Delicious! I ordered the chicken shawarma and the fried cauliflower. The shawarma was really good, I really loved the pickled veggies, especially the pickled beets. It was really messy with what I thought was too much garlic sauce, it made it heavier than it needed to be. The fried garlic had great flavored and crunch, but there was too much batter, so it seeped into the cauliflower and remained raw in spots. Overall, everything as great flavor and I would delicately come here again, but so would just order a little differently next time.

Love this food truck! I would frequent this one when working in Downtown. The fried cauliflower is amazing! Great portion sizes! I’ve had it all from the salads to the wraps and loved it all. Super friendly sevice, always greeting with a smile.

This place is amazing, has good vegan options, and is located right next to a bunch of other food trucks. Their Sabich sandwhich is ridiculously good, the pickled mango is really interesting. The food is really garlic-heavy. Middle-eastern food always is, but this is even more than that, so beware if you get the Sabich or something else with the garlic sauce, nobody will want to kiss you for a good 24 hours. Also, somebody left a bad review here because the place doesn’t take credit cards(which they do now, btw). Never seen so much salt and butthurt because somebody had to pay cash. Relax homie, relax.

Maybe 3.5 stars for taste and 4 for price and quantity. I ordered the shawarma salad which was pretty good except not the shawarma that came with it being quite tough and fatty(?) in some places. The portion was a lot which made me happy and the pickled vegetables were really good. The hand cut fries were okay, pretty much burnt potato wedges. Sauce they came with was good tho. My boyfriend ordered the shawarma gyro and he said it was quite thick and agreed with me that the meat was pretty tough. I think I’d only come back if I didn’t feel like paying a little extra for the gyro spot.

Best shwarma ever! Also, the pickled turnips are straight from heaven. Worth every second of the hour long drive from Seattle.

LOVED the chicken shwarma the first two times we got it… today? not so much. It was greasy an the meat seemed stale. Please do some quality control Nineveh! We want to keep coming back! xoxox J&K

The service was on the negative side for a first experience here. Not sure if taking a moment to decide on what we wanted rubbed them the wrong way, but the lady who took our order was very snide and offhanded with us. Even rudely replying«yeah.» when thanked… while I was eating, my thoughts were 1. Why are there pickles on my falafel? 2. Why do the pickles taste like they were brined for 20 minutes? 3. Why doesn’t this sauce taste like anything? The falafel itself was good, but the rest was a bland mess. I won’t be returning.

I’m new to the Unilocal reviews, but I’m a long time fan of the Ninevah Food Truck. I feel the family puts soul and passion into recipes, a necessary feeling for making great food! A well made falafel is hard to come by, this will happen here. Whether or not food is scorching hot when it comes out it’s absolutely irrelevant at a food truck(this is in response to the previous comment, one star is super harsh!). Pickle perfection is the very first thing to be concerned about and Ninevah nails that. They even gave me tips on how to make my own!

Well one of the workers there wrote me and said my review was«spiteful». Yes their food used to be good. It also used to be HOT when served. I havn’t eaten there in a few months now so go fish. If you’re losing business, instead of blaming Unilocal why don’t you THINK about what I had to say. Seriously no one pays attention to bad Unilocal reviews. I think long and hard about giving bad reviews, and I think they absolutely deserve this, I am not making it up and I didnt have a horrible experience with a nasty cashier — nothing like that. I used to be a fan of this place. It’s just… I don’t want self righteousness and communism in my(cold) shwarma. I choose my credit cards and banks based on their ethics and morality as a company, but that’s MY choice. I just want a f*ing sandwich and I don’t want to walk blocks to an atm to pay for it, because some self righteous asshole thinks he is going to change the world by not accepting credit cards. If I wanted people to decide what’s best for me I’d move to the People’s Republic of China. I don’t care if I have to pay extra, like at all of those cheap Asian grocery stores. SO no, it’s not spiteful, it’s what I really think. I will continue to go to the California Taco Wagon because they have what I want, and it’s run by minorities from a foreign country living the American dream who probably understand that at the end of the day people just want a f*ing sandwich. Praise capitalism. Why is it a f*ing sandwich? Because I’m hungry, damn you!

I grew up with this food and it literally tastes just like my grandmas cooking, especially the tabbouleh and fried cauliflower! Its super convenient to have this little gem right by my place, especially when theres not a wide selection of mediterranean cuisine in this area. It feels great to have my kind of comfort food in this little city :-)

Amazing! Too bad we don’t live anywhere near Washington state, otherwise I’d be a regular here. I had the lamb shawarma salad, which was not only huge, but so, so, SO delicious. Husband — who is notoriously fussy, especially when it comes to Middle Eastern food — could not stop raving about the lamb shawerma wrap. Service was friendly and timely. Hope to go back one day!

Shawarma was delicious. Meat was tender and pickled veg was perfect. The most outstanding item we tried was the fried cauliflower. Only downfall is it’s a bit hidden away from the road, and it’s on a one way street. I’ll defiantly be coming back for more. Need to try everything on this menu.

The fried cauliflower tasted OK but was super greasy. And it could really stand to be cut into smaller easier to eat pieces, especially since this is a food truck and you probably don’t have access to a plate, knife, and fork. But more importantly the chicken schwarma REEKEDOFCURRY. What the hell does curry have to do with schwarma?! If I had known that I wouldn’t have even ordered it. I’m already not a huge fan of curry, and even when I do crave it I want it in context, either Indian or Thai food. NOTONMYSCHWARMA. And how ever they prepared the sauce, it was PASTY in texture. The only way this place is getting over 4 stars is because a bunch of Evergreen students who just tried curry for the first time reviewed it and don’t know any better.

I am lucky enough to be two things… One, middle eastern, two, a business traveler. I am blessed to be able to try all types of food all over the country. That being said, Nineveh Assyrian food truck has by far, bar none, the best shawarma I have ever had in my life. The chicken and beef both were so tender, and exploded with flavor. The large pita it was wrapped in was fresh and tasty.(Yes I said large pita) the portions are very generous for your $. With a good selection of sides and appetizers and amazing pita chips that are offered as well, you will not leave disappointed or hungry. **Veggies and Vegans, they’ve got you covered as well! Next time I am within an hour of Olympia, I’m coming back.

You’d think a food truck with an average of 4.5 stars would have served better food than I got the other day. The chicken shawarma looked good when it was served but was bland. The chicken was meh, the sauce had no taste whatsoever. The one good thing on it were the pickled veg, but even they couldn’t be noticed in the sea of blandness that was the rest of the sandwich. But then things took a turn for the worse, as the remainder of my sandwich was a pool of grease. Where do you get that much grease on a shawarma? I’d eaten so much of the sandwich by this point that I figured it was too late to send it back, my mistake. The«hand cut fries» were similarly puddles of grease. I thought at first it was a little surface grease but I was wrong. Although the potatoes themselves had good potato flavor they were overcooked on the outside and greasy throughout. Again, my mistake for not sending them back. Btw, what is up with advertising fries being hand cut when they are cut as potato wedges, all in different sizes? It was bad food on every level, a real gut bomb. Again I should have sent this back but I thought the food was too far consumed by the time I realized how bad it was. As I left I decided to say something to the folks working the truck but got no visible reaction when I brought up the problems. I might as well have been talking to the wastebasket for all the good it did. Two stars for the bad food, minus one star for the lame customer service.

I ordered a chicken shawarma, fried cauliflower, and meat egg rolls or whatever they were called. I could have cracked a tooth on the fried cauliflower. It was like cement surrounding delicious morsels of cauliflower. I could barely penetrate the exterior, so I gave up and tossed them out. These were like nothing I have ever had before. I expected them to be something similar to the fried cauliflower I get in Ellensburg… yeah, no, these sucked. The shawarma was… not supposed to have weird things… like pickled vegetables. I am accustomed to onions, lettuce, and tomatoes, but that’s about it. This was a strange combination of stuff that didn’t appeal to me. Most Greek establishments keep it simple, but these guys complicate their food by put cucumbers and pickled vegetables in their shawarmas. Blech. No, thanks. The egg rolls were probably my favorite, but they had a weird flavor. So disappointing. Fortunately, I was drunk so I actually had a great experience. Haha. …but I won’t be going back. Oh, yeah. The gay guy who took my order was a nice dood.

This is my favorite food truck. The location makes this place killer. Lit Fuse and Sizzizzis are around the corner, there’s seats and tables, and there are other excellent food trucks in the vicinity. The lamb/beef schwarma is excellent: thickly stuffed with meat and hardy aka big. It didn’t look big at first, but then it took me forever to get to the end — only to offer it to someone else. French fries were super thick cut and hot. While the garlic aioli dip that came with it, was only okay — it was very mayonnaise-y. They had a kindof varied selection of bougie drinks. I liked the idea of the interesting flavored clear sodas, but I didn’t get one. They also had Magic Kombucha and Voss. Le dang.

This place is really tasty! I got the schwarma(sp?) salad with chicken and it’s a huge portion. The tahini dressing is crazy delish and the chicken was seasoned perfectly. I also got the grape leaves, which sadly did not impress. They maybe freeze them day to day and mine happened to be not completely thawed out. Overall a score though!

Yes! Sometimes I sit and think about what makes for a 5 star review and today Nineveh made it really easy for me to explain. Basically when I think of a place that meets, or even exceeds my expectations, I’m ready to dole out the stars. In fact, when it’s food-related, I typically have a «I eat the food, not the service» policy. As in, the actual food and the quality of the ingredients is more important than service. But when service is also awesome, it just makes the experience that much better. I popped by Nineveh yesterday with a friend. Being from Seattle I was relying on his local expertise to guide me. Having never tried Assyrian food, I was totally up for something new. I parked right near the truck and as we approached the window to order, we were greeted by the friendly guy inside. He was helpful and offered suggestions regarding what to order, and he explained some of the dishes to make the ordering process easy. Actually, the descriptions of the food made ordering almost harder because everything sounded so great. I settled on a sandwich, which was more of a wrap, and my friend Nick had a salad. The portions were massive, the food was extremely tasty, and everything was reasonably priced and ready within minutes. Good service, good food… I don’t know what more I could ask for! I don’t think I could visit Olympia without hunting this truck down. Definitely some of the tastier food I’ve had in recent weeks. Thanks, Nineveh!
