Best new restaurant. Amazing staff and service and great Mediterranean food. The lamb ribs and the octopus are out of this world. As well as the shrimp. Definitely try the brusselsprouts which are really good. Any of the flatbreads are a must. Ambiance and design are so warm and inviting

My friend and I were in Miami for 5 nights and we ate dinner here twice. This is Mediterranean food like I’ve never seen it before! Everything tasted so fresh and was perfectly balanced and seasoned. Standouts were the house labneh and barbari bread, the jeweled saffron rice, the creamed spinach pide(one of my favorite things, ever), shrimp tangine with halloumi, and the saffron ice cream. The Gulab(rosewater) cocktail was also delicious. The servers were also really helpful and friendly. We felt like we were being well looked after and it’s very cozy inside. Once in awhile you have a meal that really blows your mind and you talk about what you’re eating throughout the entire meal. Both of our dinner experiences were just like that. Perfection!

Wow this restaurant is fantastic. My first time in a Eastern Med restaurant. I loved the rice. We had so much rice but we couldn’t stop ordering more and more rice. So many types. I highly recommend trying the Labneh which is phenomenal. Also the baklava ice cream, oh… And did I mention the rice. Vibes are awesome, great for a date, and fun music. Check out the funky chandeliers in the top room, and the service is great. The owners know what they are doing. Good job.

Stop what you’re doing. Go her immediately. Eat everything. Thank me later. Great, light dinner with family and friends. You MUST try the fluke, and also the pomegranate sorbet.

Thinking back on this place brings a smile to my face but maybe not in a good way. This place just felt so disorganized. The food was really good — I wish we had room to try more dishes. If I rated this for food alone, I would give it 5 starts. It started when we first sat down. They only gave us one menu. They did finally bring another menu but dropped it off at the table next to us which was already eating. Then they started to deliver food to our table even though we hadn’t ordered. I guess they and changed a 4-top to two 2-top tables(that is hard to say) so the wait staff got all screwed up on the table numbers. All night the food went to the wrong tables. It got to the point where we all just accepted the food and handed it to the correct table. Our waiter was very good and kept swooping in to fix the problem. He said he talked to the staff over and over and they couldn’t get it right. I bet in a couple months, they will figure all this stuff out. The place is beautiful and food was great so it was worth the hassle. Plus we got to meet all of our neighbors!

Verrrrry disappointing — tea barely had any alcohol. Had to ask the waiter if it did have any. Food came out so fast. Portions were ok but not great. The duck kibbeh was the only thing I would recommend. Other than that it’s overpriced for what you’re actually getting

This place is soooo beautiful outside and inside! Went for my birthday dinner with family. We were a party of 7 and decided to order different plates to share, since that’s how their menu works anyways. Everything was good but the lamb shoulder didn’t have much flavor and it was the most expensive dish $ 80. Also I expected the fig salad to be more flavorful, I didn’t taste the figs at all. Tasted like a regular green salad. My favorites were the lamb ribs, duck kibbeh and rose ice cream. About the staff: The hostess wasn’t very friendly but our server was superb, great upbeat attitude and came around often to explain each dish and check our water levels. Overall, would come back just for the atmosphere and some of my favorites plus maybe new dishes :)

Byblos gets major points for having a beautiful, amazingly decorated space, delicious drinks and super friendly waiters and bartenders. The food was also good — interesting and in some cases really delicious. They lose points for poor scheduling on the day we went(they were an hour behind on their reservations) and the hostesses definitely need more training on how to handle busy days. Also, they lose points because many of the dishes we had were sooo close to being amazing but just missed the mark. I have to preface that we’re vegetarians so maybe the meat dishes were stronger than what we had. We ordered: Turkish Manti Dumplings — dumplings filled with a smokey eggplant and topped with a creamy yogurt sauce. This was one of the dishes that was SO close to being amazing. The dumplings were great but the sauce was really sweet — if they just made the sauce a little more savory and balanced, this dish would have been perfect. Roasted red beet — a few roasted beats served on the house made labneh. This was just ok — the beets were roasted nicely but the labneh was again really sweet. I’ve never had sweet labneh so I almost wonder if the chef mixed the salt for sugar. Maitake mushroom pide — delicious dough stuffed with maitake mushrooms, chile and goat cheese. This was delicious and a must order. Black truffle rice — The white truffles on this were really nice but the rice was dry. This is definitely a dish you should skip. Roasted Brussel sporuts — the flavor profile was nice but the Brussel sprouts tasted more boiled than roasted(like the weird boil your mom would get when she made brussel sprouts when you were a kid). There were no crispy pieces you get when you roast. Many other reviewers loved this dish so maybe we just had too high of expectations. Overall we had a nice experience at Byblos but I don’t think we’ll be back.

This place was a complete surprise from the moment I called to the moment I left… Called yesterday to make a reservation for 11… Their policy is to hold a CC for 25 $ PP just in case of a cancelation… This was sort of ok, they did however specify that their policy also stated that parties of 7 or more was a special menu… Some kind of directed menu by the chef where he would accomodate types of food for the guests… This would have a charge of 75 $ per person without taxes, service or drinks… So, my question was… Have to reserve woth a non-refundable deposit and go blind to a place where you have no idea what you are going to eat? Already have an amount paid without knowing anything? Well… I took the chance… Arrived sharp on time and our table was ready but had to wait for 20 minutes for another table to settle in… The hostess were both quite nice… We were then going to our table on the second floor… To our surprise, the elevator was out of service… I was with my mom who cannot climb stairs very well… But… We managed…(Did hope she did not want to use the ladies room as it was on the first floor)… I was told by a guest that today service was horrible… Food was great, but service awful… This is what I was told before sitting down… Well, what a surprise for us!!! Alex… Yes Alex… Repeat… Alex was great. He made the difference some food, stairs did not! First, he opened a bottle of Champagne(we brought … Corkage is 25 $), then we did get to know what this system was all about… He did not mention this special menu… Just recommended several starters, several entrees… For starters, the duck kibe were ok, just ok… The eggplant kibe… These were very good… Fried but good. Tomato salad with feta, missing feta all over… A small bread, quite nice, dont recall the name… Then the flat breads, these were quite nice. Then entrees… The ribeye was very well cooked rare… Congrats… The lamb was also tasty and tender… Good for those too… The fluke… This I might avoid… then the sides fries ok, sprouts, ok… Persian Rice ok… Maybe less and rice with lentils, ok,… As for dessert, chef, thought these would be better… All in all, this place has nice ambiance, service by Alex made the diff between rating this good or not!!! The place did not have the fixed menu, it is pricey. This place is clean, restrooms have L’occitane soap and hey did have several serving plates that were chipped…(Shame on you!!) Enjoy…

Went Saturday night, ordered: lamb ribs it was good but didn’t come out hot — small appetizer portion with 4 ribs Manti dumplings — delish sauce and flavorful Couscous — unimpressed at all, tasted like regular couscous with some cheese in it, wouldn’t recommend Pizzele — MUST with baklava ice cream which is insane Mediterranean cuisine is usually portions that are meant to be shared just about everywhere I’ve went — everything here was tiny. Overall I wouldn’t go back but the dessert was nice

Can’t say enough good things about this restaurant. From the moment we walked in the service was outstanding. We were seated upstairs however they do have a small downstairs with a bar and a small outside area as well. The décor is beyond beautiful, calming white and blues. For food we started with the Turkish dumplings, fig salad. Both dishes were delicate and were portioned perfectly for two people. We continued with the Majadra rice which has fried shallots, lentils and labneh and paired it with lamb ribs. Delicious is not even the word for those dishes. It was exquisite. All of the flavors in each dish make for an unforgettable dinner. We finished with a baklava ice cream dessert. Tips: valet is $ 15(no atm in the hotel), they will hold your reservation for 15 minutes only

Yum! Delicious dinner in a homey atmosphere. You really feel as though you are having dinner in a friend’s living room. This is a small plates restaurant, which was wonderful, because it gave us the opportunity to try so many wonderful dishes. Added bonus, there were very many vegetarian options for my pescetarian mother. –Turkish Manti Dumplings(V) — tiny little fluffy, crispy dumplings with lovely cream sauce –Black Truffle Pide(V) — a pizza met a flatbread, had a love child, which died and went to heaven. Not for the faint of heart with a strong truffle flavor, but out of this world for those who love truffles –Gulf Shrimp Guvec — I don’t really remember this dish, and to be honest, I think maybe my family ate them all and didn’t leave me any, which must have meant it was good. –Colorado Lamb Chops — perfectly tender, juicy, and not remotely gamey. Gobbled up by my dad, who normally hates lamb –Crispy Hand Rolled Couscous — with collards and halloumi buried underneath. Once again, gobbled up by my dad, who normally hates couscous –Loukoumades — like a crispy, doughy, honey donut hole with ice cream. delicious –Crispy qatayef — like a dessert empanada smothered, again, in honey Everything was really delicious and the service was fabulous. I would definitely be a regular here if I lived nearby! Valet parking is $ 15 at the hotel, so if you must drive, do try to find street parking, but if possible try to walk over or take a «shared ride!»

I went to Byblos to celebrate a friends birthday and it was wonderful! We were a party of 9, so when we made reservations, we were told for parties larger than 7 people there is a pre-fix menu. We arrived right on time and our table was ready. The atmosphere is Mediterranean meets South beach, and I loved it. The staff was incredibly attentive from the second we arrived. Our menus were waiting for us as we sat, so we got to review all the dishes we would be trying. Our waited asked about any allergies they should be aware of, and answered all questions. The food was brought out family style, starting with the appetizers. We had tuna ceviche, the house labneh, and lamb ribs. They also brought out a variation of the fig salad. Next we had the prime rib, sea bass, and lamb chops accompanied by the Persian fried rice and seared cauliflower. For dessert, we tried the chocolate mousse. EVERYTHING was delicious! Every time a course came out, our waiter explained which dishes were prepared for the guests with allergies, putting those guests at ease. The only thing I wasn’t blown away by was the gulab. It was just too flowery for me, though It’s just personal taste. I highly recommend this place and hope I’ll get to visit again very soon.

My amazing fiancé chose this place and it was one of the best meals we have had in years! Our service was outstanding and there is only a $ 25 corkage fee if you bring in your own wine. Sadly, our Barolo that our friend brought was corked so we ended up buying three bottles of wine… oh well! Décor — smart and colorful and I fell in love with the handpainted plates from Tunisia on the wall. More to drink and I may have tried to buy some of them. Eastern Mediterranean food at its best in the Shorecrest building. Wish I could remember our server’s name on Sunday evening; he was fantastic, witty and knew the menu — so refreshing since so many servers aren’t educated in what they serve. Of course we had time for dessert. two of them. Don’t miss the Pizzelle /Baklava Ice Cream. I know I could never work here because I couldn’t pronounce the dishes! Sad because I have Middle Eastern blood too! Make sure you go to Byblos. You will love it.

Amazing! I have to tip my hat off to Cassie for recommending such a place. My honey KC and I were scouting out for the last restaurant to top off our Miami Spice ‘craventures’ of the month and what a height this pedestal had reached. We took heavy consideration to the forewarned entrees and little to no surprise our menu choices were pretty much identical, but then again you can’t really go wrong with any of these tasteful dishes. We stuck to the Miami Spice menu which was more than enough to feed for two, but somehow you’ll find yourself continuously eating. We had a choice of 3 mezze, 1 main with a side, and dessert per person. A couple mezze highlights for us were the lamb ribs, steak tartare, salmon kibbeh nayeh, and crispy squid. There were no reminiscence of the duck kibbeh and fig salad so I guess you can say they’re all winners. For our main we went for the wagyu flatiron steak and roasted snapper with sides being the sweet jeweled rice and roasted Brussels sprouts. The steak had all the components I favor in a savory dish: buttery and creamy(my first time having moutabel). Okay, never had I enjoyed rice this much til this night. It was so good that I had it with every meal I could after taking it home with it being distinctly sweet and subtle floral. They were also really generous with the portion with that being a MS menu. Apart from our last minute change for our dessert order we had the yogurt mousse and the pizzelle instead of the chocolate mousse after over looking our neighboring table. KC ecstatically lit up after realizing how the pizzelle looks like a ice cream filled macaron. I couldn’t decide which was better but the yogurt mousse was not in my typical taste spectrum with it being twice as floral and tarty. There seems to be a common trend here since we had the Gulab cocktail to pair up our bites. As redundant as my review progresses, we loved it with all of its floral eminence. We sat on the upper level where the Egyptian décor flourished twice as much as the main level and the service was spot on. Definitely a place worth coming back to.

What an amazing and magical night my friend and I experienced at Byblos. It’s one of the most exotic and elegant dining rooms in South Beach and the food is incredible. We chose to have a selection of small plates. The lamb ribs were delicious as were the roasted beets served with a thick yogurt sauce. The Jeweled Rice was something I had never had and of Persian descent. The Steak Tartar melted in your mouth. Besides the food and the corps of waiters and bus boys falling all over us the management was charming and friendly as well. It was so well run and the food was so delicious that I am certain they will be with us for a long time. At least that is my hope. For a truly exotic and romantic evening make a reservation there.

Simply perfect! I’ve been her twice and the second time was to take my mom for her birthday. So you can already imagine how much we enjoyed this place. The service is wonderful and the venue is so beautifully decorated, with both an upstairs lounge area and the upstairs dining. It’s a must see type of place. Regarding the food, there was not a single menu item that I tried and did not like. The Black Truffle Pide is to dieeee for! The whole grilled Branzino was delicious and enough for 2. The mejadra is a MUSTHAVE from their menu. I also loved their yogurt and chocolate Mousses!

Byblos has been on my restaurant to-do list for quite a while! There has been such a big hype, and let me tell you, it was not a let down. The décor inside is absolutely gorgeous, both the first and second floors. You truly get a feeling of being in the Middle East and part of an exotic getaway. I went on a Monday night for Miami spice. At first it was low key and there weren’t many other guests in the restaurant, which isn’t necessarily a bad thing. As the night went on, the tables definitely filled up. Miami spice gives you the option of 5 different courses. Three appetizers, one main dish and a dessert. Here are my recommendations: Noteworthy appetizers include the salmon tartar, steak tartar, Fig salad, and eggplant. My favorites of those were the salmon tartar and Fig salad. All the appetizers were exceptional, but those stood out the most for me. We also tried the squid and lamb. The lamb portion was too small for me to have a preference towards, and I typically don’t like squid but all you taste is the fried part with this dish. For my main dish I got the steak waygu. So good!!! Got it cooked medium, and it was perfection. To accompany the steak we had the bejeweled saffron rice and Brussel sprouts. The rice was the MVP of the night! I grew up part of an Armenian family and frequently ate various versions of saffron rice, but this one was beyond my expectations. So full of flavor and had just the right amount of sweet versus salty. The portion size was also huge. We shared this Miami spice side(which typically should be a smaller portion) between two people and we still had plenty of leftovers for another two portions worth. This side dish was very nostalgic for me, but putting that side I still think it’s a dish worthy traveling to the restaurant to get. Lastly, for dessert you must get the pizzelle ice cream sandwich with salted caramel and infused baklava ice cream! Very unique and such a tasty treat to end the night. Great food. Great experience. Great service. Overall, 5 thumbs up!

Listen up! Miami Spice ends this week. If you are looking to fit one last meal in, I’d definitely recommend Byblos. Even if you can’t make it there until after Spice is over, it’s worth the trip. The Spice menu was a great experience that gave us the chance to try a little bit of everything. That being said, we’ll definitely be back. For starters, standouts for me were the crispy squid, steak tartar, duck kibbeh and fig salad; however, the roasted beets, salmon tartar, eggplant kibbeh, and lamb ribs were delightful. Honestly, you can’t go wrong. For my main course, I opted for the wagyu steak which was cooked perfectly atop creamed moutabel. What really stole the show? The sweet jeweled rice. Honestly, I could have ate the entire pot by myself and been a happy camper. Our other sides of Brussels sprouts and green beans were really good, as well. Of course, we ended on a sweet note and I’m really torn about which dessert was my favorite. The yogurt mousse was the lightest and most floral option. It was unique and I really liked it. The chocolate mousse was also pretty good and the pizelle will win the heart of any ice cream lover. They have an array of tempting cocktails. I opted for the Gulab which was awesome. Others have lauded the service, and for good reason. Our server Julio was welcoming and quick to provide recommendations. The place was buzzing even on a Sunday night and I hope that it continues on!
