Downtown Freddie Browns #1

I feel very lucky this place is just a couple of blocks away. They are my go to place to get a real turkey sandwich. There is always plenty of meat and it is cut fresh off the turkey while you are there. Nothing processed here. You can get it either with white or dark meat; dark for me, thank you very much.
Today i having problems with a temporary crown, so I ordered the turkey and rice soup. You can smell the turkey goodness through the covering on the bowl. Now that I have tasted it, this is just good old fashioned turkey soup and I am smiling.
This is a small family run place located in Big Pink; it is worth the trip. Do not expect anything fancy here; you just get good food, which brings me to my only complaint. I wish the bread was a bit more whole wheat. Great flavor.

A small, family-​run convenience-​type breakfast and lunch shop on the first floor of the bank tower, Freddie Brown’s is a «good» bet if you want a seriously inexpensive meal on the average. Heads up: If your total is under $ 4, they charge you .50cents for running your card.
Find items such as breakfast sandwhiches (bacon, pre-​cooked real egg, american cheese, and bacon on an English muffin), a wide selection of lunch sandwhiches (they hand make them to order), bagels, and beverages.
I’m a sucker for a good breakfast, and while at Freddie’s you obviously won’t find a gourmet meal of a foodie’s dreams, it’s 10x’s better than a fast food joint or the pre-​packaged food you’d find at Starbucks. Freddie Brown’s should be appreciated for what it is.
The owners are very nice people, know the regulars by name and what they like to order, and service is very speedy.

Who puts REAL turkey on a sandwich? Freddie Browns does! The roast several turkeys every day to give you a real Thanksgiving leftovers sandwich!

An OK deli that uses store bought bread and dry turkey. Not much else can be said. Well, they are quick.

Want a fistful of meat? Good, because that’s basically what you’re getting at Freddie Browns. It’s literally like you’re eating a catcher’s mitt filled with perfect, oven roasted turkey meat. You could probably go your whole life without eating a turkey sandwich this good, because you would never guess that the most amazing turkey sandwich shop… is located inside Big Pink (US Bancorp Tower). That’s right, this place looks like your run-​of-​the-​mill corporate lunch stop, but the amount of protein packed in one of these sonsabitches says differently. My recommendation: The Thanksgiving Leftover Sandwich (whole portion on whole wheat), with a bag of chips and a large Darigold reduced fat MILK.
And don’t worry. There’s more here than just milk doin’ a body good up in here… the whole friggin’ meal does a body good!

I love this place.
Really nothing more than a counter in the lobby of Big Pink, this place roasts turkey (s) every single day.
There’s not much to their sandwiches except chunks, I mean chunks of turkey — you can ask for all white meat, too so by and large, it can be rather healthy, too.
Every now and then I order a turkey meal which comes with slices of bread, mashed potatoes (likely from a box) and gravy. Unless you like your food swimming in gravy, ask them to go light. They will goop that shit on.
Nice people. Super yummy, no-​frills lunch on the go. Cranberry sauce. Perfect.
