Gorgeous store!!! Loved the young local girl who works there… she was really sweet. We ran into the owner the following day and thought she needed to be warmer to her customers. I think she is from LA… maybe she is still settling into the relaxed and inviting feel of a small town. Wanted to buy some lovely homewares but was a little put off after her energy. Maybe you will catch her on a better day — I hope so because it is truly a great store for Ojai to have — refreshingly modern and stocking the most beautiful goods. She clearly has great style when it comes to interior decorating, fashion and design. Check it out!!!

This is a stunning shop! My first time back in Ojai for a couple of years, I was so happy to have stumbled upon it. Gorgeous selection of knits, boots, and beauty products — not to mention the most heavenly scented candles (namesake of the shop)…so I should give five stars, yes? I would have if I had based this on my first walk through — lovely young redhead helped me out my first go ’round. I brought my mother in the next day and the sweetest dog was waiting, it seemed, just for us. The woman (with brown, almost black hair) working at the tea counter, who I am assuming was one of the store owners, truly did herself a disservice that day. She did not engage with either one of us, even though we were both curious and very much interested in what there was to offer at deKor. Honestly, we were on a walk through for friend/​client to help decorate and furnish one of her properties and were prepared to do some major buying. We just walked out… really did not feel welcome, apart from the sweet pup. Best of luck to the, hopefully, more friendly half of the partnership. We’ll be off to Malibu Design in the meantime.

Selection was alright, but there’s an employee named Vanessa there who was hands down one of the rudest employees I’ve ever interacted with. She was condescending, bitter, not helpful at all, and one of the coldest and most unfriendly individuals I’ve met in awhile. If you’re gonna go in, make sure she’s not there. I never write Unilocal reviews but I felt I should perform my act of due diligence and save the world any interaction with her. Sorry I asked if you carried any jeans bigger than a 26.

A tea oasis in a design store. The staff is sweet and knowledgeable and will offer you roasted pistachios. A great spot!
