I think I just picked the wrong dishes. My friends all got amazing steampots, but I got the Maine grill. I didn’t get a lot of flavor on the grilled lobster, but the remaining skewers were great. I then followed it up with the turtle brownie dessert. Everything was good, except for the nuts. They were stale and would have ruined the dessert if I did not pick them out of the dessert. If I do go again, I am getting a steampot and the key lime pie. It looked heug!

Ok service, consistent quality. I would love to give more stars but I live on the Gulf of Mexico/Mobile Bay and there is a difference between fresh and chain. Joe’s is better than average ‘chain’.

I travel A LOT for work. Mostly to Memphis and Nashville. I’m always trying to find new and different places that I don’t have at home.(St. Louis). I do, however have a Joes Crab Shack at home but I’ve never been. I opted for this today because I was craving salmon. I must say the cedar plank salmon is FABULOUS. It was cooked to perfection and I chose rice and broccoli as a side instead. I try to save my extra calories for pinto grigio or titos vodka. :) The food was excellent. Took a little longer than I would normally think as I always dine alone. But I did visit on a Wednesday when they have all you can eat snow crab legs… Since I always dine alone, I sit at the bar. It took 6 minutes, yes I counted… To be greeted. I asked for a vodka gimlet and I got the deer in headlights look. Okay. Pinot it is. My food came. I just finished eating and still no… «How is everything». It won’t hinder the possibility of my return but it’s something to note.

We had the crab dip appetizer and it was perfect! Creamy and lots of crab on warm chips, yummy! My husband and I shared the crab leg bucket that had shrimp, sausage, potatoes, and corn. Lovely presentation! So much food that we couldn’t eat it all. Our waitress was one of the best ever!

I would have to recommend this restaurant to anyone who would like sea food. They have magnificent crab legs, but their best, most delicious item that justifies their menu is their crawfish. It has a spicy and crabby flavor, seasoned taste occurs… but this restaurant would not be complete without their to die for service. But let’s not forget the gift shop. Five Stars.

We had dinner at Joe’s last week, and I was pleasantly surprised at the overall dining experience. We had a couple of cocktails, and split the Classic Steampot for 2. It was plenty of food, the crab legs were cooked perfect. They put like a garlic butter on them after they cook them — yes it’s on the outside of the legs, but, as you crack them open, you get in on your fingers and it has a fantastic taste to it. The shrimp, sausages, and potatoes were also cooked perfectly. Our waitress, Michella, was superb. Thanks for the enjoyable evening Joe’s!

Joe’s Crab Shack will always be one of my favorite places to eat seafood. I love getting their steam pots and it seems like their fried seafood dinners has drastically improved. The only reason that I give this restaurant in Bartlett, TN3 Stars is because I feel it insulting for a waiter to highlight the amount that should be given on a tip. Call me crazy, but I typically leave a generous tip, even when I feel that the service was not the best. The service at Joe’s in Bartlett was excellent, and for me, when your service is excellent, there is no need to insult the customer’s intelligence by highlighting a tip amount. In fact, it may cause a customer to reduce the amount of money that he/she was going to leave you on a tip. It also makes the customer wonder if this is the practice of the waiter for all customers, or does the waiter highlight the tip amount on the bill only when certain customers come to the restaurant. Do some customers look like big tippers? Did I look like a customer who does not tip well? I’m just saying. I will go back, but please spare me the highlight on my bill because it’s very insulting.

Atrocious costumer service… Creating an atmosphere so uncomfortable starvation wouldn’t suffice as a reason to stay.

Not a huge fan of Joes, however it is so close to the house we come here often for the Bar. The service is always good, bathrooms are clean. I am just not a fan of how the food is prepared. Not much on the menu appeals to me. However if you are into this type of menu, this place is fine.

What is going on at Joes? I remember when Joes was the coolest place to eat. The atmosphere sucks, the décor is no longer«shackish» and the waitresses are less than enthusiastic, and the food is lousy. I had the classic steam pot. I don’t know what kind of seasoning that was on it but it was horrible, all I could taste was the seasoning.

The food selection is so good and such a fun atmosphere that it is a shame the service is so hit and miss. The crab pots are my absolute favorite and also the crab dip. If it is nice weather, I love to be able to sit outside!

Much better than it was previously. I think they have new management and staff as this visit far exceeded our visit from a couple of years ago. Staff was very friendly and attentive. They messed up our double dip order and the manager came over unsolicited and both owned up to their mistake, apologized, and took it off of our bill! The food was as good as can be expected for a seafood chain. We are fans again!!!

This was a great place to just relax and eat good seafood. Our waiter Westley was the best, yes he took time out and explain the items on the menu to my wife. The Food was good and our waiter Westley was on point. We will be returning and yes we will ask for Westley.

This Joes is not as good as the others i have been to. The staff was inadequate. The food was alright. I go to restaurants because of service and food and failed on both accounts. The lobster was overcooked and so was the shrimp and crawfish. It may have been because it was a weekday late lunch but that shouldn’t be a excuse. I would still eat at joes but not this location.

This was my 1st time at this one.. I ordered a shark attack & there was no alcohol in it. It tasted like flavored water. & my food was very bland no seasoning at all. the only reason I’m giving 2 stars is because the staff was very friendly.

Joe’s has long been a favorite for a taste of the coast! Granted its a chain, but I’ve never had a bad time. The steamer pots are awesome for a date night, especially if you split one and get an app. The atmosphere is noises, but that’s part of the excitement! Wait staff is always great! We stay at the Hyatt and have a few Cat5 drinks :)

My dad and I came all the way from little rock, AR to eat here since it is a fam all time fav restaurant. When we first got there our waitress forgot about us but than the manager came and apologized. He offered us a free dinner and gave us an outstanding service! He was super friendly and attentive, no wonder he is the manager. Plus the food was delicious like always! We left happily and will definitely return.

It’s hit or miss here and the last 3 times they missed service is good and since most of the food is prepackaged I can only blame it on the person preparing the food… Probably won’t give em another shot 3 stroked your out

Drink menu was sticky and needed to be cleaned. It seemed like I was interrupting the help to make them bring me food and refills. Unfortunately I travel to the area a lot and this is the easiest place to walk to for supper. Next time I’ll put more effort into planning another restaurant.

Hit or miss is definitely the best way to describe this. At least any time recently I’ve not had bad service, quite the opposite. The service is always great. But it’s the food that can either be amazing or just meh at best. Their crab dip is always great and never disappoints. The steampots are good if you’re willing to splurge a little bit as they can be a bit pricy. For just one person it isn’t bad but if you have a bunch of people in your party, it really adds up. The other entrées I’ve tried though are subpar. Their fish is rather bland, the scallops are so small that by the time the batter crisps, the scallop is rubber. Also, their crab cakes are too spicy. Also, the atmosphere in here just sucks. If it’s busy and/or if there’s kids there, it’s just too loud. If it’s dead, it’s so quiet, but in a bad way.
