavorful. The purple rice was not my thing as it was sweet, but it paired well with the pork belly. The reason I decided to give them 5 stars is because the food is very good and John is fantastic. He was a pleasure to talk to and his service was on point. He really made our experience great and everyone who works there are so nice. I really look forward to coming back again and trying their pasta!

Summary: for the non gluten free this place is great. For everyone else: OK, not great, not worth your time. Service: friendly and fast, no problems particularly except the waiter touching one of us on the shoulder where it wasn’t warrented but it didn’t come off as intentional. Décor: interesting and rather nice, very red, felt inviting. Detail: What we had: At the table we had the gnocchi appetizer, the pesto gnocchi main, the peanut salad, and the pasta rabiata. Gnocchi appetizer: the deep fried gnocchi was good but the sauce was OK but rather bland. OK not great, $ 11. Pesto gnocchi: less food than the app, VERY pesto almost no cheese, I wasn’t the biggest fan but a vegetation likely would have liked it better, $ 14. Peanut salad: it tasted literally like peanut butter if you want lettuce flavored with peanut butter have at it but none of us were really into it, $ 5.(Half order) Pasta riabata: similar flavored sause to the gnocchi app but definitely NOT spicy as the menu said and also rather bland. «Thick looking but thinnly flavored marinara.» Was very accurate, $ 15. A great find if you are gluten free but not worth your time otherwise.

It’s been a loooooong time since I’ve been to Addiction Bistro and even though I’ve only been here once before, A LOT has changed. The casual atmosphere has been upgraded. I no longer order at the counter with the fedora-wearing hipster cashier but now receive table service with the long-sleeved button-down dressy shirt-wearing waiter. There used to be a refrigerated case in the dining area where you can purchase food items to take home. That has since been removed and replaced by extra tables and chairs. While I don’t exactly remember what was on the menu before, one thing caught my eye on the vegan menu: Truffle Burger One bite and I was in love! The patty had a tasty truffle flavor without being too overpowering. Extra ingredients were kept minimal with a bit of caramelized onions and just a single leaf of lettuce. I appreciate the simplicity. It allowed me to really savor the flavor of the truffle oil. No need for the ketchup or mustard that came on the side. I even ate the pickle slices on its own because I didn’t think the flavors would mesh well in the burger. It’s supposed to come with a truffle aioli which the waiter verified as vegan but I didn’t seem to see/taste it in the burger. Maybe the aioli is not vegan after all? Another complaint is that this $ 13 burger ran a bit small in size and it doesn’t even include a side. I was definitely still hungry after our meal here and it usually doesn’t take much to fill me up. However, considering the delicious flavor, it’s worth trying at least once. I might order this again in a «treat yo self» kinda day or when I’m feeling extra pretentious ;P Buffalo Fries look basic upon first looks but WOW does it have a bit of kick! They’re good, just not sure if they’re $ 6.50 good. Overall, good food with vegan options. In all honesty, if the food wasn’t so tasty, I’d probably give this place 3-stars for the small portions and high prices. It definitely prevents me from coming back soon but it’s nice to know that this place exists.

Gluten-free everything. That’s right, everything. Fried chicken, waffles, bread, pasta, DESSERTS. This is so gluten friendly they sometimes forget the basics when it comes to table service, but that’s ok. The Celiac crowd is just thankful to be able to order GF breaded chicken that doesn’t taste like cardboard. The service is well-meaning, enthusiastic, and very friendly, but just a step above counter service. Beer and wine is available, and if you must have gluten you can still get regular pasta and bread by request ONLY. Now who feels like a weirdo while ordering in a restaurant?!

Their thing is everything, from sausage to hot dog to burgers to ketchup are made from scratch! Their truffle bratwurst was freaking good… their fries was amazing, each one is crunchy and tasty… French onion soup was little salty and very full tasting… the Mac and cheese with chili was good but again very heavy and filling and rich in flavor. Suzie Q’s Fun Facts: Addiction is a state characterized by compulsive engagement in rewarding stimuli, despite adverse consequences. =≅≅≅≅≅≅≅≅≅≅≅~ I’m of two minds about Addiction Bistro. Here’s what I love: — They have both carnivore-centric and totally vegan menus(on behalf of the vegan members of my party). — Their truly addictive house-made dill pickles. — They were willing to serve me a hot dog without a bun, and still accompanied it with a tiny little pile of whole-grain mustard(like a «deconstructed» hot dog, Top Chef-style). — This feels like a mom-and-pop shop, without any semblance of polish or pretention, complete with old-style gramophone and oil painting of a peacock(random, but cool). — They split most of our checks(with a large party). I do NOT necessarily love: — That they charged us $ 3 for each truly tiny paper cuplet of dill pickle slices, as delish as they were(most restaurants will serve pickles for free); — That they originally mis-charged us for someone else’s pancakes; — That there’s no parking lot; — That they charged me $ 2 extra, along with my hot dog entrée, for a «side salad» that was essentially a tiny pile of garnish(tip: Don’t brag«only $ 2 more!» if you’re not really offering a good deal). Ultimately, the positives probably outweigh the negatives… but I won’t necessarily go out of my way to return. Not with a whole host of other great options closer to me.

I really wanted to like this place because the reviews were so great and the chef and waiter were really nice. But overall it was pretty meh. They tout that everything is homemade but it all kind of tasted like something I could have made at home myself. It just wasn’t that great overall. Plus the atmosphere was pretty dark and dead and the waiter was pretty overbearing and kept trying to push menu items and courses on us when we clearly weren’t interested. I have to echo another reviewer who claimed that most of these reviews are probably fake. :(

Beware of upselling. Really got the feeling they are on shaky financial ground. Waiter balked at producing a wine list. Instead he suggested 2 wines without saying the price per glass. We trusted that he had not chosen inordinately priced wine. Big mistake. When the bill came, the wine was $ 20 per glass. You may disagree, but once wine is more than $ 14 a glass, I feel the customer should be told. We finally saw a wine list when he was trying to get us to order more drinks, and the wines were closer to $ 14 per glass. I told him I didn’t want to order another drink, and he kept pushing. We expressed our disappointment in not being shown a wine list when we asked for one. The waiter did nothing about it. Also, we ordered a ½ lb burger. No way that burger was anywhere near ½ a lb. Won’t be back. Will warn friends off it.

Had dinner with family before a comedy show at the Improv. The restaurant is small with a small outside dining area so I’m glad we had reservations. Parking can be a challenge but the Beverly Center mall is only a block away with a big garage. I had a gourmet burger and French onion soup and a glass of Sauvignon Blanc. All tasty. Service was attentive and professional. Definitely worth a visit!

Wow! The perfect meal! If I’m ever in the neighborhood, Addiction Bistro is my go-to joint for delicious comfort food. Get the truffle sausage(they make their own) and fries. The condiments are also made from scratch. These little details make all the difference. Wonderful IPA on tap, they even gave me a free one because of an over-pour. I’ll take it! It’s a great place to go alone and chill out(nice and quiet for lunch) also a nice date place if you’re down for something casual, especially if you’re catching a show at Largo. The service is fantastic, I’ll be back! Get a seat near the window because the people watching is awesome. Model, actor, hobo, actress, crackhead, movie star, wino, hipster, tourist, wannabe starlet… all on parade on La Cienega, nexus of the universe.

I had been super excited to visit here based on all the reviews and drool inducing pictures, but wasn’t to happy with my recent lunch visit. It’s a Sunday, so maybe the focus was on the brunch fare, but our lunch items were more on the«meh» side. Their famous peanut salad was mixed greens with peanut sauce — no extra veggies or even peanuts to add some zing and make it special. Burgers were good but didn’t seem to live up to the pictures posted on Unilocal.Fries while tasty certainly weren’t hand cut, but I’m thinking that might be because the focus again was on brunch. Adding on $ 2 for fries with your burger seems a little odd too. Service was also lacking. We had to wait a long time just to get water and there was an unfortunate incident with some iced tea(after taking a swig we quickly realized the chemical taste was NOT something that was meant to be ingested!) it was an odd experience and not much was said about the beverage mishap. I like the idea of making everything from scratch and having such a hearty menu — I just won’t be rushing back or recommending this spot.

We got seated right away upon arrival. Very friendly service and cozy intimate atmosphere. Sadly food Is below average, which made me wonder if I had ordered the wrong kind of food here. Ordered chili mac n cheese which tasted similar to microwave mac n cheese from the box. Fried chicken with mashed potatoes with corn which was very salty and dry. Very disappointed after seeing so many positive review on Unilocal.Street parking only which can be a nightmare so better to do valet if you can.

Went back to The Addiction Bistro last Friday 9÷18÷2015 with a party of 7 to give my friend and coworker a proper sendoff after her last day at work. I’ve boasted to everyone that this place had the best burgers I’ve ever had. Plus we had a Vegan in our party, which cancelled out many of the restaurant choices. And since The Addiction has a full Vegan menu, it was GAMEON! As usual, Chef Johnny and company hooked us up!!! I went out side my comfort zone that night and ordered the pork belly instead of a burger. I was not disappointed! In fact, everyone in our party was impressed with their selections. From their wine and beer selections, to the salad, to their pasta, burgers, vegan fare, and even their coffee and desserts — everything was wonderful. The service and quality of the food are consistently great. This was my third time there, and it won’t be my last.

Being gluten-free for the past 4 years, I’ve been hard-pressed to find any decent offerings from restaurants… until now. A close friend searched for Gluten-free options in LA and we chose Addiction Bistro. Now, my «comfort food» weakness is fried chicken and they knocked it out of the park ! Yes, I desire gluten-free menu items, but not at the expense of quality and taste; Addiction Bistro delivered both! For dessert we enjoyed their homemade S’mores Pie, homemade Caramel Sea Salt ice cream, and Blue berry Crumble which was topped with«Death by Vanilla» ice cream. We will be returning

Gluten free everything? Not even– the fine print on the backside of the menu, when you squint, clearly says that there’s an extra charge for gluten free pasta and buns. What the hell, that’s crappy to advertise and then obscure the fact that you charge extra… Very German influenced, home made everything. That unfortunately meant so-so bratwurst(not quite enough fat to be flavorful), a pretty good hamburger that was a bit weird with bacon bits instead of actual bacon strips, very decent french fries, and a blueberry crumble that was excellent. Fried chicken appetizer wasn’t quite juicy and flavorful enough to actually be authentic, but it was okay– the meatballs were marginally better. Pork belly is great if you like the style, I personally found it overly sweet– but again that’s a style preference. And the side salad for the burger was clearly from a bag, and drowned in ranch. Street parking is next to non-existent, so be prepared to pay $ 5 for the valet next door. The grammophone and very dark interior only contributed to the cliché feel.
