Great little hidden gem at the intersection of Broadway in downtown Redwood City. I ordered their Breakfast Torta with an Americano and you can truly taste the quality. Freshly baked buttery brioche bun, with savory chorizo, scrambled eggs, avocado, crema, cheese, and cilantro was exceptional. The menu is small, however packed with goodness. Really tiny location, so seating is limited(4 or 5 seats, Most orders appear to be «to-go»). Will absolutely be returning when I need a breakfast pick me up whilst in RWC.

Super good food. The menu is as small as the restaurant itself, as they obviously know what they’re good at and stick to it — more restaurants should follow this philosophy. I’ve had the breakfast torta and the grain salad(quinoa, farro, shredded brussel sprouts, cranberries, feta, lemony dressing), both of which were superb. I guess if I had to have a complaint, it would be that the cost of the salad was a bit too much for the serving size.

This will be my new go to spot. The blueberry scones are fantastical and the service is quick, friendly and unpretentious.

Small place with delicious food and warm, friendly people. Stopped here with my daughter and her family. I had the poached egg. It came in a small, unassuming cup. Wow! Was I surprised and delighted. It will be hard for me to try anything else, except that my grandson(11) had«the best hamburger ever» so I may have to try that sometime. Not much room for sitting inside but go anyway. Eat standing up, if you have to! BTW it is just across the street from the CalTrain stop at Redwood City.

Wow! What a gem. Very simple menu but everything served is thoughtful and very very tasty. I had egg florentine sandwich and ordered it on the house made torta bread, which was wonderfully chewy, eggy, and soft. The baked goods looked amazing. Just minus one star for the awkward seating area, I think there are better ways to set up that space.

Now that’s a tasty burger!!! Fresh ingredients with masterful execution. I really enjoyed how the taste of the natural ingredients shined through and meat was cooked perfectly medium rare. And God damn that bun was the truth.

Try the cinnamon rolls and breakfast sandwich. Not much room to sit down, but the food and people/service are worth stopping by. It’s right across Broadway from the redwood city Caltrain station so super convenient for commuters. Check it out. You’ll be glad you did. :)

I’m a 5 star or 1 star kinda guy. Take my review with a grain of salt; but in my humble opinion this place is the shit! Kristi Marie and her staff are fantastic! The intention and planning clearly come through in the end product. I hate my daily grind but I love hopping of the train and stopping here. If I could give a sixth star I would. Kristi and her crew are awesome.

Tried to serve us raw egg as poached egg, 12 Oz sodas were way too expensive, cinnamon rolls were fine. All way too expensive for as little as it was.

Fresh juices, coffee, breakfast to go etc, Christi use high quality. You can taste love in the food. I love everything I have ate there. I usually don’t eat burger during the day or working hour. Because it either shut me down for day. Christi Marie burger clean is so tasty and I function beautifully. Also the breakfast eggs and sausage is ooweee. Thank you for all you do! Would you put cheap gas in lamborghini?!

Sooo dope. Lost & meandering vaguely towards the Pacific Shores shuttle, I found this oasis by following the warming sounds of Watch the Throne. Dope sandwich, great atmosphere, and an awesome way to start your day off right provided you can allot the time mid-commute

Wow this place is precious! Maybe the best cup of drip I’ve ever had. This is a great place to get breakfast before catching the train, the pastries are made in house and the people working are warm and inviting. This is for sure my new coffee place!

Came here with a friend for lunch today. Happy surprise that the parking meters are 25 cents per hour, wow… Kristi Marie is located at the intersection of Broadway of Arguello, which is also very close to the caltrain station, location is golden. The wall painting outside of the building is very nice. There are 3 table along the outside of their store, which reminds me of some petite café in France. Anyhow, the lady at the counter, I believe that’s Kristi after reading the review when I get home, was very friendly. She recommended the pulled pork sandwich which isn’t on the menu. We also had the burger. The pulled pork was very tender and the sauce was just right. The burger was amazing, especially the onion bacon marmalade. I ended up getting two more pastry for tomorrow’s breakfast. I forgot the name, they had the onion bacon marmalade on top too. Looking forward to my breakfast tomorrow!

My wife had been gushing about this place for a month, and I finally found myself near KM’s on a morning, last week. I walked in and was greeted warmly. I asked«what’s good?» and they suggested the Torta Chorizo Breakfast Sandwich. I ordered that, and a kale, almond and banana smoothie. I started in on the smoothie, which tasted like I had just made it myself. Very fresh, balanced and delicious. I took the Torta to-go and walked to my car to eat it before I went on my way. I couldn’t wait to eat it… it smelled like breakfast heaven! I unwrapped it and took a bite. ITWASBREAKFASTHEAVEN! The fresh, soft, housemade bun, the perfectly cooked eggs and chorizo, the cheese and greens. It was literally THEE best breakfast sandwich I have ever had. I went back today to try the burger that my wife specifically recommended, and it was everything she described, and more! Same, fresh housemade bun, perfectly cooked burger patty, arugula and that bacon and onion marmalade! Holy sh*t, it was delicious! Rarely do you find a burger that requires zero condiments. It would be completely unnecessary(and borderline criminal) to add anything to this burger. It was perfection on a bun. Redwood City is booming, and Kristie Marie’s is a perfect example of why. Gourmet food, made with thought and care, at reasonable prices, and served by friendly people. Go there today, before the lines get so long you’ll need to call in your order!

Checked out Kristi Marie’s yesterday after really looking forward to it for a while. Husband and I got a few things: Biscuit, cinnamon roll and a cappuccino. Pros: The cinnamon roll was really tasty! Gooey and soft, and huge! They use equator coffee — yum! Really friendly service and quick in-and-out In terms of what could be better: I would have LOVED the biscuit if it were served warm. Why do a room temp biscuit? It will never be as delicious as a warm one. Same for the cinnamon roll — why not ask if we’re going to eat it soon and warm it? I saved the biscuit for later when I could toast it at home and then it was really tasty! Hope they consider making that change. Either way, we’ll be back to try some lunch stuff!

Their Cinnamon Bun is delicious! It’s not overly sweet but definitely comforting. It definitely a great way to deal with the Monday blues! I also ordered the breakfast torta one word: Yum! The staff is definitely friendly and welcoming. You will feel comfortable coming in like walking into your friends house. Will definitely be coming back again!

The Borrone family have been a staple of my bay area life for a while now. When i first moved out to the area i spent many a night with friends at the Café in Menlo Park. I enjoyed Station 1 in its brief life, Vesta with its awesome pizza, Borrone Market bar with it’s modern comfort foods and now Kristi Marie’s. It’s a to go joint with sandwiches, pastries and caffeine products. Even though there’s no real place to hang the products are very high quality and worth checking out. The biscuits and fruit pastries are particularly good. Will have to try heartier fare next time i need a quick lunch in the neighborhood

YAY! So happy for Kristi Marie’s to finally be open! Today was the soft opening(cash only for the soft run), so not be confused with a grand opening like the prior poster. Great food and smiling faces! I had a DELICIOUS egg and sausage sandwich, a finger-licking cinnamon bun with cream cheese frosting and a hearty 16oz cup of coffee. Happy with all of it. I also spied a delicious looking poached egg over potatoes, an amazing looking crumbled sausage toast(I wanted egg, so went for the sammie, so next time), kale salads, pressed juice, espresso drinks, brioche and more! It’s all designed to be to-go! This a not a sit-down place and it’s in great proximity to the train, so easy to grab before or after a commute! This team is picky about food quality — as you would expect anyone with the last name Borrone to be(la familia of Café Borrone & Vesta)! Ingredients will be carefully selected, lovingly baked and service will always be friendly and accommodating. I can’t wait to see what else they come up with! Grand Opening will be next week. Welcome Kristi & Zu! We are so happy to have you!

Today(7÷1÷2015) is the grand opening day!(So not sure how the 1st review was able to get anything at 8pm yesterday.) Been keeping my eye out for this place to finally open for awhile and was excited when I saw the beautiful spray-painted logo was up on the side of their building. From the family that’s brought you Café Barrone, Vesta, Station 1 and MarketBar, their newest addition to their growing list of popular establishments is Kristi Marie’s. Since Station 1 closed in 2013 due to issues with a lease agreement, the owners(Kristi Borrone and Zu Taraz) has now opened shop in downtown Redwood City. This is a small café that’s more of a to-go place selling pastries, coffee, salads & sandwiches. They’re located right across from the Caltrain tracks on Arguello & Marshall. Two tables outside. No indoor seating. Only street metered parking nearby. Hours are Mon-Fri, 7AM-4PM *~Drinks~* Coffee: S — $ 2 /Med — $ 2.25 /Lg — $ 2.50 Espresso: $ 2.85 Cappuccino: $ 3.50 Au Lait: $ 3.50 Latte: $ 3.50 Mocha: $ 3.75 Vanilla: $ 3.75 Hot Chocolate: $ 3.50 Soda Pop: $ 2.75 Iced Tea: $ 2.50 Fresh Orange Juice: $ 3 Vegetable Juice: $ 7 *~Food~* Breakfast Egg Sandwich: $ 6.50 Soft Egg served over Roasted Potatoes: $ 7 Granola w/Strauss Yogurt & Fruit: $ 7.50 Chilled Corn Soup: $ 6 Sausage Sandwich:($ 8) Available after 11AM Kale Salad: $ 8 Tomato & Ciliegine(«cherry sized» fresh mozzarella) Salad: $ 6 Pesto Pasta Salad: $ 7 Green Salad: $ 8 Got a mocha that had WAY too thick foam(texture was marshmallow-like). Their menu wasn’t even ready when I went in at 7:45AM(it was in the process of being wiped and a new menu chalked in) so I just asked them for whatever breakfast sandwich they had available since I wanted something hot and not a pastry. Opened the foil wrapped sandwich at the office and see a sandwich made with English muffins, a thick sausage patty, fluffy scrambled egg & cheese. The English muffin was toasted well, the egg so fluffy, just enough cheese, and a well seasoned thick sausage patty. It was messy but so good! Employees were friendly but they’re in training-mode so bear with them. I’ll get coffee elsewhere as my go-to is usually Bliss Coffee or Philz but definitely coming back for a breakfast sandwich & maybe try a lunch sandwich too Cash only at the moment
