Very professional and highly recommend. Dr. Bathija takes her time with the eye exams and gave us a a lot of recommendations to prevent any damage to the eyes. Great experience!

Dr. Bathija is a fantastic Optometrist. I started seeing her last year after doing a great deal of research on Optometrists in the area. Right away she was able to catch a very serious eye condition that I wasn’t aware I had (I’d been misdiagnosed for over a year) and ended up saving the vision in my right eye. I couldn’t recommend her enough, not only that but she’s very flexible with hours, has a great bedside manner, and is two blocks from the metro.

Wow!!! I’ve been wearing glasses/​contacts for many years now– too many to count and have met my share of eye doctors so when I say that Dr. Sheebani Bathija is Top-​Notch amazingly stellar I truly mean it!!! This doctor is very professional in her eye exams, compassionate when it comes to precious eye sight has so much knowledge on current eye procedures since I don’t qualify for PRK nor LASIK… I highly recommend her!

The office is easy to find and nicely decorated. I think it’s fairly close to the metro, but not sure since I drive. The receptionist is very polite and professional. And I love the doctor — she’s pleasant and I really trust her. I’m docking one star because the selection of frames isn’t huge. You should think of this as a place to get your eye exam and contacts only.
I’m docking another star for the following: After months of looking, i finally found frames that fit my wide face perfectly at a different store. I knew this office took my insurance, so I brought the frames back to them to have the lenses put in. When I got the frames back from their lab, I tried them on while I was in the office and they were insane. They no longer fit my face AT ALL. The arms of the frames were totally mangled — I could see that at least one arm was actually crooked now. Both arms were oddly bowed out. I immediately asked the receptionist about this and she said the doctor needed to make any adjustments. I was pretty pissed — I needed to wear these for my sister’s wedding, but that didn’t happen. So I went without the frames for the wedding and made an apptmnt to have the doctor adjust this week.
Docking third star for this nonsense — When I went in today, they suggested the arms had just magically warped and the lab hadn’t done anything. I really hate when businesses don’t take responsibility for what they’ve done. Own up to it and apologize. Luckily, I have witnesses that can verify that the glasses did in fact fit me before being sent off to this office’s lab. If i need to take some kind of legal action, I should be good. But I’m still annoyed. I’ve worn glasses since I was 10; I have NEVER sent glasses off fitting my face and getting them back in a completely different shape. I’ll take them back to the original store for adjustment. If the original store can’t fix it, the lab will deeply regret whatever they did to my frames.
So, in summary, great office for an eye exam and general customer service. Do not trust their lab with your frames.

I actually relied upon these Unilocal reviews to choose to go to Dr. Bathija. Her friendly and courteous receptionist was to work me into Dr. Bathija’s schedule the very next day. And when I showed up at the office there was very little waiting time, and Dr. Bathija was very thorough and courteous as she took me through the exam to identify the best prescription. My experience as a new customer at the Eye Institute of Reston is definitely five star, and I am recommending it to my wife.

Love this place. My husband and I just started going to this doctor. Great service, excellent care and reasonably priced. I highly recommend them.

My father woke up with blurred vision this morning. We contactedThe Eye Institute of Reston around lunch time. Much to our surprise, the office phone forwarded directly to Dr. Bathija. She rearranged her family schedule and met us at the office at 3pm. Mind you we are first time patients here. But will be life time patients now! Prompt, courteous, responsive, informative and above all else, available when you need her/​them. As it turns out, it is a scratched cornea. The medicine was dispensed onsite and we were in and out in 45 minutes. The medical profession along with others need to take lessons from her and the practice on how to treat patients. I/​we highly recommend her and will touting her abilities and capabilities every chance we get. Thank you for being there for us today and for the days to come. A great addition for all our Reston and Vienna neighbors!

Dr. Bathija was a dream to schedule an appointment with. I had a bit of an eye emergency, and made an appointment online requesting to be seen on a Saturday. She has great hours, very convenient, and gave a full, thorough exam and also addressed my issue for coming in. She is very knowledgeable, and easily accessible. I will only be visiting Dr. Bathija!
