So sad Clark’s Café is closed. We really loved this place. Breakfast and lunch were really good.

very cool family owned place with great service. My daughter got the gluten free pancakes and I got the pecan French toast. Everything was very good and we will be back, I want to try the red velvet pancakes next time. Looks like they have special items also that changes daily or weekly

If I could give 0 stars I would. Waiting 50 minutes for breakfast is just unacceptable anywhere. I blame the poor performance on bad ownership and management. The chef had his hands tied having only two burners to cook on. I got the omelette which was average at best, however they got my order wrong and didn’t put bacon. I was left with a below average onion omelette topped with brown avocado. Along side my omelette was a half plate of over oiled soft potatoes. Needless to say I will not be coming here again and I recommend no one else comes here either. Oh and the water was brought to our table room temperature with things floating in it.

A friend of mine suggested this place. Good location but a little hidden from the Main Street. There wasn’t anyone inside when we got there, and only one guy working. He was extremely nice and seemed like a quiet guy but he was very polite and accommodating. We both had the special banana pudding pancakes. Outstanding though it could’ve used more syrup. Great food and great service. Very cheap too!

Super cute breakfast spot… and the lady who was serving us was super super sweet. I ordered the Southwestern Pecan French Toast and it was delicious. Perfect serving size since I was craving something sweet but not too filling and this hit the spot. Made fresh right in front of you with a hint of banana, plus the cream cheese and syrup infused pecan was delicious. I also ordered a coffee, and I love love love how it came in this super cute coffee pot that was like a French press. It served about a cup and a half worth of coffee and it was perfect. Not too strong, not weak… and I’m all about the coffee with my breakfast so this was awesommmmee. A for presentation :) The only thing was that I wish there was a little more pecans but other than that, flavor did not fall short. My boyfriend ordered the Banana Bread Pancakes and those were so delicious too. Fresh banana, whipped cream, and also the same pecan infused syrup to top it all off. Definitely a cozy little breakfast joint… I saw they served macaroons there too, but was too stuffed to order any. Maybe next time!

Small cute. Local café… Food was very good… Service was bit off… The young guy who took our order seemed a bit lost with the menu. But once we got our food… It made up for it. We tried the breakfast sandwich with potatoes and side of bacon . And the oatmeal… With a side of fresh fruit… Which by the was sweet and tasty. Over all the girls working the kitchen and counter were sweet and friendly… Will be back…

If you find yourself in Ontario and desire a very good family-owned breakfast/lunch spot that puts out some delicious fare, make your way over to Clark’s. You’re going to need to break out your Unilocal application and map it because, unfortunately, the establishment resides at an obscure locale, directly adjacent to a small movie theater. They offer both indoor seating and a cute front patio area for dining. We opted to sit outside on our breakfast visit to take in the rays before heading to a local event. To start, coffee was on our immediate agenda. Clark’s serves there coffee via a French press, something that I absolutely love having at the table. It was a lovely roast that gave us the pep we were looking for. For breakfast, I decided on the Signature Omelette($ 8) that comes with your choice of three fillings. It’s also served with potatoes or fruit. I, of coursed, dispensed with the idea of fruit(I eat enough of it during the workweek) and opted for the seasoned potatoes. All of the ingredients were flavorful and fresh. My breakfast companion chose the Classic Breakfast Sandwich($ 7). He advised that he was very happy with it. Out waitress was prompt and on point with everything. She even took time towards the end to make sure everything was to our liking, a gesture that I appreciated. Prices were more than reasonable, commensurate with what you’ll encounter in the area. So, go give this family restaurant some love.

Quaint little café located near the movie theater. Girlfriend and I ordered the red velvet pancakes and monte cristo french toast. Both were amazing and I highly recommend them to anyone looking for delicious breakfast. Has a quiet atmosphere that is perfect for a lazy weekend breakfast. Will come back soon.

so cute, so quaint, so delicious! made a visit with the bff this past weekend and had the pressed coffee. i’m a huge pressed coffee fan, so i love that clark’s has it! the bff got the special banana pudding pancakes which were DELISH!!! i got the monte cristo(my first one ever) which was also delish, as were the potatoes! i had a coconut macaroon(my first mac ever) which was light and fantastic(neeeeeeed morrrrrre!!)! the service was lacking, but i think the gal on shift was new. it wasn’t horrible at all and she was very sweet and definitely was trying… probably just needs more time to get used to the workflow. the chef was awesome… nice, asked how we were doing, thanked us for going. all in all, this place is a five out of five and i WILL return soon!

I made it a mission to finally write all my Unilocal reviews this week so imma start with Clark’s since I was just here this morning. The plaza it was in was really dead despite the movie theater but it’s not too hard to find. We got seated right away, luckily! because large groups of people started coming in after us. The atmosphere is pretty quaint and the owner was very attentive and super friendly. We quickly ordered a coffee press which was cute, but thereafter, the only problem I had was deciding what to order! red velvet pancakes?! what?! Anyway, I opted for the pecan french toast($ 4.50! good deal) and my bf ordered an omelet. You can pretty much watch them make your food fresh to order, which slows down service when it’s busy. My french toast didn’t come with all the pecans I was imagining(from other Unilocal pics) but it didn’t lack in flavor. yum! it came with a citrus whipped topping which cut into the sweetness of the syrup. yum! yum! The omelet was ordinary but I still couldn’t stop myself from sneaking my fork onto his plate. Decent meal at a decent price. And make sure you grab a macaron on your way out. Can’t wait to come back to try their lunch items.

This is a cute little hidden gem of a café. We stopped by at 9:30 am on Saturday morning. Café was empty, probably because of the rest of the area(movie theaters) was closed. The wait staff was very friendly. Food came out very quickly. Ambiance was great. I had the red velvet pancakes with bacon, potatoes, and two sunny side up eggs. The red velvet pancakes were very tasty, and not at all too sweet. If in Ontario, I’d swing by this café again.

I’m a fan of this café. It’s located in a convenient shopping center by a movie theater. The interior is very girly and cute and all of the employees working at the time were women. I ordered an avocado chicken sandwich and it was scrumptious! The chicken was grilled and slightly crisp on the outside and the avocado was fresh and delicious. I also ordered a green salad with a side of balsamic vinaigrette which was also good. They were very accommodating with my specific requests to put the onions on the side and include light dressing. Plus, my sandwich and salad were only $ 8. Overall, I was very pleased with my dining experience here and I would definitely return. Tip: Check in on Unilocal to get a free soft drink!

What a hidden gem! Can’t believe we found this place in Montclair right off the 10 freeway. +5 star service +Cute and girlie décor. Love the Tiffany blue and black color scheme and the crystal chandeliers everywhere +Yummy brunch(red velvet waffles!) +They were happy to do individual checks for us +All of us averaged a check of $ 9 to $ 12 dollars even though we ordered food and drinks. CHEAP! –Coffee was too light, it tasted kind of watery –Slow service but they are making everything from scratch –Small venue, definitely more of a small date spot or brunch with just another girlfriend

LOVELOVELOVE this place. Been here twice and the same guy served and cooked our food; he might as well be clark. First time I came here; had the red velvet pancakes and my boyfriend had the french toast combo, everything was delicious. Came back for a signature omelet; the potatoes are perfectly seasoned had my mouth all watery just Unilocaling about it. Tried the macarons and ehh they’re not that great. This is a must visit spot everytime we’re in town to visit the boyfriend’s family.

Average food, mediocre service, and the worst coffee I ever had. we ordered a monte cristo, a french toast combo and a press coffee. The food is no better than average chain like ihop and the coffee— so flavorless, tasted like water with sand mixed in it. Also we had ask the waitress for things like suger for the coffee, salt and pepper and knives to be brought to the table. Will not come back.

The lady friend and I decided to try a new spot and at 930AM on a Saturday we were the only people in the store. I was skeptical at first. The chef was a burly man and at first glance can look intimidating. But no worries the guy takes care of you and cooked our breakfast to perfection. I ordered the Classic Breakfast Sandwich. You have your usual variety of breakfast meat and bread to choose between. I ordered mine with sausage on wheat. Also included is your choice of potatoes or fruit. Let me tell you about this sandwich, it was the perfect ratio of bread to egg to cheese to spread. And the potatoes have a great toasty texture and sauteed with peppers and onions for extra flavor. The lady friend ordered the Sweet and Savory breakfast. Your choices are between buttermilk and red velvet, fruit and potatoes, and your style of egg. The pancakes have the perfect amount of fluff with just enough crunch on the edges. The eggs and potatoes were perfect as well. I have now stopped to eat here three time in the past three weeks because I can’t get enough. And I honestly don’t think you can find a better bang for the buck, breakfast-wise, anywhere else in the area.

I caved and tried the Red Velvet Pancakes — yum! If they offered cream cheese as a condiment, I would definitely add a star!
