I walked into Subway a minute or two after parking and ordered my sandwich. The food and service was fine but when I came out later my car was gone. It had been towed away right out of the lot. When I got my car back the tow receipt says with was towed 5 minute before I had even paid for the my food. So less than ten minutes after parking and five minutes before I even handed over my credit card to pay, they were already towing my car. What kind of business runs like that? Truly unprofessional and clearly I’m not the first person this has happened to.

Poorly managed. Kinda upsetting to watch the person in front of me get red carpet treatment with a loaded up sub(turned out to be their buddy). Then my sub I ask for extra pickles and get 5 tiny pieces on a foot long. Asked for more, but only put on 2 more slices. They do not seem friendly to lighter skinned people.

Usually a good subway, but recently hasn’t been all that great. Have been ignored, couldn’t hear anyone talking, and subs are off. By off I mean the person ahead of you gets double meat for the exact same sub and length for an example. Have been slow and have been overcharging for subs also.

Fun fact: there are are more Subway locations in the world than there are Mcdonalds(NPR). I was pretty shocked by this as I try my hardest to avoid eating here because the bread is so weak. I judge a sandwich by its bread and Subway fails every time. I don’t know if its because the mixed aroma of multiple flavors of bread are ruining my appetite for this place or if I am just way too picky — but I rarely choose to eat here. Today, I came here to give their flatizza a chance — I saw a lot of ads for them when I was in San Fran so I figured, why not? I ordered the spicy italian flatizza and I must say, I was pleasantly surprised. The flat bread they toasted was nice crisp on the outside and still chewy on the inside and the sauce they used was pretty flavorful. Maybe I enjoyed this because it reminded me of those pizza lunchables I used to eat as a little kid. They were pretty fast at this location and patient when I couldn’t decide what kind of veggies to put on my flatizza. After taking my sweet time order, I noticed a pretty big line behind me so I hurried out the door. Overall, I was impressed by the flatizza which is why I am giving this particular location 3 stars today. If it were just the sandwiches, I would give it a 2 — I’ve been to this one before and they over do it on the mayo — even if you tell them light. As a side note, this is one of the few places in Dinkytown with a free parking lot so take advantage of it.

The manager of this store asked Corky’s Tow to keep a careful eye on the parking lot, and so many cars are towed out of the lot. We met someone who was parked 3 minutes, and they were towed, even though they were coming back for pizza! Our taxi driver said it’s a racket, and the tow company has people watching the lot.

This Subway is a hot spot in Dinkytown for all the UMN athletes, but don’t let a few 6’7350-pound linemen scare you away. I stop by here 1 – 2 times a week for their surprisingly cheap/good breakfast sandwiches(if you’re going to the McDonalds down the block for breakfast sandwiches, you’re doing it wrong). The staff is helpful and make a pretty good sandwich. I will say that it would be advantageous of you to know some Spanish when interacting with them, but if you don’t know what ‘Hola’ means you’ll still be fine. It is a big Subway that is always clean. I had to place/pick-up an order of 75 different sandwiches for a visiting track team once and they got basically everything correct. That’s no small feat!

This Subway has the best furnishings I’ve seen for a Subway. But they play crummy 70s rock music way too loud, to the point I now avoid this place.
