Best Brows In Portland

Anisa did an absolutely wonderful job on my brows today. I moved to Portland in May, and had been looking for a new esthetician for my brows. After limited success (and a few months of growing out my eyebrows), I happened upon Anisa via Unilocal.I came to the appointment with a picture of what I wanted my eyebrows to look like, believing that a verbal description would not be enough based on prior experience. Anisa gave me a quick okay, complimented the dress I was wearing in the picture, and got to work. My eyebrows are full and natural, with a beautiful arch. I couldn’t be happier with the way they turned out. After months of searching, I feel like I’ve been delivered! Thanks again, Anisa!

I saw Anisa today for a facial and brow waxing and it was wonderful! She is a very soft spoken and calm lady. Perfect for her profession! I’ve been in the beauty industry for 30 years, and she’s spot on great. She uses Pevonia products that are so good for your skin. Her cleansing and massage techniques are so relaxing! My 51 year old skin looks so dewy and supple!!! I highly recommend this lovely lady!

I am always leary of others working on my face but EVERY time I use Anisa’s services, she teaches me something new and challenges me to step outside my box. I drove 50 minutes across town in heavy traffic only to find out that my reservation did not exist. The on-​line reservation did not go through and I did not understand that without the confirmation email, I had no appointment. They tried to reach Anisa by phone but she did not answer.
Be sure that you get an email to confirm an appointment that you make on-​line. I learned the hard way.

After waiting years to have someone touch my eyebrows again due to being disappointed over and over again, I’m 110% satisfied with my brows after letting Anisa shape them. I will not go anywhere else ever again! Keep doing your great job and working miracles…

I purchased a facial/​brow shaping on Living Social and went for my appt this afternoon. I found the online scheduling system to be easy and fuss free. The salon is on the second floor of a building and I did not see an elevator… in case that is a problem. There is a large free parking lot in front so parking is not an issue. Anissa is very professional and soft spoken. She is also very talented and has been asked to be the lead makeup for the team at the next Fashion Week in New York.
I do not have too much in the way of eyebrows and was wondering what she would do with them… she was very precise with waxing and tweezing and I feel like a new woman! Her lotions and potions are light and do not feel heavy or greasy. She also did a fabulous job of deep cleaning my pores! I would recommend visiting Best Brows for waxing or facial or both!

I love this lady! I am the brow stylist that started this business back in 2003! I was not comfortable leaving Portland to start Best Brows In Manhattan until I found the right candidate for my long time clients. Because I am so particular about my eyebrows and need them to be and advertisement for me, I do not like anyone touching them! But I had to try her out. She gave my eyebrows an even better arch than I did! It was an instant lift. Once I make it back to my beloved Portland, I will definitely be in to see her! And btw, folks are paying the big bucks for what we do out here– Upwards of $ 150 per session. At $ 25 its a steal and less expensive and better shaping than cookie cutter Anastasia at Nordstroms!

I gave my wife a livingsocial certificate for the «60 minute deep cleansing facial and brow shaping». This is her review:
Anisa was prompt and professional. She washed, exfoliated, toned and moisturized my face and upper chest. She has a gentle touch and her products are soothing and gentle. She also did a good job with a little clean up on my eyebrows which didn’t need shaping.
There were a couple of things that disappointed me about my visit. First, it was a bit disconcerting to have zero contact with anyone from the salon when I made the appointment. I called the number on the certificate and got a voicemail message telling me to go to an appt-​making website, where I made my appt. I got an electroinically generated message from the appt site reminding me of the appt the day before. Not a big deal, but when I’m getting a personal service I appreciate SOME personal contact before showing up.
Second, Anisa is located in a salon in a neighborhood which is notorious for the lack of parking, plus lots of one-​way streets in different directions, which makes searching for parking, and parking, stressful. I circled in everwidening circles before I found a space, then walked back to the building. When I got there I saw that they have a parking lot. It would have been a plus had they mentioned this in their promotional material, I would have known to look for it. (I couldn’t see the parking lot when I went past because the street in front is under construction and the trucks/​equipment and signs obscure the building, the street number and the parking lot.)
My earlier feeling that this personal service was being offered in an impersonal manner continued into the shop. Anisa didn’t ask any questions about my skin, or explore for even a moment how her products might work on my skin. I don’t mean a lengthy consultation, but as someone with crazy sensitive skin I have had trouble with skin care products before and have never been to an aesthetician who didn’t ask about this before we got started. (Sometimes they use something that’s strong on just a patch of skin to test if it’s going to be okay.)
I am used to a «deep cleansing facial» including cleaning out blackheads or whiteheads, but Anisa didn’t do that.
Finally, the session was advertised as a 60 minute facial, but she finished after 40 minutes. That’s not «stopping a couple of minutes early», it’s cutting off a third of the pre-​paid session. (I would have loved it had she spent the extra twenty minutes cleaning my pores.)

Just had my first brow shaping session with Anisa and it was the best experience I’ve ever had. She listened to how I wanted them done and took her time to perfect the look. I will definitely come back for my next waxing session.

I’ve been going to Best Brows for several years. It is located in Yamane Salon close to my house. Not only is it convenient to schedule online and walk to, but I’m very happy with the results.
Anisa took over the business from Rebekah in January. They both have done my browns the way I prefer, natural with a clean arch. I have never had any skin pulled off with the wax like I have at many other places. She offers a 3 brow wax for $ 60 pre-​paid deal which is what I opt for. I’ve noticed that she offers other facial services on her website, but I haven’t tried anything else yet.

AnisaMarie is nothing short of a miracle worker on my skin! In a beautiful room, quiet and aromatic… She takes her time and waxes to perfection! Oh, and she waxes everything if ya want! She uses high end products and it doesn’t hurt that she’s a MAC Expert artist too! She knows her skin stuff! She has flexible appointment times and doesn’t do the whole ‘up-​sell’ thing, she professionally and courteously provides the services that YOU want! I’ve been going now for about 10 appointments and I won’t go anywhere else! Run your hairy butt on over to Best Brows — you’ll be glad you did!!!
