Best brunch location on Earth. Period. Seriously, everybody in the world dreams of having brunch on Central Park. And if the restaurant is a Pain Quotidien, then it makes the experience even better. I’ve been there every time I visited New York. Everything is worth trying, but I keep a special memory of the hot chocolate, the Belgian Waffles, the muffins, pastries, freshly squeezed orange juice… Grab a table outdoor and enjoy how beautiful can life be.

The best atmosphere in Central Park. Great portions, good selection. Can’t go wrong with anything on the menu.

From out of state and stopped here after walking through Central Park. Great environment with a beautiful view. I personally got the chicken mozzarella sandwich, it was very delicious with plenty of flavor. My brother just said, «that’s probably the best waffle he ever had» talking about the Belgian waffle. The service was fine, the only thing was the food took a little to long to come out. Man next to us ordered same sandwich after us, and received it before us. Besides that, the place is very good!!!

Very slow service. We ordered a kale ceasar salad, which we returned because kale was yellow and brown. Nice location, but the food is pretty bad.

Nothing like sitting outside in Central Park on a beautiful Spring NYC afternoon. Hot cup of java. Fresh blueberry muffin. A view of the Sheep Meadow full of people playing, relaxing, and chilling out. Perfect spot inside the park to take a load off and people watch. Plenty of tables and chairs with waitress service. Or just walk up to grab and go. Bathrooms here too that are decently clean. After walking around the park for a good part of the day we took a rest here and chatted over coffee late afternoon. Service was ok. They let us order on our own up at the counter and sit wherever we wanted. No problem. Overall, a nice spot to have a bite and something to drink. Beats the dirty water dog carts.

Central Park on a Sunday post run. Around 8 am and they had no granola ready, grumble. So I settled for a chocolate croissant and an iced coffee. I then went outside to a huge seating area only to be told it was for ordering only. Seems silly at that time of the morning that I couldn’t eat my breakfast in the sun with food I had just bought from inside. The seating area for people who had bought from here, was only about 4 tables, so completely full. Opted for finding a bench. The croissant was good as was the iced coffee.

I was here last Sunday 4÷17÷16 and I had the Quiche Lorraine with a raspberry lemonade. It was delicious! And what made it even better was the service. Elias was great, I had never eaten here before and he made the decision process super easy! He really knows his stuff! I will definitely be back!

I’m a big fan of LPQ and have been to many through out the city. This location by far has the worst service. Today was my first and last visit. Everyone seemed in a bad mood and a bit surley. Very unfriendly. Our server Elias, was surley. He took our order right away but when we sat we had no silverware and napkins. We asked for water for the table. He never brought them. Our coffees and lattes come out and Elias doesn’t bring the settings or spoons for the coffee. I asked him for settings, spoons, sugar and the water. He seemed annoyed I asked and only brought spoons. We had to ask another server to bring the rest. When our food arrived we ask for bread for the table but we were told there was a charge for bread. All othe LPQ locations happily provide bread for the table. The only thing good about this location is the beautiful location in Central Park. If you like service with a attitude by all means this is the place. Unfortunately it seems like they don’t care to improve the service since there is many bad Unilocal reviews concerning the service and it’s still has not improved. This is reflective of the management of this location which condones it. Also with the location they will always be busy especially with the many tourist who frequent the park so no need for management to make a effort to improve the quality of service.

Love Pain Quotidien. Soups and salads are the best for a quick and healthy meal. Unfortunately the staff is constantly changing and the employees are inexperienced resulting in many mistakes. The food is five star but for the service it is sadly not always up to par.

We specifically came to New York to have the chicken soup at this location. We came in and the glasses for water, 2 of the 6 were filthy. Luckily they had wine, which we ordered and in the meantime we were told the menu is on the wall. After deciding what we wanted, upon telling our server our order, he then informed us they were out of basically everything we wanted. It was discouraging and disappointing that if we were told before hand or the items were crossed off the menu we would have either left or figured out another alternative. From what was left on the menu, we tried the minestrone soup, The food was decent and the ambience is nice, which is what is giving them the 2 star rating.

Went here today by accident. My sisters and I were visiting Central Park on our last day in the city. We were going to try Tavern on the Green, despite our last experience, but came across this place and I am so glad we did. Andy, our server, was very attentive and had a great personality. The setting was perfect and the food was quite nice.

Staff is attentive, thought not overly friendly. The lemonade is delicious. Not very good sandwiches but nice salads. But how can you beat the location

I am so envious of the locals who live right along Central Park West. To take a sunrise stroll(or jog) through Central Park and fetch a morning cup of coffee at this place… quaint little coffee shop with fresh baked breads, crossaints and pastries. The almond cheese pastry was hands down the freshest pastry I have ever had. I enjoyed it with a cappuccino on a crisp cool morning overlooking the park. It is dog friendly and they have a bowl of complimentary organic dog treats on the counter.

Service was pretty terrible. I had to order three different items before I finally asked for something that they could make me(didn’t have the some of the ingredients I guess). Finally ordered a ham and cheese croissant, wanted for 10 minutes for it, asked when it would be ready(this was after a woman who ordered a croissant after me received hers before me), no response, grabbed a guy from the kitchen after another five minutes and he said he just got the order 2 minutes ago. Was prompt to bring it out to me. Only problem was that is wasn’t what I ordered. Ended up with an egg croissant instead of ham and cheese. That being said, the croissant and coffee were very good.

Woke up in NYC to a beautiful snowfall, the wet snow that covers everything in a white veil. I HAD to trek through Central Park to partake of the beauty. However this Miamian quickly succumbed to the freezing temps. Luckily, LPQ was conveniently located in the park for much-needed hot chocolate. It had a good Belgian chocolate taste, but was kinda watery and a small serving. A toasted ham and gruyère croissant was very delicious but was not very filling. I felt the price was high for what was received, but considering the location, I get it. If I lived here, I think I would just pack a Thermos with my own hot chocolate and skip LPQ.

Great spot, healthy food options. We come here almost every day. They serve some of the best coffee in the neighborhood. Try the quinoa scone!

The only thing you can count on here is bad service. I’ve tried this place many times, and I always wait long for my order as it’s run by employees on their cell phones, gossiping, chatting, anything that doesn’t have to do with helping customers. Also yesterday I purchased a sandwich and asked if they could heat it briefly and they said they could not. I’d have to sit down for that. I’m a paying customer, and you won’t heat the cold, soggy sandwich I just purchased from you? Attitude attitude. Worst Le Pain Quotidien ever!

This place is conveniently located(I came here after an afternoon at the Frick Collection). The café offers a sit-down restaurant area. The menu is extensive, with brunch dishes to pastries to lattes. I ordered a Greek yogurt parfait, which had granola, shaved coconut, and strawberries. Typically, my problem with parfaits is that they’re too sweet, but this one had no added sugar, which was great. My friend ordered a frittata, and the plate came with bread slices and a side salad of mixed greens. The portion sizes are not bad, and the quality of the food is pretty good, but the food is a bit pricey for the type of food and relatively simple combinations. However, you come to LPQ with peace of mind and the assurance that you’ll be getting a nice dining experience with a variety of options.

Vraiment rien a redire. Service à l’américaine. Pain Bio de très bonne qualité(et je suis un amateur!) limonade excellente, salade gargantuesque. Une super adresse au cœur de central park !
