Talked to the receptionist, Chica, today about seeing my son on an Emergency basis. Dr. Kim is out of network for us but the female is in network. Chica told me they charge $ 165 for a baby tooth removal. She was very insulted when I told her I thought that was extremely high and that the visit today would be $ 250 for nitrous and a bitewing and an office visit and baby tooth pulling, despite having some dental coverage with our insurance. She was very ignorant when I exclaimed how shocked I was and toldme that I have GOOD coverage for in network. I said actually, I have excellent coverage. (20% copays) and she said, «No. It’s GOOD. Maybe we can get you in Tuesday.» I said, «No thank you. But I will let our regular dentist know that your fee schedule seems high!» She got pretty upset with me and said they were on target for the area. Ok, well, when I can go to an Oral Surgeon for an adult tooth removal and he only charged $ 150, there’s a problem. She told me I had to have gotten a deal. (I didnt).
