The burgers are small for the price, but delicious. 4.5 stars if I could. French fries are okay. The fry sauce is pretty good.

I recently moved an hour away from Portland and was on my way to PDX. Since I had some time to spare before my flight, I immediately opened my Unilocal app and started searching for food. I was craving a burger and found myself choosing Little Big Burger. This was definitely a decision I did not regret! Upon entering, I was greeted by an extremely friendly staff. The first thing you notice when you walk in is their menu. If you feel like you are one of those people who need to take a lot of time to read a menu and awkwardly stand there for 10 minutes to decide, this place does NOT have that problem. Their menu is written in a 91827491230 size font and you could probably see the menu half a block away. The menu is very simple, it includes: — Cheese Burger — Hamburger — Veggie Burger — French Fries — Fountain Soda — Rootbeer Float At the cash register they have a list of different types of cheeses you could choose to top off your cheese burger. They also list prices if you would like to add bacon(which I recommend) and if you would prefer a lettuce wrap(which is free of cost) instead of a bun. I ended up getting a(cheddar) cheese burger with bacon, french fries, and a root beer float. I sat in front of the grill and chatted with some of the employees. It was such a chill atmosphere. The cooking process is completely visible. There are no secrets to what they are doing with your meal. Within 5 minutes, my order was ready. The burger was small in size but the patty itself was pretty thick. The burger was very rich and flavor and was juicy with every bite. Just writing about it makes me want to get another one. The TRUFFLE french fries were so bomb and the portion is huge! The fry sauce that came with my meal is orange in color. If you have ever ate at In-N-Out, it taste similar to the spread they put on their animal style fries. It was so delicious. I even added some of the fry sauce on my burger. The root beer float was amazing. I ordered it despite the fact that it was almost 30 degrees outside. It was worth it. I would definitely recommend this place! It is a bit pricey but the quality of food, staff, cleanliness, etc. is worth the money.

I love Little Big Burger, but this one is super inconsistent relative to the others. We ordered our burgers medium, and if they came over cooked, as well done. Additionally, The cheese was not melted, and the bun was cold. These three things all rolled into one burger is a bizarre experience. Usually One order of fries is more than enough for two people, but this was barely a personal sized serving. Additionally, it lacked in the truffle oil flavor I’ve come to be fond of. Then, when I asked for ketchup and fry sauce bottles, I was directed to the small to-go containers. Wut? I did eventually get bottles, but it was weird. Next time I’ll drive out to the pearl despite its long lines and cramped seating area.

WTFLBB?!? Open daily until 10pm my ass. 8:55pm and the doors are locked with a bearded bloke behind the register counting cash. 3 patrons eating inside including an old Asian woman looking confused. I guess the cotton in all their ears muffles my wasted attempt at knocking on their lame door. I wonder how many fecal spores are growing in his hipster beard.

The service was comparable to ordering from a fast food comedy skit and the chef was bored of life and made me aware of it as I picked up the food. The burger is ok, but at least it’s from a grill and not a microwave. I wouldn’t recommend it because the food is average, the staff should consist of people who know how to put on a smile, and there are other options to explore in the area besides eating a regular burger.

I really like the burgers and fries. But the customer service sucks! I got 2 burgers and a fry a few weeks ago. When I got home we realized there was no fry in the bag. We tried calling but the line was busy. So I figured I talk to them next time. Well, I just went and got the same order and told them about paying for a fry but not getting any last time. I totally expected them to say«oh, sorry don’t worry about this fry, since u already paid for it basically» I was wrong. The guy was like, I can’t do anything about that. No sorry, no free fry(which would not have actually been free since I paid last time) just nothing. He was acting like I was trying to get free food. Crazy! So I was too tired to argue and just gave up. But that really suck Little Big Burger! Sucks!

I was on my way to Subway to get a quick bit as I had forgotten my lunch. I wasn’t too excited about this prospect as i only chose this option because I know the menu and wasn’t in the mood to explore the local food trucks. While walking to get my sandwich I came across Little Big Burger. I had remembered seeing some reviews in the past for this place but never got the chance to try it out. I did not really want a burger when I set out on my quest for sustenance, but the look of the place was inviting and I was drawn in my there large menu with cheap prices posted on the wall and visible from the street. I had remembered from the past review I read that the burgers are not very big, as the name of the place suggests, and since I am not a huge fan of french fries, I order two burgers. One with pepper jack cheese and one with Swiss. I thought that the burgers had a very good flavor. You could tell they used quality meet and the other ingredients on the sandwich were of good quality. I was also right in ordering two, since one would definitely not have been enough. My biggest gripe would be with the buns. While tasty, they were a tad bit dry and I found myself dipping the edges of the burger in their fry sauce(which was pretty delicious by the way). My other small gripe is the size of the burgers. I know, I know, it says it in the name. But since I had to have two to be satisfied, the cheap prices ended up costing me the same as getting a regular sized burger at a different spot. This small complaint, however, will not deter me from visiting this place again.

I love little big burger, but this location NEVER wants to answer the phone. They close early, and they especially don’t answer within the last 30 minutes of being open. Might as well have a sign that says«last order at 9:15» «no call-ins». Smfh. Like they don’t have a built in population of people WHOLIVEABOVETHEM. I’ll post a pic of the most recent culprit of poor service. They were in there playing with balloons, it’s now 9:59 as I finish this. They«close at 10». #MiddleFinger

Little Big Burger was sold. Went in today and they had their A team working. This was the best burger I’ve had here. Im not sure if it is because of the new ownership or not… Time will tell. The burger was perfectly seasoned, cooked and the condiments were actually arranged evenly on the burger so you got that same great taste in every bite. I hope it stays consistent. Thanks LBB! 2015-106

Burger chain in portland. Size of burger has shrank through the years but still tasty. Used to be called truffle fries now just called regular french fries but still with hint of truffle. The basics(see menu).

RUDE!!! I wouldn’t eat here again. Food is decent, but the staff is horrible. We had 9 people. Bill would have been at least $ 75-$ 100. The worker that was going to take our order was the rudest restaurant worker I’ve ever experienced. I was shocked. We tried to order some items for our kids, and he told us no. Even though we had already spoken with the cook and he had agreed to make some kid friendly items. We waited in line for 15 minutes, and to have that worker say they wouldn’t make us kid friendly food was insane. Won’t be returning.

Great little burger place. Only 6 items on the menu help me get started. Burgers are small, top quality. I got goat cheese and it came with spicy catsup(ketchup?). Great fries too. We were just passing through town and glad we stopped.

What happened to this place? When they first opened here in Portland, they were amazing but I have been progressively disappointed with every visit. It’s not just the food but customer service is so bad. I’ve been to this location a few times and the indifference with the way they take orders and serve people is incredible. If all you want is an OK burger and not willing to leave the neighborhood, it will do but with so many new places coming to this neighborhood, I’m waiting for something better.

I used to live in the S Waterfront area and was excited when this location opened. It’s never been the«best» burger I’ve ever had, but I liked the fact that I could have blue cheese AND cheddar on my burger. I usually get my fries without the truffle oil… just not my thing(tastes like burning tires to me). Have never been too disappointed though… until yesterday. My friend and I met here for lunch before an appointment. We both ordered a cheeseburger and fries. My burger was relatively cold and didn’t have very much flavor at all. In addition, the meat was pretty rare. I’m no stranger to a rare steak or burger on occasion, but could not rectify the fact that this just didn’t taste right. I probably should have asked them to cook me a new one, but again, had never had an issue with rare meat and I was in a hurry to get to my appointment. Also the fries were cold and dry, even though we ate our food immediately. Guess what? I got food poisoning!!! Yep, that’s right! 4 hours of stabbing stomach pains and severe diarrhea. I’m positive it was from this meal, because I didn’t eat anything last night. Just to confirm, I asked my friend if she got sick; and, sure enough, she had some bathroom issues after lunch as well. I will NEVER eat here again… Killer Burger is the only way to go! P. S. For the record, while the food has been relatively edible in the past, the staff has NEVER been friendly or customer-service oriented in any way. Yesterday was no exception!

Ordered a veggie burger for $ 4 and am super bummed. Bun and condiments were ice cold as well as the cheese(25 cents) while the burger(a tiny patty about as appetizing as a hockey puck) was boiling hot, burned my mouth! Never again.

This place has a nickname in my friend circle now: Little B*tch Burger. Portland can lean towards the pretentious side in certain circles-but these guys take home the crown. I had been to another location and ordered their veggie burger and was horribly underwhelmed. It tasted like an oatmeal cookie-no joke. So I figured this time I’d just skip the veggie burger and order a «grilled cheese». I told them I was vegetarian, in hope to gain some Portland sympathy, and explained that I had tried the veggie burger and wasn’t too fond of it. I asked if I could pay for a burger, but have them leave off the patty. The guy at the register said he’d have to ask the«chef» if they could do that. He walked over and asked the guy working the grill who glared over at us and just shook his head furiously«no». Seriously? You can’t put a damn piece of cheese on a piece of bread and charge me $ 5?! I’m a fool to pay that much-but totally willing to do it to be able to eat with my friends. I pleaded once more saying they could even just make it cold-I didn’t expect them to fry up some fancy grilled cheese. Nope-they said couldn’t help me. They are lucky there is so few options in this part of town(and that their truffle fries are basically crack) because I doubt they’d be as busy by treating people so bad.

Great place to grab a quick bite to eat and have a beer. Only been there a few times but the staff is always friendly and restaurant is always clean. I don’t see why people complain about the staff or the price, the burgers are suppose to be small it’s the concept of the restaurant, hints the name. Pretty good selection of beer, it’s all in cans, no big deal for me beer is beer wether in bottles or cans. The fries are pretty awesome also good with the fry sauce and ketchup. There is a park across the street, great in the spring/summer time to eat lunch and people watch.

Little big burger, do they train the employees to be a-holes? The food is good but the service is garbage, every time I go there it’s the same thing, the employees have attitude and act like they are better than everyone. If this review were purely based on food I’d probably go 4 stars, but I feel it’s a bit overpriced for what it is and that with along with the attitude of the employees bumps it down a star. Fry sauce is a plus, the burgers are pretty small for 4.25 per… Anyway, if management happens to read this, tell your employees they’re no better than anyone else, step up the service.

Nice, fairly consistent products available. Basic menu so it’s hard to jump too far off track. Last experience was really great, the same employee took my order and remembered everything I «special requested» for the order. Pro tip — you can ask for a lettuce wrapped patty if you’re in that kind of mood. I don’t love hamburger buns so sometimes I’ll go this route. Other tips– OK to order well-done OK to ask for things to be removed or added Credit /debit OK Those last two were really only tips for Seattle folk that might be more accustomed to Dick’s Drive In. Then again, Dick’s is always open when it says it is. I’ve popped by this LBB once when it should’ve been open and it was 100% dark. Not sure what that was about.
