Beautiful spot. Great ambiance. Super yummy local, small batch California wines. Absolute great place to spend a couple of hours. Che k out the cool light fixtures over the bar too.

Had a great time here for a bachelorette. Our server Andy was wonderful, and the wine was really excellent.

Excellent winery in the area. The Grenache/Syrah mix as well as the Viognier were tasty. Will definitely return in my next visit to Ojai. The employee Charlie was very polite, hospitable, and very engaged with customers. Also very knowledgeable about wines! Learned a lot from him.

Surprisingly, there aren’t many tasting rooms in Ojai(at least, that I could find open on a Sunday with a days notice). Anywhoo… Jen H. and I made this our first tasting spot for the day and I enjoyed it. With the rainy weather, this was a wonderful way to start a wine drinking jaunt in downtown Ojai. The Ojai Vineyard’s new tasting room is spacious, has a great bar, and I love the $ 6k wine barrel door–(ask them to show you the inside). The two gentlemen providing tastings were very friendly, extremely knowledgeable about the vineyards history and the region. We were lucky, it wasn’t busy and no huge crowds came in so we had our sommelier’s full attention. I cannot recall his name but he was a young Ojai local(I believe it was Jason). He discussed the history of the vineyard, offered some great suggestions for the Paso Robles area(we had informed him we have plans of visiting in the next month or so) — very informative and friendly. We had five tastings between us. And the $ 15. is waived with a two bottle purchase which we did. I was torn between the 2013 Pinot Noir, Bien Nacido from Santa Maria Valley and the 2014 Viognier, Roll Ranch from Upper Ojai. I ultimately went with the Viognier but will most likely purchase the Pinot for my Pinot loving friend for Christmas on my return visit. This tasting room didn’t have a stuffy uptight vibe at all. A beautiful and simple designed wine room with a spectacular wine display. PARKING: Street parking in the neighborhood and along the main street

The worst experience! The man in the tasting room was so ridiculously inattentive to us! I am not sure if he had a problem with us being gay or, may be, we looked too young for the place, or just the fact that we are minority gay man! Who knows! But the man’s comments were undermining, egotistical, and pretentious. I just assumed he was having a bad day, so I was okay with it. That is, until another couple arrived and he became the most attentive, sweet, and lively person. Long story short, stay away from this place! …it is too bad though because the wine was good and the place was beautiful! My partner and I suggest trying the Vine or Casa Barranca who have great service, amazing wine, and awesome ambiance. They try to get to know you.

The wine was good but the place was not as lively as Casa Barranca. The bartender was sweet and helpful though. The pours were a bit short but it was good, overall.

Best wine tasting in town. Superb staff. Stunning décor. Solid membership options and perks. Most importantly, the wines are delicious. I never miss an opportunity to take out of town guests for free member tastings. Huh. Member Tastings is either an awful band name or a great porn title. You decide.

The perfect setting to taste their fine wine selections which are among the best in the area. The tasting room is beautifully appointed with local décor, flowers and wall of wines to checkout closely. Impressive. It’s within walking distance of anything in town and close to restaurants when your appetite is ready.

6 wines for $ 15 is higher than most I have been to but the wine was very good. 5 of their wines, and 1 rotational based off employee selections. (I’m not gonna go full wine snob on this) 1. Chardonnay — Crisp, fruity, and bright — not buttery or oaky 2. Rose’ — Dry, tart light in color Viognier base 3. Sauvignon Blanc — Citrus, dried fruit, tart 3. Pinot Noir — Earthy, tart 4. Syrah — Tart on the front pallet, and earthy on the back pallet. Very drinkable, and smooth. 5. Riesling«Ice Wine» — VERY sweet, and jammy. No tartness. No strong alcohol taste at only 10% The staff is very friendly, and knowledgeable. The inside of the tasting room is really nice. lots of mixed elements went into the design. bright atmosphere. A worthy stop!

The tasting room and setup were great, the wines were nothing to write home about unfortunately. Spent $ 30 on two tasting tours, of the group the best wine was the Sauvignon Blanc.

My friend and I decided to go wine tasting in Ojai since we’ve pretty much visited all the other wineries in the Oxnard/Camarillo area. This was our first stop. I loved it as soon as we walked in. The decoration is so appealing and the whole place is super clean. The selection for the day was great. I loved everything except for one. It actually worked out because my friend had mine and I ended up having the sweet wine that she didn’t like. It also didn’t hurt that the guy working was super cute. I definitely recommend this spot. It’s perfectly located and their wine selection is fantastic.

Wowed again by this wonderful tasting room!!! My husband and I met John last year and had the most wonderful experience! We ended up joining the wine club, buying wine, and recommending the Ojai name to everyone we know! Our most recent visit was quite special as John told us that he was about to get engaged that weekend! This is how genuine and friendly the staff are here. We were hoping to see him again, as his service and expertise was the reason we joined the club! :) We learned a bit more this visit on why we prefer certain wines and what to look for, thanks John! Our tasting was fantastic and as usual we ended up purchasing some amazing wine! If you love wine and great people, this is the place for you!

I will put three stars to be nice, one for each reason why we wouldn’t return. 1. The place is brightly lit with LED lights. A dimmer mood would be more romantic, cozy, and classy instead of feeling like an interrogation. We wanted to see good pours; instead we saw pores. 2. Maybe you like self-important, bike-repairing, hat wearing, drumming bearded hipsters, but that’s the reason we left LA in the first place! 3. The wines, when the guy finally came around to pour them, ranged from Meh to Blecch.

My wife and I don’t know much about wines and I would say we’re the opposite of the stereotypical«wine snobs». We just like to enjoy ourselves and have fun! At the Ojai Vineyard Tasting Room, we found ourselves in good company. The staff we know, Art and Bill, are great guys. They’re incredibly friendly, they LOVE wine, and they talk about it in simple, approachable terms that even laypeople like us can understand. And hearing them talk about the process of growing and harvesting the grapes and the flavors created is a real joy! The tasting room itself is a haven on a hot day. It’s calm and spacious, simply decorated and well-lit, where the air is kept crisp and cool so the aroma of the wine stands out as you lift the glass to your nose. The world outside seems to fade away and you feel like you could sit there forever, simply enjoying yourself or making new acquaintances with fellow tasters. Everyone smiles here, and everyone is here to enjoy themselves and the wine. How much did my wife and I like this place? On our first visit we became members! Now we make regular trips to Ojai to visit our friends at the Tasting Room, relax and recharge over a tasting of their latest wines, and take home a few bottles to share with friends back home. One of the best investments in our happiness we have ever made. Just thinking about it now takes the stress out of my shoulders…

Passing through Ojai while taking the scenic way home, my friend highly recommended stopping in for wine tasting. He had been fortunate enough to have wines from Ojai Vineyard at a restaurant in Big Sur. He assured me that both he and his Aussie friend found their wines delicious! We stopped in and found a beautiful tasting room with friendly and helpful staff. We were offered six wine tastings for $ 15; if you buy two bottles of wine, the tasting fee is waived. We were also told about the history of the winery, the wine-making philosophy and appropriate pairings for each wine. I was really impressed by the overall quality of the wines. The Syrah and the«Ice Wine»(dessert wine) stood out with their unique and subtle flavors. Pours were generous and we made our way out, a tiny bit tipsy, a lot happy, my friend with two bottles of wine in his possession, and both of us ready for more adventures!

Although Ojai Vineyard tasting room has been in this location for years(they were previously next door), they now have a new tasting room(they’ve been open for all of 6 weeks) and it’s stunning. Super modern with nice details, like the trimmed wine bottles over the bar lights — a nice touch. It’s a great setting for wine tasting. Also, it’s a great place to bring some food or a picnic and purchase a bottle of wine — they have bistro tables inside and outside so there’s plenty of options whether the weather cooperates or not. The wines here are very good. They likely won’t blow your mind(most of the fruit is not immediately local and comes from the Santa Ynez and Santa Maria Valleys), but they won’t disappoint you either. The Sarah is very good and I was surprised how much I enjoyed the dessert wine(«ice» wine), especially since I don’t care for many dessert wines. Overall, although prices are a little on the high side given the quality, It’s really hard not to recommend this tasting room.

Santa Barbara and the rest of the Central Coast wine country is marvelous, but from LA, it’s at least another hour to 2.5 hours of driving to hit these great venues. Ojai Vineyard is a cute little spot in an even cuter spot in downtown Ojai. While there aren’t a lot of wineries in Ojai(four in total), this one is worth a visit. The tasting room is airy, new, and inviting. Tucked off the main strip, Ojai has a small outdoor patio and glass walls with a panoramic view of their glass enclosed wine cellar that beckons you in. There are tables and of course the wine bar to sample your tastings. For about 5 – 6 tastings, it’s $ 15 a person, which seems a little steep to me. A purchase of 2 bottles will waive your tasting fee, which may be part of their pitch. There were one or two wines that we thought were good. The rest were just ok to be honest. The most intriguing options were the Chardonnay and the Sauvignon Blanc. We ended up getting a bottle of each. If you’re in town, Ojai Vineyard is worth a visit.
