This is our go to place on our way home from Roger Wheeler State Beach(aka Sand Hill Cove). Nothing hits the spot after a hot day on the beach more than ice cream or(my fav) sorbet. It is also very helpful when trying to bribe your child to leave. The ice cream here is good. Lots of flavors inc sherbert/sorbet/yogurt/frozen pudding, etc… anything that your sweet tooth desires. But one of the main reasons I keep coming back, besides the obvious yummyness… is the warm customer service. The nicest people work here!

I love the teenagers and their summer jobs… Our conversation just went like this Q: Is your soft serve ice cream or frozen yogurt? A: Well it’s like ice cream but softer. The ice cream is still delicious, however they need to practice dipping their sauce in the chocolate and cherry dip and they need stronger spoons. All I know is that there’s so much hard dip at the bottom of this cherry dip gone wrong. Overall we are having a great time!

School gets out around June 20th, yet this place still has weeds growing all over it well into July and then opens sometime around July 10th + and then closes down literally just after labor day. It opens later and later each year and It’s literally open for like a month and 2 weeks and it takes them a week to get all the flavors once they’re open… What I don’t get is, it’s almost like this place doesn’t want to make money. People want ice cream in June and they also want it well after labor day. Seems they don’t care about the locals, just care about the random tourism we have each year coming in and out of adventure land and beaches when the weather gets decent. I say if the person who owns it can’t run it cause of whatever reasons, then get someone in there who cares about the place and who wants to make money and can run it for you or run it til you can get there or just level it and shut it down for good cause what’s the point? The ice cream is good, it’s just an unnecessary tease that its offered for like 6 weeks out of the year when Brickly’s is still killing it like a mile away… actually 5 weeks if you count the 1st week when they only have like 4 flavors and they’re out of 2…
