Denny’s

Very clean bathrooms. Friendly staff and servers. Decent food quality for a cheap greasy spoon. Overheard several patrons with complaints («my water doesn’t have ice in it!!»), that manager handled quickly and respectfully.

Yes, it is a Dennys. Yes, it is in Pontoon Beach, Illinois, but there should be some standards.
While the waitressess were polite enough, the food leaves much to be desired.
I ordered an omelete. After having a few bites, I cut it up into four equal sections and brought it home to use as anti-​vibration pads under my washing machine.

Stopped here without checking Unilocal,which is rare, but I’m on a long drive. Place was quiet, probably due to the bad reputation. The manager was walking the floor and the kitchen, determined to make sure everyone had a good experience. You know what? It worked. The people here seem determined to turn this place around and this was actually my best Denny’s experience ever. Give it a shot if you’re in the area.

This is place is disgusting! ! I have never been in such a dirty nasty place to eat we met people there and I couldn’t even eat! The walls were coated in grease! Filthy!

Good burger, sweet waitress who checked on me and didn’t over do it. It’s Denny’s exactly what I expected and satisfied.

This has been awhile ago but had the most un believable Experience I have ever had in a restaurant at this place and will never forget it. ordered breakfast and when the waitress brings the plate out the bacon was BLACK. I don’t mean a little over done it was burnt like cinders my first thought was this is some type of joke or something. I asked her do you really expect me to eat this and why in the world would you serve this to anyone? Her response was that the cook was pissed off about something and gave some lame excuse I sent the food back and To this day can’t hardly believe it but I swear its true needless to say haven’t been back

This Denny’s has the worst service ever.
–Rude waitresses. There’s been several times I haven’t left a tip they were that bad. We received attitude when we inconveniently asked for refills. Hello, it’s your job!
–Food quality is low. I’ve gotten sick a few times from eating here. My food has arrived cold on numerous occasions. I’d send it back, and have to wait 30 more minutes for hot food and hope the idiot waitress brings it on time.
Avoid this Denny’s by all means!

We stopped at this Denny’s after a long morning in the car for lunch. It was about one. We were hoping to find the standard Denny’s experience. We did not.

Upon entering we were greeted by the server who asked if we wanted a booth or a table, I stated booth. They sat us at the table but on the way a waitress said «Uh uh thats my section and I’m done». The hostess let her know that they’ll have to just walk over to serve us.
We were given menu’s and then we ordered. Many of the items that we ordered were not available, only we were not informed of that until after our food was delivered and what we had ordered had been substituted for something else.
My husband had coffee (long long car trip) and they never came to check to see if we needed more of anything or if he needed any more coffee.
