I really like blaze pizza its a really cool concept. I love the unlimited toppings, build your own pizza, and get a gourmet pizza under 5 mins. If this was the first time I went here I would have probably gave it 5 stars. However after my 5th or 6th time. I can’t give it that. My biggest problem here is cross contamination. If you are allergic to something, or a vegetarian this is not the place to go. Its kinda chipotle style but chipotle uses scoops to get your ingredients out. Here they just wear gloves. So example, someone gets bacon bits, and maybe 1 or 2 bits get stuck on the glove, next person gets cheese and those bacon bits fall into the cheese, after that person you come even tho you might ask them to change gloves you might get bacon on your pizza. So what they should do is use scoops, and maybe change gloves every pizza. The counter tops of where they made the pizza were extremely dirty with ingredients. I could also see different ingredients have fallen into different bins. Lastly they use the same pizza roller to cut all the pizzas. So that nice pepperoni pizza the person got before you might end up on your vegetarian pizza. Unless you ask for a different roller. Also after eating blaze this last time. I’ve had pretty bad stomach pains. For all these reason I gave them 2 stars. If they some how manage cross contamination, I have no problem giving them 4 or 5 stars

Disgusting soggy pizza, raw and chewy crust. Disinterested employees also got the order wrong. They put my spicy sauce with my wife’s toppings(she HATES spicy food), and her wimpy sauce with my toppings. They also had to be told THREE times the order was to go before they put them in boxes. This is by far the grossest pizza I’ve eaten and that includes frozen ones. I think I may gag.

Surprise, surprise. Fast-food service with restaurant quality pizzas! You can either choose a Signature Pizza or make your own, which I’m a huge fan of. I wanted to pick some toppings of my own but when it was finally my turn to build my pizza, I froze! There were such a great variety, who wouldn’t be overwhelmed. In the end, I went with the regular crust(they also have gluten free!), classic red sauce, shredded mozzarella and ricotta cheeses, salame, mushrooms and chopped garlic, a little oregano on top and finito! The pizza only takes a couple of minutes, and then it’s brought out to you nice and hot. To me, its the perfect personal size pizza. I was starving, so I practically finished the whole thing but, it could probably serve at leftovers. The best part of the whole thing-you can add all the toppings you want and the price is just the same, $ 7.95 + tax. Kind of hard to come by these days so, kudos. There’s plenty of seating, so this will definitely be in my rotation for a quick dinner out and even for pick-up.

Just upgraded my review to 5 stars! I love the pizza here. I’ve been here 3 times in 2 weeks. It’s outstanding every time! Think a make your own salad place but for pizza. Awesome! They also have a selection of signature pizzas if you are not in the mood to select your toppings. Cheap and great! I had a gluten free pizza and the crust was really thin, but it’s still a 5 star pizza. Highly, highly recommended.

Really great concept. The taste is really good too! Love their sauce A LOT and the crust is perfect as well. The only down side is that I don’t think the veggies get«cooked» enough in the 180 seconds they stick this in the brick oven. So that would be my only negative. Otherwise the price, quality, and service for this place is great!

I don’t give 5 stars on Unilocal lightly, but this place is AWESOME. I came for lunch based on all the good reviews, and it didn’t disappoint. I will be back! Will investigate if there are locations where I live in Atlanta. I LOVED the make your own pizza for $ 7.85– such a good deal. FOOD: I made my own pizza, and put half the toppings that were available on it. The quality of toppings and variety and quite good! They have shredded mozzarella, Gorgonzola, fresh mozzarella, Parmesan, goat cheese, just to name a few(get Gorgonzola or goat cheese, omgz so good). Basil, spinach, tomatoes, mushrooms, variety of meats, so many options. I wish I tried the blood orange lemonade, it looked good! SERVICE: They make your pizza for you, but it’s self serve otherwise, which is my favorite kind of dining. The people are super nice, friendly, and we’re really patient with me when I put a ton of toppings asking for a little bit of various things. AMBIANCE: It’s a really nice space, but casual. High ceilings, a large photo when you first walk in(I love big art), simple but nice décor! Good amount of tables, well dispersed. Not too crowded or too loud(but I went on a weekday at 2). TIPS: Get hungry. Can do half and half pizza if you want for no extra charge!

You can say it’s a «fake» pizza, but who cares if it’s good? I think it more than makes up with its offerings. Choosing your own ingredients for YOUR pizza? TAKEMYMONEY. Price is reasonable as well, and portion is good enough. If you like spicy food, try spicy tomato base and that will change your views on pizza. Yeah– your whole life was a lie and you can have a spicy pizza from now on.

This is probably the 7th time I have been to a blaze fast fired pizza location in the span of a year, and everytime I’m amazed at how good this pizza is! As commercialized as this experience is,(think chipotle if you will) I’m still impressed with it! You go thru the necessary steps of giving your name and selection of pizza, then pick all your toppings and watch as its being made before you very eyes. Then watch it even go into and cook in the pizza oven for about 180 seconds. Just amazes me every time how good the pizza actually is. I mean who cooks a pizza in 3 minutes, and a great one at that? Regardless, I fancy this over delivery pizza just for the shear fact that they have sooooo many topping choices, and for $ 7.65 per pie its quite affordable and more then enough to fill the belly at the same time. Blaze, you have fan for life

My wife and I were looking for something different rather than eating at the food court at the Garden State Plaza. Unilocal to the rescue! Five minutes away was Blaze Pizza and I’m so happy we found this place. I saw a few reviews calling it the Subway of Pizza, and I would say that’s a fair analogy. They have signature pizzas you can order, but the best thing there in my opinion was the Build Your Own Pizza option. For $ 8 you can choose however many toppings you want. My wife and I have different pallets so this was prefect. My Pizza: Spicy tomato sauce, mozz and parm cheese, sausage, bacon, jalapenos, sauteed onions, roasted garlic, and oregeno. Wife’s Pizza: Traditional sauce, mozz cheese, spinach, tomatoes, mushroom, peppers, and a drizzle of bbq sauce. They put the pizza in a fire oven and by the time we got our drinks and sat down the pizzas were done. The pizzas were fantastic. The crust was thin and crispy; perfectly cooked. Servers were very welcoming and friendly. We would definitely go again.

Blaze joins the likes of Chipotle and Subway for fast casual restaurants where you customize your own food. Here, you can either get one of the preconfigured options from the menu or go for the full customizable build it yourself option and select from a ton of topping options. There are four types of sauce, multiple cheeses, a bunch of meats like bacon, pepperoni, sausage, and chicken, and a ton of veggies. Add as much as you’d like but be warned the pizzas are pretty filling regardless. Pizzas are fired up in the oven in about three minutes and can be taken to go if desired. They also have several salads and desserts in the menu. Very tasty option that is even better after you make it yourself.

I called in for take out and ordered a simple pie. It was a Sunday night and I walked straight to the cashier’s and I thought it would be ready but I guess not because I waited 5 minutes for my pie. Before they placed it in the oven, they asked if I wanted Salt and oregano on it… I said sure… but never again will I add salt to it. The pizza was nice and crispy and that’s the reason why I gave it 2 stars but the service was not friendly at all. I asked what was in the glass container by the register and the pizza maker said«pies». I had to Unilocal and look at photos and noticed they were smores which they throw in the oven to make it nice and gooey. Place a sign on the glass container so customers know what it is instead of getting a nasty reply from a worker. I wouldn’t go back here but my experience in Willowbrook Mall was soooo much better!

Can we say genius! I would love to shake the hand of the man/woman who came up with this concept! My husband and I stopped in for a late/quick dinner last night. It was our first time here, but it was easy to figure out. Basically you have two options, you can 1. Build your own pizza, or 2. Choose one of their signature pizzas, they have about 8 to choose from. It’s like being in art class, you start off with a blank canvas and can literally add anything and everything all for one price! They have three sauces to choose from, various cheeses, meats, veggies, etc! There’s something for everyone! Best part, your pizza is fully cooked and ready to enjoy in under three minutes! That’s one hot fire! Not into pizza?! Have no fear, they do have some pre made salads for you! They also offer a gluten free dough substitution for a small added charge. Very reasonably priced, friendly/efficient staff, very clean, lots of tables! Go ahead, check it out for yourself! Enjoy!

The mister has been wanting to try this place out for a while since he heard that Lebron has started endorsing them, not to mention that they have gluten free options. Upon a precursory glance, Blaze reminded me of marriage of Chipotle and Subway specializing in pizza at amazing prices. Blaze has several different pizza options — they have the build your own with unlimited toppings for just $ 7.65(!!!), premade pies, salads, etc. For those who are gluten sensitive they have the option of gluten crusts for an additional $ 3, the workers even offered to change their gloves in case you were worried about gluten contamination! Of course I wanted to build my own pizza. Starting with the crust, that came out of this stamping machine thing that creates the perfect thin crust each time. There were 3 different options for sauce — white cream, spicy red or classic, next came the cheese choices ranging from the traditional mozzarella in both shredded and blob form, to gorgonzola, parmesan or feta and even vegan cheese. They also had a slew of different meats and vegetables that you could pile on. My pizza was delicious, I am still amazed by the heartiness of it costing me less than $ 10! I was too full from my own pizza to try the gluten free, the crust was great at first, but after a while it started to fall apart a bit — which is understandable and not too surprising. Overall, I was very impressed with everything. A big shout out to the staff, they had it dialed down and worked like an well oiled machine. They had one person manning the crusts, another taking orders and alternates throughout the different processes of creating the pizzas. I especially appreciated the time and care that each of the workers put into making the pizza, instead of just throwing everything on top of the pizza they took time to make sure that the sauces were spread evenly and that the toppings were beautifully and artfully places on the pie.

This was my first time(and probably last time) at a Blaze Pizza. I was really excited to try this place out because I love the concept, and I had tried out &Pizza in the Washington, D.C. area which offers the exact same Chipotle-style pizza experience. Unfortunately, Blaze was pretty disappointing for me. They have a decent selection of ingredients, but still not quite as large as I had hoped(no eggs, no shrimp, and only 3 finishing sauces/oils). They were quick and efficient, but the whole experience fell flat for me. I wanted to try their gluten-free crust(which costs extra). It tasted okay enough but it was more like a flat bread than an actual pizza. The crust was crisp like a cracker. I tried my husband’s pie with regular crust, which was a little better but still ultimately, more like a flat bread pizza than an actual pizza as well. I chose the regular red sauce with ham, turkey meatballs, pineapple, mushrooms, sauteed onion, mozzarella, ricotta cheese, and fresh spinach. They seemed stingy when distributing the toppings. I know they don’t want to overwhelm the pie but I received like 6 maybe 7 pieces of ham, which were 1-inch little rounds. Seriously?! Once we paid, we waited another 5 minutes for our pies to be done. Once it was ready, they called our names and cut the pies up. Strangely, no one explained that I would need to tell them prior to firing the pizza that I wanted a finishing sauce/oil or arugula. Since the pies were already sliced up, it seemed too late to ask for it. The pizza was hot and tasty, but sadly not very filling. I’m sorry to have to compare it to a chain that’s not available in NJ, but &Pizza was so filling that I almost always had 2 – 3 slices that I needed to take to-go. I seriously could have eaten another 2 – 3 more slices of a Blaze pie. The restaurant was clean and not busy the afternoon that we came by. The staff was courteous and asked if we had any questions or needed any explaining. However, their interaction with each customer was very minimal as were their explanations. It would have been nice if they had taken the extra step to see if I wanted any fresh ingredients on top like arugula or spinach, which is actually pretty delicious and refreshing on a hot pie. Overall, it was an okay experience. If you want quick and easy pizza, especially for anyone with food allergies, this might be a good option. When I ordered my gluten-free crust, they asked if it was because of preference or a food allergy. I imagine that they asked so they would know if they needed to remove their gloves after making my husband’s pie, and to keep it away from any of the other ingredients. we paid nearly $ 22.00 for two pies(one regular and one gluten-free) and a fountain soda. Cheap but still not as cheap as just ordering a pie from Dominoes or Papa John’s. They also offer salads, but if you don’t have time to create your own, you can just grab a pre-made salad from their fridge. I spotted 4 salads that looked pretty fresh.

Dun dun dun DUUNN! My updated review is here! I recently returned to Blaze for my third visit because I was in a bit of a rush and wanted something quick, cheap, and tasty. In my previous review, I praised Blaze for their awesome concept, personable staff and clean, sleek atmosphere. The only problem was, their spicy marinara was WAY too spicy. Despite my reservations about the sauce, on my last visit I built the same pizza for myself as I did the first 2 times.(Spicy marinara, shredded mozz, red onion, mushroom, zuchinni, kalamata olives, artichokes and sea salt. Can you say, killer combo?) So what’s the verdict? Drum roll, please! Perfection! The salsa picante did not set my mouth on fire, and for that, I am eternally grateful. Blaze now has a soft spot in my heart. I will return again, and maybe even try something new next time.

Maybe it’s the spoiled New Yorker in me, but I’m becoming an enormous fan of have-it-your-way meal establishments(a la Subways and Chipotle). I knew it wouldn’t be long before someone applied it to the world of pizza. There are a few signature pizzas on the menu that take the guesswork out of the ordering if the thought of assembling your own is too daunting, but as both a vegan and a picky eater, I was delighted by the vast array of pizza permutations before me. You begin with your crust(as gluten-free dough is now an option, though those with severe contact allergies should know that they use the same oven for all pizzas). Then you select your sauce(reds, white, green pesto, and oil or BBQ sauce drizzles), cheeses(there is non-dairy and — if you’re curious — it is fabulously melty and stretchy out of the oven), and then a good number of meats and veggies. The best part is, any number of toppings can be loaded atop your crust for one flat price. My first visit here led me to order a pizza with 8 toppings and, following the tip of one Unilocaler, I ordered«extra crispy», which allowed my munch masterpiece a slightly longer oven time. I was a fan as soon as my teeth crunched down on that well grilled crust. Just a few qualms — depending on when you come, the wait can be a little long. Any time you present a huge number of choices, ordering time becomes a function of hunger. On top of that, the ordering system is a little strange — they’ll take down the names of the first few customers in line and assign them a number, then return to the front of the line to begin assembling pizzas. In total, we waited about 10 or 11 minutes from the end of the line to the moment pizzas were in hand. While waiting for our pizzas, I noticed a problem with consistency as a few others came back and complained that their crusts were overly burnt. The guys behind the counter were incredibly nice about it all and offered to make them a new pizza, even allowing them to keep their overly done pizzas if they wished. If you’re in a rush, their online ordering system might be of interest to you. And just a heads up, they’re having a «Pi/Pie Day» on 3/14, offering pizzas for #3.14, which is an unbelievably good deal that is well worth the crowds that are sure to show up.

I see what the hype is all about! A group of my friends and I came in here to test out the pizza. Basically this place is like a Subway, but with pizza. For around the price of $ 7.60 you can either chose your own pizza, or chose a pizza from the menu. The pizza is individual thin crust sizes, but large enough to fill you up. I chose the create your own and did spicy sauce, mozzarella, blue cheese, and pretty much every veggie they had, chicken, and pesto. I love that they don’t charge per topping and they were pretty quick with adding my toppings and cooking the pizza. They didn’t even wince when all of my friends and I used«free pizza» coupons! The pizza itself was a little on the greasy side, but VERY tasty and filling. I think the size of it is perfect– if you’re hungry you can definitely eat the whole thing. We finished our meals by sharing their S’more desserts which they also warm up in their ovens. I thought it was a unique idea for a dessert at a place like that. We sat in the back kind of near the bathrooms(since we were a large group) and could hear the employees back there. I took off one star because one of the employees yelled«Are you taking a sh*t in there?» to another… No joke haha. I guess that’s what you can expect with employees in that age group, but maybe a manager on duty to monitor their professionalism would help? Other than that they all seemed helpful and friendly…

Surprisingly I was very impressed with this place. Staff was super friendly and greeted me with a warm smile and asked if it was my first time experience. Once I said it was my first time, they explained to me how the creation of the pizza worked. So pretty much you can choose a pizza that’s already on the menu, create your own, or stick with a simple plain one. You start out with your dough(they serve gluten free for an additional charge), then your tomato sauce, spicy was different and had such a nice kick to it, I definitely recommend that. Following cheese such as feta, blue cheese, mozzarella, and many more(vegan cheese is also available for an additional charge). Now for the best part you choose your toppings, such as mushrooms, olives, garlic, green peppers, jalapenos, spinach, arugula, pepperoni, chicken, sausage, the list goes on and on. For $ 7.65 you can’t beat that, its very filling, crispy, savory, super quick, and freaken delicious! Ingredients were superrr fresh, that was a star on its own. If you have any leftover slices, they have cute small boxes near the garbage can to pack it to go. Place is very nice, clean and very well maintained. If they keep up with everything there doing now, I can see them striving for many years to come.
