My shoulder hurts but I’m ok with it and want to do it again! Spent a few hours shooting sporting clays today and I LOVED it. I have shot before hand guns, rifles, and short barrel shotguns but I’ve never shot a long barrel shotgun. Going in I knew I would be doing 100 rounds and all I could think about was how my shoulder was going to hurt after. The main building is open but still manages to feel cozy. There is a bar(for after shooting beers) with two beers on tap and they also server food. When you sign in you are assigned a guide to help make the most of your experience. The other half brought his gun but like I said I was worried about the recoil. Our guide Ty brought out a few options for me and I went with a semi-automatic as well as 1oz ammo to help with the recoil. There are several courses here and you can choose what stations you want to shoot based off your skill level. Ty would show me the clays first make a suggestion on when and where to shoot and then stand behind me watch me shoot and give me advice after every clay. It helped so much. I ended up with 36 out of 100 which for my first time out I don’t think is too bad. I can’t wait to go back.

Ah, the sound of shotguns on a rainy day. 4 of us went shooting for the day. 2 of us had previously fired a shotgun and 2 were shooting virgins. We went out with a guide who drove us around on a golf cart to different shooting areas. You get the full experience here with 12 gauge or 20 gauge gun. We purchase 25 rounds each which turned out to be a nice amount of time shooting. Instructor/guide was very good. Yell, «pull» and the neon orange disc launches into the air for you to shoot. Fun time. $ 100 for 25 rounds per person. Don’t miss the huge elk on the property and stop into the main house for a beer after all the fun.

Such a fantastic time shooting sporting clays for the first time. This place was in a beautiful outdoor environment and would be great for experienced and inexperienced people alike. Clyde was professional, patient and made the day fun for everyone.

In the Laurel Highlands, a sportsmen’s paradise for sporting clays, fishing center, with Archery and air rifle range. Fun event for family and to teach the novice or for shooters of all abilities. Staff was great and helped to teach novices in our group. They younger novices did better than expected. Fun day for all.
