Lisa’s Filipino Cuisine

Every time i crave for Filipino food and lazy to cook my own, i come here. I particularly love their Pork Sisig and it’s my favorite with my usual white rice bowl haha. People here are ok, and that includes the service. They have huge portions here so always get yourself ready for some take out. Today i ordered four cuisines for hubby tomorrow and hopefully he likes it. I got him munggo, bistek tagalog, sisig, and something with squid. This is a good place to try out some Filipino cooking.

The food is the best price and quality of filipino cusine in the Bay Plaza shopping district. Nice place, filipino television programming (very entertaining) (;, but the service can be a little better.

The best sig sig I have ever had. Always on point. Really good selection of other items. Lumpias are really good as well

If you want average filipino food and WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE then you found the right place! The food is ok but I was in the area and wanted to give them another try that’s why I came back for the second time this morning. But after receiving a horrible customer service AGAIN, I’m not coming back at this «not fancy restaurant» according to the rude lady. All I wanted was a clean food container and they gave me an attitude. Are you kidding me? The fact that they are rolling their eyes because they couldn’t give me a clean container just imagine what happens in the kitchen! Lazy and dirty staff means unclean food! Good thing my sister wasn’t with me or she will shut this place down! There are so many good Filipino resto in National City, just stay away from this place and save yourself a nice day!

The sisig was really good. It was our first time here visiting from VA and I must say they have the best sisig I have tasted in a while compared to other Filipino places I’ve been. The dinakdakan was okay. I wasn’t too impressed. Good portions, though. The bathroom definitely needs cleaning. Didn’t have soap and was just filthy.

My family and I have been going to Lisa’s for many years. This place is one of my parents favorite place to go to for local Filipino food. I rate this place 2 stars because its really a hit or miss on the quality of food and cleanliness when i come here. Its not always exactly busy so sometimes it should be a little cleaner on down times.
You do get what you pay for because it is known for being affordable and somewhat fresh food. However, Lisa’s is very inconsistent so depending what time of day you go will depend how fresh the food is and what choices they offer.
For those of you don’t know most Filipino food independent places don’t usually serve the same thing all the time. They have a few staple items but its not all the time you will find something you like. So i can’t really recommend anything good because like i said, its a hit or miss on what they’re serving or whats available on a daily basis,

I’ve been a loyal Customer to this establishment since it opened in Eastlake /​Chula Vista.
The new Owner is the The WORST kind you will ever meet. (She is the one serving the customers behind the counter) in my numerous visits, every time you ask a question about the Menu or ask for a condiment; she would quickly roll her eyes and give you a freakin’ bad attitude. This is not how you treat your Customers New Owner !!!
If you want to continue to stay in business and retain your Customers you should re evaluate yourself and take a lesson from your competitors. You have to understand that YOU are not the only Filipino restaurant in Chula Vista.
The Lisa’s Restaurant in National City is the total opposite !!! — the whole Staff and Owner are very Polite. Courteous and Respectful !!! And the Food and Menu is a lot Better :))) it’s worth my 15 miles drive to satisfy my cravings for Pinoy Food !!!

Got adobo and longanisa to go. Longanisa was good, but the adobo was the worst I’ve ever had. ! Yuck!

May 2. Food was good but the customer service was complete bs. You had 4 foh staff and yet it still took so long to get people’s food to them? Either, you people need to train your current employees better or do a complete overhaul on your foh staff! It was ridiculous. I ordered food for a certain time but it was already cold when I got there because of your incompetent foh staff. No, no. That’s NOT how that works. What a complete joke for customer service! I bet you they are family or family friend’s because no way in hell would a real manager let that happen. I will never leave a tip for them after this but due to one dish that is cooked by the boh, I will return but not as frequent.

They serve portion generously but my dining experience was not that great. I would come here to buy to go food but not dine in here. Love the foods though

Lisa’s is good but the problem is they are not like Tita’s how they put the food inside the container Lisa’s are not good enough not like Tita’s if you buy there you gonna say #Wow and shake your head cuz they put a lot that’s the big difference of Lisa’s and Tita’s. In Lisa’s you feel like in Pinas like sidewalk #Karinderya cuz they don’t served like Titas overflow your container. That’s why people love to buy there they want customer satisfied the foods what they order.

Great food! Been living in National City all my life & i know Filipino food. This is GOOD Filipino food. The service is extremely friendly.
only thing I didn’t like was the Kare Kare. They use tripe in addition to ox tail. I would prefer only ox tail.
everything else is excellent!

I gave this place a 1 star in the past just because the salesgirl with glasses was unbelievably rude. But I haven’t seen her there in a while. Everyone else is nice so I thought I’ll bring my stars up to 3 (for now). The place is a bit cleaner also. My favorite is dinakdakan and I was disappointed the last time I went because it didn’t taste the same. The last one tasted bad and it was all fat! I have no reason to come here anymore.

Food is good and they have lots of selection. The only thing that I dont like is the long waiting and their restroom is not that clean.

food is good and tasty, most of the servers are nice. BUT. heres the catch. only one person who served us made the whole experience shift down… waaaaaay down. If you are hungry, youll probably be in a bad mood because if your servers name is ‘Lane’ watch out for her attitude problem! i was still ordering and looking around and Lane was rushing me by the second saying «excuse me? next»? what a rude woman, even my wife called her out about her customer service, we didnt even have a long line since it was only 10:40 am. yet she rushes us like it was rush hour?

I ordered talapia and rice and I got a big bug that looked like worm with a bunch of little legs inside! NEVER AGAIN! This place is gross!!!

If you’re down for some greasy grub, this place is it! I had pancit, sinigang, langonista, and lumpia. All items fit the ‘fast food’ mold. Lumpia could be better.

First of all, how in the heck do they have a grade «A» in the window? a grade «A» Restaurant is top of the line, The County of San Diego needs to do a food inspection in this location. But wait look closely and it actually is expired!!!
The food is not kept at the proper temperature, and it seems to be over cooked all the time!!! Its cold, tastes nasty and not to mention I got food poising from this place!!!
Employees use the same tongs for chicken, beef and fish. THAT’S CALLED CROSS CONTAMINATION!!!
Employees that work there don’t understand/​speak ENGLISH and the ones that do you can’t even understand what they say. the only words are «Yes, No, OK» This is ridiculous. I understand that its just like any other Restaurant (Mexican, Chinese. etc.) and its expected to happen but for god sake put people that understand the Language!!!
I drove from the alley (back side of the restaurant) and there were about 3 guys smoking in the back (that’s cool no problem), but when I went to the restaurant (inside to eat) I saw two of the guys returning and went straight to the grill, didn’t even wash their hands, and that’s when I decided to leave!
If I can give them Negative Stars I would give this location as many as I CAN!!! its the worse place to eat… and no Ive actually given them a chance and returned again and nope! same thing…
