Wow! What a fantastic surprise to find Caribbean haute cuisine on commercial street P-town. We went for dinner here after reading the menu on the street. Although it is unassuming from Commercial St. The Caribbean Corner Café has great atmosphere, and beach views in the rear dining room. Now to the food.. .Get the tostones(fried salted plantains) I could eat an entire meal of this appetizer! For our meal we shared chicken tacos(awesome) and the Caribbean pork(delicious). The next surprise of the meal was our drink. The fresh squeezed lemonade is made with raw cane sugar, and has a slight(almost spicy) flavor.

Gorgeous view! I came for lunch right before heading home. I got the impression they did not serve booze, but I was pleasantly surprised to find they had a full bar. Wish I would have come one of the nights I was in town for some fun tropical drinks. I did have a watermelon juice. It was a bit too sweet, but still pretty good. I was pleased that vegetarian and vegan options were clearly labeled though the vegan options were somewhat limited. My boyfriend got the vegan burger(made from seasoned shredded plantains) and I got the vegan arepa(flatbread sandwich with shredded plantains and veggies). Mine was a bit bland and could have used some type of sauce. The vegan burger was delicious, so I ended up eating half of his sandwich. If I had only got the arepa, I would have been disappointed.

We started with the tostones and they were excellent. They reminded me of polenta, in chunks, with a great sauce over the top. I got the vegan tacos and they were excellent thanks to the tasty plaintain mixture and the same sauce from the tostones over the top. The rice and bean mixture was well seasoned and quite tasty. My wife ordered the vegan arepa and it was just ok, mostly because it was lacking the Guasacaca sauce, making it a bit dry and flavorless. If were weren’t in such a hurry she would have asked for a side of sauce to make it a great lunch. The limeade was not sour enough for my liking, but the molasses taste from the raw, brown sugar was a nice change from the usual. All in all, I really enjoyed the unique, reasonably priced food with an ocean view in a restaurant that is eager to make vegetarians and omnivores happy.

My family and I love the Caribbean Corner Café! My little sister always gets the chicken and onions and my mother thinks Susana’s chicken curry is great. I was really impressed with the vegan tacos! The tostadas and homemade juices, iced tea, and lemonade are so wonderful. Plus the wait staff is so nice and enthusiastic about the food!

OK. Here’s where I insult the Unilocalers below me. Anyone who would give homemade, organic, Latin food dense with flavor, rich with texture, and friendly service in a clean atmosphere with an ocean view less than 4 stars is an a-hole. If you like unprocessed, fresh, handmade foods, with vegan, vegetarian, and gluten free options, this is the best choice on the Commercial St. strip. Any restaurant that can make an eggplant taco taste good without adding bacon, or some other unhealthy ingredient is talented. What’s more, their to-go packaging is eco-friendly. 3 stars because u were served chips with your delicious meal is ludicrous and irresponsible Unilocaling. Pluease! If you’re wondering if you should eat here, do it. The food, drinks, and service are excellent, superseding ANY Latin American meal you could find in Latino populated Chelsea, Lowell, Lawrence, Lynn, or Haverhill. Seriously. Better might only be made in an abuelita’s magic, love kitchen. If you’re unlucky and don’t know of such a woman, The Triple C is flavorful and satisfying, sit down or take out. Entrada.

Good tasting food, unusual Caribbean food with lots of options for vegetarians. I had the veggie burger which is made with shaved plaintains. Delicious with the homemade red pepper hummus. Unfortunately, it comes with a bag of Frito Lay Fritos or potato chips. Weird in a sit-down restaurant with linen table cloths and napkins. The waitress said she checked with the kitchen and that there was no option for having a small side salad with my burger. Weird… I mean, every restaurant everywhere has a salad as a side item. So, good food, nice service, but a bit strange. The kids at the next table also made it a little noisy and not good for a quiet dinner… but that’s not that unusual. So, okay experience… good food.

My wife and I decided to stop in for lunch on a Saturday afternoon. The place is very clean and rather large inside. The menu is good with a nice selection of fresh juices. I had a pepito de carne sandwich which was fantastic! On the other hand i was kind of taken aback by the fact that they served this great sandwich with a little bag of Frito Lay«Fritos» The wife’s Arepe was pretty good but we were hoping for traditional farmers cheese and only had Chedder and Gouda as an option. The service was very good.

Vegetarians, vegans, folks with wheat allergies, and people who just love some delicious Latin food rejoice! So many wonderful options for everyone. Caribbean Corner Café in Provincetown serves up some truly rockin’, unique, tasty food that goes incredibly well with a nice cocktail. I tried the Venezuelan Taco plate, and chose the vegan option($ 9.95), which includes a side of black beans and rice. I was skeptical of how interesting it could possible be, and was pretty thrilled with my dinner and experience. The staff is great, the food is delicious, the restaurant has a beautiful ocean view… what more could you want? The Venezuelan Tacos were unlike anything I’ve ever eat, and definitely not your boring, store-bought tortillas – these were seriously awesome. The homemade soft corn tortillas are thick, have a lovely texture, and were quite delightful. For once, something that promised to be homemade clearly was. The vegan tacos are stuffed with diced tomatoes, romaine lettuce, Guasacaca sauce(made from bell peppers, onions, garlic, and fresh herbs), and a small assortment of chopped veggies. When I asked for a side of hot sauce, the staff member asked, «Do you want hot or do you want death?» I choose death, which had a great flavor, but, as it turns out, if you like your food as hot as I do, death benefits from some Tabasco. Awesome place all around! I would eat here regularly if I lived in glorious Ptown.
