This is a really cute mom and pop restaurant in downtown Ojai. The service was great, and I really enjoyed their scones. I’ll definitely ask some friends to bring me back some of their scones if ever they’re in Ojai.

S L O W E S T service ever! Took 10 minutes for server to make it to the table, another 50 minutes to tell us the kitchen had run out of spinach, then another 10 to deliver the food. 1 hour 10 minutes in total. Great food.

No complaints about the food. The service, however, was insulting. Was having a pleasant day in Ojai until we went to this place. The waitress was the rudest woman I have ever encountered. Our interaction began with her not making any eye contact while taking our order. She, then, demanded that we choose a bread for our sandwiches — literally, DEMANDED. She returned with our order and dropped them on the table in front of us without a word. She ignored us until she brought us our check. I don’t know what her issue was yesterday but there is no excuse for her behavior. I suggest before you eat here, peek inside and look around — if you see a scowling older woman with short grayish hair, find another restaurant.

We had sweet service! However, terrible ambiance. Red walls with tacky white signs that say«kindness,» «love,» and«believe.» Poor quality food: frozen hash browns, Smuckers jelly, really? Even their«homemade» bread was boring and unflavorful. All for an expensive price! Seriously Ojai? You can do better!

We went for lunch and food was just ok. A little pricey for what we got. Waiter was nice but as far as getting our food it took over 35 minutes to get it. We were just about to pay for my lemonade and walk out. Portions were small and didn’t have much flavor. We had got the Pulled Pork sandwich and a Walnut Chicken salad. Before leaving we decided to use the bathroom and it was ok but smelled terribly of warm urine. Kinda nauseating!

Darling bakery filled with locals — staff knew everyone by name. Scone was simply wonderful — they are the size of a small salad plate. It appears everything is house made. There a few tables inside and a nice patio outside.

My wife and I came for breakfast on the weekend. We decided to sit in the patio section it was a rainy morning with the sun just poking through the clouds the atmosphere was perfect. What can I say the coffee was excellent the food was delicious. The service from our waiter and staff was fantastic.

Excellent service. Good food. Nice locale. We were greeted with a smile and a «good morning, welcome». We were seated right away and offered drinks pretty quickly. So far so good. The interior of the place has many oil paintings that are very good. I ordered the hash and eggs and my wife ordered the waffle. She said it was the best waffle in years. My hash was tasty. My eggs just like I asked. The potatoes were a little undercooked but not terribly. The men’s restroom was spotless. Clean and clearly maintained. I think they allow dogs in the patio which is cool. I’d eat breakfast here often… But I’m just driving through.

My party of 7 stumbled into this place for breakfast when we couldn’t get into Bonnie Lu’s. We could not have been happier. Blake was such an amazing server; very gracious and attentive. The food was delicious, the coffee was strong, and the whole staff was delightful. We will definitely be returning on our next trip to Ojai.

Beautiful patio and great breakfast. You can get a build your own scramble and it comes with choice of muffin, toast or scone AND potatoes, hashbrowns or fruit. Great deal and great atmosphere.

When I used to work in Ojai, this was my go to spot for lunch and even during the weekends when I would come to visit. I tend to be a habit of creature. That was a decade ago. Now I only find myself coming to Ojai a handful of times per year. My out of towner friends who now live locally have never walked around town so I decided to take them out to lunch at my old spot. We originally planned on having brunch, but lunch was in full swing by the time we made it to town. For some odd reason the three of us all ended up getting a salad. The salads were all pretty similar. I got the BBQ chicken salad. I loved my pick. Everything looked fresh and tasted great. The chips were a nice touch and the bread brought back old memories. The service was pretty good. As is with every place in this particular town, everything tends to be slower. You definitely need a little bit of patience to deal with it.

Went to this place a little less than a week ago. The outdoor seating was nice and refreshing which is where we sat. I had a mimosa came with a champagne split and tall glass of OJ. Fresh OJ! I ordered the veggie skillet… but added bacon, cuz that’s just how I roll. It was very very good. It came with a side of sourdough which was also very good. I will definitely come back when in the area.

We stumbled over this place after parking on this street. We drove straight from LA and needed a snack and a break before going to conquer Ojai. So we stopped by, got some nice pastries and ate them at a table outside. Very good muffins, with lots of fruits(apples, blueberries), flavorful, decent prices, good service. Cute little place, perfect for a break in the action.

Great place for breakfast, they have a bakery as well. You can order items from the bakery to compliment your breakfast with a freshly baked pastry. The Eggs Benedict were great, everything has a fresh taste to it with a focus on organic local produce. Great place to get up and shine to.

Good food, atmosphere, menu and service. Just beware that punishingly thick and pasty oatmealy muffin. You’ll need a garden hose to wash it down.

We had the Belgium waffles with fruits and it was ok. Typical diner atmosphere and ok good. Service was overall good. Lots of servers during their busy hour. I’m all about the ambiance or food. This satisfied neither. Sorry! But you are so popular that you don’t need my approval. (This was our 4th breakfast stop for personal food tour by mio!)

This is where I end up when out of town guests want breakfast, but I prefer their lunch choices. Either way I always sit on their covered patio. I am usually amused by the servers’ ability to pass you by. I am used to the just okay service with gaps between asking for more coffee and actually getting the coffee, and I like sitting on their patio. Our last visit was no exception. My friend enjoyed the scramble, and the oatmeal was hot. I loved the fresh pomegranate mimosa. My friend did not seem impressed with her large pumpkin muffin and lack of promised coffee refill or missing to-go box. Stern demands finally made them both happen eventually. I am sure I will be back for breakfast out of habit, and for lunch because I do like sitting on their patio and their salads.
