I celebrated my birthday here this past Thursday and it was really cool. The place is small. Like TINY! I could only imagine what it’s like on the weekend. Nonetheless, the experience was cool minus some confusion. I chose to come here because of the party that happens on Thursdays and the fact that this particular day was my actual birthday (rather than celebrating on a weekend). The promoter who booked my package offered one thing and confirmed, but once I arrived I was told by the staff that they didn’t offer the package, it was pointless to argue. I’m not sure about coming here for bottle service because I don’t like misrepresentation, but if you’re looking for a quick place to catch a drink and a view then it’s worth a stop.

Went for a networking event at happy hour that basically took up he entire space. Asked how long it would take for some apps to come out before ordering since I had to leave for another event. I was told 7 – 10 minutes. After about 30 minutes I asked how long and was told everything was coming out. About 45 minutes after ordering the first item came out and I told the waitress to either wrap everything up or cancel my entire order, which she somehow could not understand. After telling her three times she took the wrap it up option which took another 10 minutes. If the kitchen is slammed and it takes a long time for food to come out I can understand, but the wait staff needs to have a clue and not be off by a factor of 5x in their time estimate.

This past weekend it was my boyfriends birthday so we decided to go to the attic… HORRIBLE CHOICE.
For 1 when I spoke to a woman named Tatiana she said I was allowed to switch certain bottles free of charge if we didn’t like what was in the package. I get to the venue and I’m told that’s not true at all… although I have a email with the confirmation.
We buy bottles.800 package and are told 12 guests will be granted free of charge. I had to keep leaving the party to go downstairs to ensure my friends got in! Completely unnecessary! I must of went up and down about 4 – 5 times.
And to top it off, my boyfriend best friend shows up and they won’t let him in bc his shirt didn’t have a collar and then was told if you add another bottle you can get in. HORRIBLE! There were people upstairs in T shirts and Nike sneakers on. A whole group of Asian people were in sweat pant outfits.
One of the bouncers (really cool guy) told me its bc each of them bought a bottle. Smh.
Terrible experience.

It’s a fun place for day parties which is really the only times I’ve ever been to this venue. It’s mainly an indoors location with some seating outside that’s nice and convenient when it’s warm out.
The service has always been decent to me and the drinks strong, although pricey. My only complaint is that I feel like leaving is a fire hazard.
My last time here, unfortunately a girl decided to start a fight with her friend which thankfully ended quickly but after that they cut the entire party short, forcing everyone to leave. Now I wouldn’t have a problem with that if there were more ways to exit than the ONE elevator that fits about 10 people uncomfortably.
I feel like if you’re going to host events you need to make sure there are multiple exits whether they be by way of stairs (even though we were on the ¹⁵⁄₁₆^th floor) or just having multiple elevators.
Putting that to the side, I always have a good time when I come here for events and plan to continue to do so.

Service is a little slow but the place is pretty good. The servers are nice.
The rooftop is very nice and not crowded. Music is decent. Drinks are a little pricey and not strong but then you have happy hour. So not bad.

Please avoid this place. There are far better options for a rooftop experience. I was there on saturday night. Before i even get to buy a drink or walk around i’m down $ 34. Cover was $ 30 for guys and $ 4 for automatic coat check. The bouncer does not care if you just paid to get in. You have to wait again to check your coat. The line is cumbersome and hectic.
I dont get this policy because it was cold that night and if you wanted to enjoy the view you were freezing your ass off. Mean while i do see a group of select people walking around with coats.
What gives?! Double standard.
The bottom line is… The Attic has a complex. It thinks its a super club like Marquee or 1Oak but its just a small tent on a roof with a smaller second floor that has zero ventilation.
Charges high prices for drinks in a can or plastic 6 oz cups filled with ice. For this money i’d rather go to PHd, Chantelle or the highline. Never again.

Great happy hour and gorgeous view. Worth visit. Drinks were strong and bartender was super friendly. Don’t know where the bad reviews are coming from. People should just chill and enjoy this beautiful rooftop.

I came with my coworkers for a happy hour after work. This was our second time. Love romantic and tropical vibe that u get when u walk in. Rooftop is on 16^th floor and I am was amazed by view every time. They have amazing and friendly bartenders. Well drinks are strong and good size. Their margarita is best! Despite how busy was, food came out fast. Lobster Roll appetizer is must have! It was melting in my mouth… Place is perfect to show your date beautiful sunset over Manhattan as well. Love their hot crowd. We will be back!

Great happy hour spot. Lovely vibe. Good drinks. Friendly bartenders and waiters. I will most definitely return.

The crowd here is young! Too young if you ask me. The boys have fun doing a «dance off», while the young ladies almost come to blows in the bathroom line (only 4 stalls).
The music wasn’t great, but I doubt they have the same horrible DJ every time.
The food actually tasted well, but we ordered and waited more than 1 hour for the first plate to arrive. Then thirty minutes later another person in my party was able to eat when another plate arrived. We all left hungry, they need to hire more people to work the weekend shift.
We ordered a bottle of vodka for the table and after she charged the card, came out with a Blueberry flavored one. Didn’t ask if we wished for a refund, or if the replacement was ok. She just made the decision for us.
Will never come back!

Went to their season launch party and fell in love with this place, which I hadn’t been to since the High Bar days. Their booze filled ice pops were a hit — something I’d definitely order again, and not just because it’s Instagram worthy. The live music was great and the views of the sunset were the icing on the cake.

So if I tell you about the worst experience ever!!! My sister was having a party at this spot where the party «Vice» is supposed to occur and the bouncers and management was complete assholes and jerks. Everyone is trying to enjoy themselves and the bouncers says to all of the guys «We are not letting anymore men in». WHAT??? So you’re telling me, because men are trying to solicit your establishment and pay their hard earn money… You don’t want to let them in. The city always try to make their own rules and make their own bi-​laws. So for that 5 ppl walked off the line because no one wants to wait on line until the «bouncer» feel it’s right to let men in! Absolute bullshit! Trust… This will be the last post about this spot cause unless the bouncer is removed, I won’t or will suggest the patronage of this establishment!
From looking at the reviews from other Unilocalers and the amount of single starts this club/​lounge received, it will give an overall picture of the lack of satisfactory customer service. And for the record, no one yelled, screamed or came out of line with the bouncer. A question was asked and the bouncer because agitated and belligerent! If the bouncer is the first person you see (from line of customer service) you will think you can ask a simple question for clarification when needed. But obviously this isn’t the case because then you ask a question, the bouncers in-​turn catches and attitude and starts to become the negative force. At this point no other words is needed to be said and the piss-​poor comment that was made on behalf of the establishment holds no warrant.

Went to this venue tonight for a Bachelorette party. Both my buddy and I paid $ 20 bucks each and left within 15 minutes. There is no controlled chaos as they filled the room to capacity to get their money’s worth. Our group was with about 20 girls and they gave us a tiny table next to the dance floor and another set of guys that were ready to abuse some girls on the dance floor. The booth should have been for 10 guests at most.
Although the girls stayed, us guys felt the situation got uncontrollable. We even mentioned to security and the host at the door regarding the situation and tat there were individuals who were completely being inappropriate with our group. They said they would take care of it, but never gave us back out money for only being there 15 minutes. What a waste of $ 40. Talk about the already existing bad reviews this place has. The venue should be called a lounge and not a club. Only way up and down was one elevator shaft.
Very disappointed in this NYC timesquare club experience.

FIRST AND LAST TIME HERE!!!
Last week, I went to The Attic because my friend who is a promoter invited me. We walked in and ladies were free but my male cousin had to pay $ 30! My cousin paid the fare and we join the table-​bottle service that my friend-​promoter told us about. 30 minutes later, I walked to the ladies room and after I left the ladies room the bouncer singled me out and said you can’t come back inside. I was so confused and asked him why?
The bouncer quickly respond, «you’re too drunk, you have to leave.» I told him I wasn’t drunk and was there for 30 minutes. He didn’t care so at that point I was over it. I asked if I could get my coat from coat check and he said NO! ummmm okay, this is weird. The promoter and my cousin were looking for me and I told them what had happen. The promoter said «she’s not drunk, we just got here.» The next thing I know the bouncer pushed my friend so hard that my friend landed on me causing me to fall. I was so scared, I never been physically and verbally by a man let alone a bouncer at a club. After my cousin picked me up off the floor the bouncer cursed at my cousin and I. I was so fed up, I left and went to LES.
I honestly don’t know the bouncer’s name but he should get fired and the club should be shut down cause if they allow this kind of behavior from staff. I don’t know what else they would allow.
Bouncer: African American or Latino (probably both) bald head, 6 feet and medium built.
Please if you’re going to this club please be careful. I wouldn’t wish this on my worse enemy.

Nice physical looking space, but terrible service. Waitress messed up every single order not once but 3 times in a row. She was apologetic but seemed overwhelmed all night. We were friendly and understanding the bar tender was very apologetic and when our order was messed up for the third time in a row (first drinks never arrived they were given to someone else, then when we ordered again those never came. Then the food we ordered was the wrong order, then had to wait yet again. Many apologies were provided and bartender was very polite and customer service oriented, told us the two drinks that they messed up would be on the house. Which we appreciated as we felt that was a nice thing to do. When went to pay bill the manager declined the comped drinks the bartender had offered. Not a good move!
Left with a bad feeling definitely would not go back. again.

We were told by the bartender who was a great bartender, we were comped however when we went to pay the tab those comps were reversed by the manager who refused to make good on bad service. You just don’t do that! A very tacky thing to do.

A classmate was celebrating his birthday here, which was great because girls were comped and guys only had to pay the cover if we arrived after 1AM… which — even with all of the planning — we still managed to do.
The Attic should really be called The Garage. or maybe The Greenhouse. Who knows. It’s pretty much how I’d imagine my parent’s garage if I put in a few couches, turned on a few black lights, and shoved a bunch of people into it.
Anyway, you definitely won’t be coming here for the view! This ‘rooftop bar’ is only on the 16^th floor, and it is surrounded by numerous high rises, so the view is quite dismal.
The drinks are way overpriced, even for NYC standards. Even more ridiculously, mixed shots are $ 14/​each. Considering the amount of alcohol per shot, the markup must be insane! I do think that the bartenders are careful with their art though — I don’t know many places where the bartenders will (hygienically) taste test their cocktails before serving them.
Also, I believe the bathrooms are co-​ed, which is a huge turn-​off. The line for the women’s room at a bar is long no matter what, and adding guys to the mix just doesn’t seem like a really smart idea.
I had fun, but I can only attribute this to the group I was with. Otherwise, I’m sure the night would have been a bust.

Was just here last night. So let me just start off by saying its is SUPER shady as you walk in through left and right turns in some long corridor/​hallway until you reach the elevator. As another reviewer mentioned, it does feel like you’re part of a horror movie LOL. The attendant there was very nice and helpful even though he literally deals with drunk people all night.
As we got upstairs, the space was a bit small. Or it seemed smaller because it was completely packed. I do have to agree that it was overpriced at the bar but what do you expect in the city? That’s bound to happen so I’m not going to complain about it. I wish they had better lighting. I know they’re going for that dark clubbing feel but the outdoor area should have had some globe lights scattered throughout at least.
Glad I went and checked it out but I won’t be returning since there’s better spots nearby.

Awful. Completely overcrowded and overpriced. The best part about it was being able to go outside on the roof to get air, but even that was a hassle because there were so many people out there. Ladies were free but guys had to pay a $ 20 cover.
We had a better, cheaper and less crowded time at Playwrights.
