Yeong’s Place

So I moved here about a year ago and I have heard good things about this place. Today I decided to go have lunch there for the first time. It is delicious! Best burgers I have had here in the Bay Area. We got the mushroom burger and the garbage burger they were so good. I couldn’t even finish eating the garbage burger it was so huge! Go there :) you won’t be disappointed

Burger. Go here. Awesome. Just an old school white square restaurant on side of street with very helpful and friendly staff and excellent BURGERS. In fact the wall is covered in best burger awards for the local south coast of oregon.
Only reason I have 4 stars (not 5) is because they use premade (not hand cut in house) fries. However, it seems the customers in front of us were thrilled to have options of taters, regular, curly or waffle fries so it works for them!
In a land of corporate burgers this place is the original. Easily better than in and out too.

Good comfort food, greasy but satisfying lol :) love their fries and chicken strips! The place itself looks kind of dumpy, but it’s a hidden gem I promise. Husband enjoyed his club sandwich.

What is all the hype about this place? Giant bun with tiny flat burger and too greasy fries. And they take FOREVER. They told me 15 minutes for take out and I was there for 40 before I received my food.

Not only do they serve great food the food is done an served up by some pretty ladies. CAnt beat that. Awesome spot

Rock over London, rock on Chicago… Yeong’s, it’s the only place to eat in North Bend. Jk, but this is the only place I go to… In north bend. I’m working my way down the milk shake menu, just had the Heath Bar shake. Thanks Yeong’s!

It’s quite hard to put into words just how good burgers are from Yeong’s. It’s like I would want heaven to be when I die I guess. Simply amazing every time I go.
My normal is the Super Burger w/​Bacon. Super is a double cheeseburger with all the normal toppings plus your choice of Bacon, Ham, or Hot dog added for $ 9.00 w/​fries! Might seem high, but you get a burger that could last you two days. Their special sauce is awesome, and if you like pickles, then you’ll love how to make their burgers.
I’ve also had their Sauce Delight, which is basically a Super w/​Bacon, but then they put BBQ beef brisket on it as well. A very unique experience, and quite good as well.
Try it and be amazed. Only one other place even gets close to this place in town, and I’ll keep that to myself.

We had takeout of a giant burger, a brisket burger, and a patty melt. Service was A+…Food was A+…and prices were great! New favorite burger joint!

Not sure what all the fuss about this place is. It’s old, dated and kinda dirty in general. The service can be very slow also. Their food has never really wowed me, but locals pack the place full. Not the best I’ve had and not the worst, just average at best.

I loved comming here when ever I could untill about this last yr. You have to go there when the right person is cooking. In the middle of the burger one time was still red and un cook. Went last wk ordered a bacon cheeseburger no onions to get home to find NO Bacon and a lot of onions. I called and got well we can make you another one if you want to bring that one back tonight. Well I live out of town not going back to get a burger that should of been done the right way. I’m in the resturant business as well. I’ve made my mistakes right the right way. Sorry to see it slipping. I took onions off and my son took some bacon that was on his and said I can split my bacon.

Came to town for a few days and found out they were a fabulous burger place. Probably the best burger I’ve had in a long time. Fresh in the spot and not to mention the shakes are delish !!

I visit coos bay every year in July. One of my first stops is yeongs. The burgers here are second to none. Yeongs is one of those places you drive by and wonder, why are they always busy. Then you stop and order s burger and discover why. Because they are freakin good. The only thing I wish was that they made home made fries. The frozen one leave something to be desired.

Authentic American burger joint, just what you want in a greasy, grade A beef to buffalo messy, perfect burger. The owners and staff do a bangup job! Definitely the best burger in town.

The last time I ate here was a few years ago. The burger was just meh, not bad and not good but at least I did not see the problems I encountered when I went here on March 2^nd, 2015. While waiting for my order I heard a customer complain about having brown lettuce on their burger. WTF? How does someone in the kitchen miss THAT? When I ordered I asked for a HAMburger, not a CHEESEburger. I had asked for a two patty HAMburger and was asked if I wanted cheese. I said no. How hard is that to comprehend? Apparently impossible for Yeong’s, which much be Chinese for Yuck’s but believe me I was not yukking it up when I got back with the order only to discover it was screwed up with some awful cheese.
So if you want bad food and screwed up orders, by all means go vote with your $$$ to support this overhyped place. Lord knows we have no shortage of them in Coos County! On the other hand if you want a better burger and local places where orders don’t get screwed up due to an inability to handle the English language, try Sizzler or Bay Burger Inn, places that have never done me wrong.

After trying the burgers at North Bend Bowl we had to move Yeong’s down one notch. The food’s about even, and so is the service. But the bowl has beer. Real craft beer. Cheap. No contest.

I took a couple stars off because last time I went, four weeks ago, I ordered their turkey club sandwich. But as I was about to dig in, I noticed my avocado was brown…:(and then I noticed there was American cheese layering my club. Ugh!!! :(:(Why!!! It made me think… low quality perhaps???
Their sandwiches are unnaturally large… and same goes for their burger patties, bacon helpings… etc. it is almost feeling wrong… like costco chicken Breast wrong. Like pumped with hormones wrong. And being this large of helpings they cost so little… I’m scared! :0
Next time I may ask to take a gander in their kitchen… jk I would feel like a weirdo doing that… but still… It stresses me out…

The reviews weren’t kidding. The burgers are dang good.
We walked into the place and it’s filling with people. People ordering, eating, passing through. There were two cooks in the back and one person at the cashier. It was obvious that there were lots of regulars at this place and a good portion of the ones I happen to see that day were elderly. The cashier girl was so sweet when she was talking to the gentleman behind us and then later when there wasn’t a line, she joined him at his table to chat. The whole scene was the kind of scene that makes you feel all warm inside. This is the kind of place that makes me want to come back.
The food is excellent. I had the salmon burger. There was the option of tartar sauce of the chipotle. Both sounded good. I was torn so I had them both on the side. Both sauces are delicious. I still can’t decide. The fries are delicious. The sweetheart ordered the guacamole burger and he finished it all. He really enjoyed his burger too.
If you’re driving through town, do stop here for a burger. It’s worth it. Next time, I’m ordering a milkshake too.
