I’ve been training at Gracie Barra Mansfield since October 2014 and have nothing bad to say about it. The training is excellent and the atmosphere is very welcoming. Master Young, as well as the other instructors are very attentive and encouraging. The students are extremely nice and help you improve. I had no experience in martial arts prior to GB Mansfield and was a little intimidated when I started. But no one is intimidating whatsoever. Everyone is very gracious, polite, and encouraging. If you or someone you know is interested in learning the art of jiu-jitsu, I’d look no further than GB Mansfield. I assure you won’t be disappointed.

I’m glad i decide to put my daughter in jiu jitsu, because since she been in the classes, she has open up more and she shows so much potential. I am so amaze how she is determined to want to go to class and train. She never want to miss a class lol. This was the best thing i could have done for her and I’m glad I did it. All the instructors are extremely nice they make you feel like they been knowing you all there lives. And how all the kids act towards each other is super amazing I love it.

My husband has been attending this Jiu-Jitsu academy for over a year; I joined two months ago. Professor Young is patient and emphasizes safety and team building; perfect for a family looking to stay active or, as in our case, a couple looking to stay in shape together while learning useful skills. This is definitely a family friendly environment and women can feel safe and empowered learning to defend themselves while working out! Gender separate dressing rooms, clean restrooms and facilities; staff is super friendly. Kids classes are adorable; adult training in the evenings crosses all knowledge levels — beginners can feel safe and pros can get challenged.

I visited this Gym and met the owner, Instructor Young. The Gym is clean. they have state of the art mats as opposed to carpet so no carpet burn. I think Gyms that have Carpet usually smell like a locker room since the carpet can absorb everyone’s sweat. I also liked that they have A/C. He has pictures of his history on the wall and he gladly shared information with me about his training and career history. I recommend this Gym to any of my friends in the Arlington, Mansfield and Mid Cities area. I believe his trainer was Machado so that’s a plus too.
