This is my favorite breakfast place to eat. They make great omelets for a very fair price. I like to get tomatoes in place of fried potatoes simply because I can’t eat all that. My coffee cup never runs dry. I guess the biggest draw back is crowds willing to wait for their food. I can’t hold that against them. Also the parking lot is full and I park in the grass field they own out back so take your pickup truck. I tried their lunch and it is great also. I go anytime my diet allows.

This place is constantly packed at brunch and there’s definitely a reason — when you get your food, its quick, fresh, and yummy! Don’t go expecting some fancy schmancy brunch dishes plated for eye appeal. This food is for your belly and your belly will be oh so pleased. They have the good old brunch classics like omelettes, French toast, eggs, and hash browns. I would recommend the French toast. It has all super fresh fruit on top and the French toast actually had flavor — unlike ihop or Cracker Barrel French toast. If you’re looking for an omelette, I’d also highly recommend the chorizo omelette. Out of all the omelettes we tried, this was by far the best omelette we had. Only upsetting part of the meal was the Texas waffle because it wasn’t so special, sooo maybe opt for some other side option if you have the choice. Like the fried corn nuggets — those were scrumptious! Otherwise, it’s a cheap brunch place for the amount of food you get!

I mean… Eh. I got the Texas breakfast or whatever with the biscuits, with a chicken fried steak, eggs, hash browns on top and gravy. The gravy was super bland. If it was supposed to be the pepper gravy or sausage gravy it was missing any flavor at all. I had to put pepper, salt, and chalula to have any flavor. Same for the chicken fried steak… Very bland and tough. Cute place. Needs to redo their menus because they are all torn etc(the restaurant manager in me squirms when there are bad menus). Pies looked absolutely amazing! If I came here again I would probably just get 6 pies. I would come back and order something different. I’m sure another place has this same dish that actually has flavor. Not sure why people wait in line for this place but nothing a few tweaks couldn’t fix!

They have the best breakfasts EVER! The chicken fried steak omelet had me totally speechless. Perfectly put together with cheese and black pepper gravy on top served with biscuits and gravy and grits. My friend had a different omelet but loved it just as much. I wish I lived closer to visit more often. Unfortunately I live about 800 miles away :) Go there– you won’t regret it!

My friend REALLY hyped this place up. He always suggests it whenever we want to go get brunch, but it never happened. I finally stopped by with my sister since we were running errands in the area. It was packed! The wait was 30 minutes. Longer than I expected, but we stuck around cause I wanted to see what the hype was about. The service was fantastic, but besides that, meh. I ordered the pork chops with eggs, hashbrown, and pancakes. I also got a bite of my sister’s sausage and ham. Everything was a tad bit too salty. My pork chops were overcooked(very dry), and the pancakes were something I could get at iHop. The portions were generous, but I always prefer quality over quantity. The only reason why I’m giving this place 3 stars is the pie! We got the coconut meringue pie, and yuuuuum. Not too sweet, but just enough to satisfy your sweet tooth. I loved it so much! Final verdict? Only come here for their pies. You can get the other stuff at a Cracker Barrel or iHop.

Let me start by saying if you go at the wrong time you will wait a while for a seat. But I promise you, it’s worth the wait!!! The portions are huge. The food is wonderful. I tried this place a few years back & now have many friends addicted. The waitstaff is always kind and makes you feel comfortable. Get here early on the weekends for breakfast & miss the lines

This place was packed! I was told that this is always the case & I can see why. Their Stuffed Cinnamon Bun French Toast(by far) HAS to be a popular pick. Cinnamon French Toast stacked & stuffed with cream cheese & topped with bananas, strawberries & blueberries. No need for syrup. The cream cheese is very sweet but the tartness from the fruit balances it out. It can fill you up enough not to have sides like bacon, sausage, etc.

Amazing food and friendly staff. This is my absolute favorite spot for breakfast. I only tried lunch food once, and it was okay. I will stick to breakfast from here on out. I highly recommend the chicken fried steak omelet. I have also been partial to pancakes with bananas inside and peanut butter on top lately as well.

At this place for the first time on Friday. Met a collegue for lunch to go for work related items. Had the salmon breakfast with egg whites, grits, and grilled wheat toast. The fish was season perfectly for breakfast not too overpowering but light, as that is what I was going for. Sober all the food was good with the exception of the toast that was overcooked. They had a huge variety of desserts that I decided not to tamper with due to my diet. I wish I had though. I wanted to try all the cookies the key lime pie, the lemon cake and the red velvet. I will definitely go back to try some other things. Customer service was great.

When I first went this was great food. The pancake this time was burned. It did not taste good. It was too dry. The hash browns were watery/oily and desperately needed seasoning. I am disappointed as I like this place but the food quality is deteriorating so badly that I am probably going to try other places next time.

What can I say the food was fantastic and the portions large ! My hubby and I asked for a to box. Angel our waitress was great she kept our coffee full and seemed to enjoy what she does. We had no room for dessert but did take two slices of pie to go. One cherry the other buttermilk. Next time I want the blueberry!

Great place to eat home style food. I have always had a great server . Only open for breakfast and lunch and the wait sometimes can be a little long but the food is worth it.

Disappointing. After 20 minutes waiting, staring longingly into a display case of pastries and pies, watching massive plates of various combinations of biscuits, gravy, hash browns, pancakes, waffles, and other Southern favorites zip by on their way to someone else’s table, my mouth was watering, and my tastebuds tingling in anticipation. Once we got a seat at a table, the reality of this experience set in. The coffee was incredibly bad. I like my coffee black, but I had to doctor this stuff up with sugar and copious amounts of cream. Those biscuits… Bricks! The sausage was devoid of ANY flavor. Seriously? How is that possible? The hash browns were almost burned on one side, but absolute mush on the other… Also missing the flavor you might expect, like potato… or maybe salt and pepper. I can’t believe we got charged for such a bland and unimpressive experience. If this reminds you of Momma’s home cooking, your momma wasn’t a very good cook. I’m not even the slightest bit inclined to give them a second chance.

Love this place! Wanted to go to Mimi’s for a big weekend breakfast but saw the Unilocal reviews of this place and thought it might be worth a try. Beware– the wait can be very long and the waiting area is small. I know many people would leave if they had to wait 40 minutes for breakfast but trust me it’s a good idea. The servers make you feel like family. The portion sizes are unnecessarily large but hey it’s Texas and I guess these guys know their audience. Everything we had was great. Fluffy pancakes, hot coffee that was constantly refilled, crispy potatoes, cheesy eggs… What’s not to love?! If you’re thinking of trying something other than the usual doughnut or chain breakfast place, check these guys out. You won’t be disappointed.

I love supporting family owned restaurants! Our Place is great if you are wanting good breakfast food and top notch service! With that being said, the super long wait is not worth it though. I usually stop by during non peak hours or go inside to check if there’s a wait. If there is, I move on. The food is good, but I am most impressed with the service. Your coffee cup never goes empty because the waitresses are constantly checking up on you. Notice, I said waitresses. You do have one who will take your order, but the wait staff is amazing and several people ask how you’re doing and help with service as well. 5 stars to the staff for sure!!! The food is good, but not spectacular. Like I said, definitely stop by if there’s no wait. The downside is that their are flies constantly swarming … Which surprises me because we are inside. It truly is distracting and a deal breaker for me. It’s sad when you have good food in front of you, but when flies rest on your coffee mug or on your hash browns, you seriously can lose your appetite … Or your arms just get tired of swatting the buggers away while trying to carry on a conversation and eat your meal … Fire the flies!!!

Lovely little mom and pop spot. I have only ever been here to eat breakfast, but they have lunch and dinner as well. If all the food is the quality of the breakfast then don’t hesitate to try it. I stumbled upon this spot shortly before they opened– just thinking how nice the addition of a legit homestyle restaurant would be to the growimg chain spots in the area. The building is new, so its beautiful. Dark woods, sand colored stone and Texas décor inside make it warm and cozy for sipping coffee in the morning. They have remodeled since the opened– got rid of a patio and inclosed it for more seating, and also widened the waiting area. It gets packed very quick, especially on the weekends so be prepared to wait. I have always had great service here– mostly the same sweet, southern ladies are bouncing around the place juggling food and coffee. The coffee is great, truely it is. I also love that they make everything from scratch. The biscuits and rolls are always thick and fluffy– ask for the honey butter– your welcome. The pancakes and omelettes are huge– share if you can. I just love how I feel like I’m getting a homemade breakfast full of love without having to dirty my kitchen. They have this huge pie case right next to the front door and cash register full of cream pies, cakes and random sweets. It just sits there all cocky, staring you down while you eat your veggie omelet, saying«Have some pie, you deserve it». I’ve lost the battle many times and taken slices home to eat in shame on the sofa. I would suggest you do the same. I promise to try dinner here soon and update this so I can report back my Unilocalers.
