Love this place! It’s directly across the street from my work. The food is always great! I can’t quite understand the bad reviews. I always leave nothing but happy after dining here. Personally, I like to sit at the bar and enjoy a frozen margarita while waiting for my food. I’ve tried the Tacos, a burrito and enchiladas. I would say the Enchiladas are my favorite although everything is good! The wait staff is very welcoming, nice and professional! What more could you ask for! Check this place out! I promise you will not be disappointed!

Unfortunately I won’t be back… a co-worker and I came here on our lunch break and we were really disappointed. Chips that came before the meal were completely stale and my italian soda had no crème… yuck! I ordered the taco salad without cheese and she ordered a tostada. My meal had no flavor at all and had cheese all over the bottom of the bowl. Her tostada was completely soggy and also had no flavor. :(

Best margaritas in the Sacramento area, hands down! Excellent friendly and personal service. Carnitas here are done right! I visit at least once a week. Oh, and for anyone taking the Six Week Challenge at Results Transformation Center in the same parking lot, Salsa Fresca makes a fabulous diet-friendly menu item called «Challenger»!

I don’t usually take the time to write a review, but I just had to let all of you know how wonderful this restaurant is! The owner «Richardo» has worked so hard to create this wonderful place that we can all go and not only enjoy each other but also enjoy the best Mexican food in the area. We started going to Salsa Fresca around ten years ago, but due to life changes we had been away for a couple of years. Well as fate would have it I returned the other day just to find that the service continues to be wonderful but more importantly the food is the best you can find in Sacramento. We definitely love the Verde choices and also anything mole’. I should also mention they have the best Margaritas ever! If you want to enjoy wonderful Mexican food this is your place!

I used to come here for lunch, once a week 4+ years ago. I got sick from their dinner 4 years ago and hadn’t been back since. I decided it’s been long enough and gave them a try again last night. I had the beef taco plate with beans and rice. The beef, beans and rice tasted not so fresh and I didn’t feel to great in the middle of the night. If you eat here, only eat lunch as this is when they make their food.

I grew up in San Antonio going to Mexican restaurants like Salsa Fresca, and this place doesn’t disappoint. The staff is friendly, the food is authentic and all in all, it’s one of my favorite restaurants in Sacramento. I love the burrito bowls, they do carnitas REALLY well here and the guacamole is exceptionally good. Great atmosphere and the salsa is good as well. As a South Texas native, I’d definitely recommend giving it a try.

We stopped here on the way to Mather Airfield, absolutely love the food and haven’t been able to find anything like it where we live in Danville (hour and a half away. Love their food and definitely coming back.

Do not come here! This place is called Salsa Fresca, yet there so called salsa is absolutely disgusting; it’s nothing more than tomato paste out of a can. I ordered two crispy tacos WITHOUT rice and beans for $ 10.25 and I got a pool of grease with lettuce! My fiancé got the same two crispy taco plate WITH rice and beans for $ 10.45. I cannot wrap my head around that! Anyway, if you want real authentic Mexican food go one block down to Cruz!

Honestly there’s nothing exceptional about this place, it’s just consistent with service and flavor. I love to sit outside with a beer, cochinita, and extra tortillas. Salsa is a little watery, servers are a little slow, but nice. I’ve been going here for several years about once every two weeks. They have gotten a little sloppy in the last two years– I now have to call ahead to make sure the cochinita is available. Ask for the hot salsa it’s fresh and thicker.

Just had the poorest excuse for «chicken taco salad» made with iceberg lettuce, no dressing to speak of scattered with a few tiny pieces of chicken. All for $ 11.95. My brother had. Fish taco «horrible». Fish was not fresh. And then the tortilla chips were stale. Save your money and don’ t bother.

Prices super high for tacos, the meat had no flavor. Sauce was just well tasted like tomatoes only :/not impressed at all. The salad on the tacos, u can buy at the store pre made ummm ok I can do this too with less money. Not going back

Stopped in 30 minutes before closing for take out. Service was friendly at the bar where we ordered a drink and ate the complimentary chips and salsa while we waited for our food to go. The vegetarian burrito had more veggies than you typically find in the sacramento area and the carnitas tacos were good.

There time online says they close at 9 no they close at 830 so I arrive at 815 and there breathing down my back saying we’re closing the kitchen what are you ordering so rude! Then they are rushing me the whole time! Drinks are expensive cost more then the meal itself!

Had the fish taco lunch special. Pretty good, the taco was loaded and the rice and beans were good. Wish they had a la cart street tacos though. Street tacos are 4 for $ 11 and they all have to be the same meat choice. The customer service was nice.
