Haven’t been a candy eating person for a few years but I haven’t been feeling quite right these days so let the candy eating commence! Unilocaled this spot and was delighted it was within blocks of my abode. I pranced away and into the store. Boy was it colorful! Definitely forgot what a candy store looked like! They’ve got tons of different sweets! Especially gummy stuff. I got a packet of assorted sour strips. Best things ever! Don’t forget savory too — nuts! The Asian lady behind the counter seemed sweet too. Say hi! Four stars because it could be cheaper. But maybe that’s me coming from the south… And perhaps we are near Times Square. I don’t like these price hikes though! Oh and also because my companion said his chocolate covered almonds were just«okay.» Guess I’ll take his word for it – he’s quite the foodie. I don’t eat that stuff.

Nut Castle is great. It’s so much cheaper than Dylan’s and/or FAO Shweetz, etc. with just as good of a selection. The people who work here are always friendly, smiling, and happy to see you!

This store is going to undo all the hours at the gym. I come here for everything because I love candy so much. They are very accommodating considering I order ridiculously small amounts at a time(if I get a lot I’ll eat it all). The prices of the branded boxed candy is high so stick to the good stuff in cases.

Great little store — was looking for chocolate covered gummy bears for co-worker and this cute convenient store was perfect.:)

The people who own this candy store are very friendly. They carry a wide selection of candy from sugar free treats to fruit slices to cashews. I have never gotten candy here that wasn’t fresh(which is generally a problem with these sorts of places, especially if you go for less popular items). I really like the fact that almost all unwrapped candy is kept behind the counter here. They scoop for you(which is infinitely more sanitary) and have prepackaged bags of loose candy out on the floor. I highly recommend a visit to this tiny store if your candystore search for higher quality licorice bridge mix, gummybears, sour belts, red hots, etc in NYC has been yeilding petrified results!
