I order the chicken parmesan and the baked ziti and for delivery and both arrived looking great and piping hot but the smell of rotten cheese was horrible. I will not be ordering nor visiting this place again. There is nothing like the Original Mario the Baker in North Miami and W Dixie Hwy!

You can always count on Mario. The service is always really fast, which makes the food fresh. They have great pizza and subs.

Too expensive and the quality of the food is not that good either. The only convenient thing was the parking lot.

This place is in a good central location, the prices affordable with great lunch specials, & staff super nice. But… the food kinda wasn’t very good at all. I don’t know how you can even make Italian food without any flavor, even when spiced up with all the offered toppings: parmesan, garlic salt, oregano, and pepper flakes — it tasted like nothing. Mario needs to learn to bake.

The food here is flavorless and bland. I had the worst ravioli’s ever. So bad that I ate two and threw away the rest. They had absolutely no salt or flavor. I will never eat here again.

Cheap specials, with formulas for dinner chicken wings large pizza and a pitcher of beer, if you do not want to cook and want something inexpensive and quick that’s perfect… Do not expect exceptional pizza… But just regular ordinary affordable food with fast service.

The first time I came here I ordered pizza slices for lunch with my husband and we both were not impressed in any way at all. Bland tasting sauce and pizza. is all I can say! So I decided to try it again months later to see if it had changed. I ordered a Caesar salad and 2 slices of pizza to be delivered to my home. When I got it, it was the greasiest & nastiest pizza I had ever seen. I complained and they did absolutely nothing for me, they told me to pass by tomorrow. In conclusion this place has the worst pizza ever!

My friends and I decided to have dinner at Mario the Baker after hearing some good things about it. We were under the impression that they closed at 11:00 and showed up at around 10:00. We walked in to a friendly greeting followed by «we close at 10:00 but come on in» I felt bad because everyone knows nothing is worse than those last minute customers that end up making you stay late. I hate those types of customers and hate being one myself. The girl insisted we stay and so we did and were seated immediately. The menu is simple and cheap. We ordered the lasagna, chicken cesar sandwich, penne pasta and cannelloni. We also ordered a cannoli for dessert and even though I am not a fan of cannolis, I tried theirs and it was freshly made and yummy. All in all, Mario the Baker is a great place for cheap Italian food. The food and service was great. They have great specials and the staff is über, yes I said it, über friendly. MTB is the 3 B’s…bueno bonito & barrato(read my review on CPK if you don’t get it) ;o)

We ordered from Mario The Baker on Friday night, as we were ready to spend a night in watching movies. Beatrice on the phone was very patient as we made up our minds with what we wanted, and maintained a very nice tone. We ordered the Baker Special pizza — which I believe has, peppers, mushrooms, sausage, and a bunch of other things that went really well together. We were told the pizza would be delivered within 45 minutes(as most other pizza places), but it took a little longer. We were busy so we didn’t care as much, but by the time it arrived, it was already cold. The 2lt coke we ordered was cold — so that was good. We also ordered a canoli for dessert; I had never tried a canoli before, and thought this one was really good — though Em said it was cold, and it’s better when ordered and eaten immediately. Nevertheless it was good. Pizza good, phone service good, canoli good, coke cold. I think it can be derived that our Friday night stay-in dinner was A-OK!

Mario the Baker has one thing going for it. It doesn’t aspire to be ‘New York Style,’ Yes, I’m an overbearing elitist from the Bronx when it comes to pizza, and there’s no quicker way to draw my ire than to make claims that besmirch the image of my childhood tradition. I don’t approach those places with the belief that my understanding of Great Pizza will be somehow diminished, but rather that someone without the chance to try a real slice will think that they’ve tasted what NYC has to offer, and that it isn’t that great. Actually, MtB has another thing going for it: it’s reasonably priced. 12 bucks for a pie with pepperoni and a distracting proliferation of mushrooms, $ 3 for a half-dozen greasy, greasy garlic rolls(the server had never heard of Garlic Knots), and a couple bucks for soft drinks(wine and beer available). It’s a roundabout discount, though, because two people don’t really need a whole pie, even if it’s a good deal. Is there better out there? Probably. Have I found it? Nope. Will I keep looking? I wouldn’t be a very good pizza-elitist if I settled for blasé, would I?

Cheap and delish spaghetti and meatballs — you gotta love that. Whenever, I want a quick Italian fix, I head over to good ol’ faithful Mario the Baker. Sure the garlic rolls could use a little more garlic and parm cheese, but the pizza is always piping hot, gooey and yummy. The prices here are amazingly low and like I said earlier, the meatballs rock.
