One and a half stars. Credit cards accepted, friendly service. I’m rating on food and not growing pains, of which there are many. Napkin provision, menu passing, fulfillment of toppings requested, glove-less food handling, overall workflow inefficiency between the two fellas. The inexperience is still being worked through at less than a week of @LATacoTruck being in business. Smoky chipotle sauce made more of an impression than the chili verde, medium heat more accurate on the former. Chili con queso on the runny side, packing a little more heat than the green sauce. Prepackaged tortilla chips. Beans are refried, corn tortillas barely griddled. Beef is ground, and not as appetizing as the chicken, which is equally unseasoned. Cheese is the only addition NOT put on the side for the burritos, which I find baffling in general. Build a salad on the side out of my fillings? Depending on who takes your order, they may or may not consider lettuce/cheese/tomato as standard options which don’t count towards the«3 free before you pay extra.» The meats need to improve drastically for me to return. I think I’d be less disappointed if the name referenced Taco Bell. Any cantina in Los Angeles would be offended by this food.
