shady ass barber shop. he turns you around so you can’t see how your hair cut looks when hes cutting. then when he finishes, he doesn’t even ask if you wanna see the back of your head. my haircut was uneven, some missed spots. they are expensive too. i highly don’t recommend this place.

Very clean and friendly staff. I was looking for a quick cut and I got a great. My barber took his time with my hair and it’s important since my hair is my crown. I’ll be back for sure.

My dad and brothers go here. I’ve been growing my hair like a hippy(but, growing for locks for love). I was in desperate need of a good clean up with a straight razor for my 1 year anniversary. No appointment, but was in and out within about an hour and out less than $ 20 including tip for my beard clean up. Great job and great old school barber shop.

I have been coming here for about 5 years now to get my haircut. This is the old school barber that is so hard to locate anymore. It is right on the edge of the ghetto near Del Paso Heights YO! Did I say that right? I am one of those guys that will not go to a salon to get a haircut and pay $ 40.00. I like the barber shop feel and guy talk. I want to come in and get a good, consistent haircut each time. I don’t want someone to try and make me buy«product» for my hair. If you want a real barber and not a stylist, then this is the place! Ron will take his time to get your hair cut the way you want it regardless of the amount of people waiting. He finishes off with the straight razor to get good clean lines. You can’t beat the $ 13.00 price tag either. Like Brian B. reviewed, you can also get the straight razor shave while your at it. Give Ron’s a try and you will go to the ghetto for a haircut also. Don’t forget to ask about the«lucky haircut».

I needed to get a flat top for a play that I was doing and, trust me, I was more than a little nervous to get it done. I went to the internet and searched«Sacramento’s Best Flat top» and discovered Ron’s. Still not quite sure, I called over and Ron himself answered the phone. I asked if they did flat tops and he said, «that’s what we specialize in». Well, truer words were never spoken. I got a great flat top at a great price and found my new barber. Thanks Ron!

FYI… Are you’re still searching for that small, hole-in-the-wall, old school barber shop that you thought didn’t exist anymore? And no, I’m not talking about a mustache hipster kind of place that offers 10 minute shaves and a PBR for $ 35. I’m talking about a place with that true barber feel, that still uses a straight razor, mixes his own shave cream and has a tub of talcum powder sitting next to a barber chair that’s older than your grandparents and my grandparents combined. Well, ‘m gonna let you in on a little secret… Ron’s Barbershop is that place and Ron is that guy! The hot shave is an absolute steal at $ 13 considering the amount of time he dedicates to get that face of yours feeling like a brand new set of butt cheeks on a new born baby. I wasn’t feeling rushed like I have at other places and I got the impression that he’s going to spend the same amount of time on you whether someone’s waiting for the next chair or not. Overall it’s a laid-back, no-frills, kinda place that serves good conversation and excellent shaves. Get yourself one.

I went here about a month ago and they f*#@ked my hair up bad. I asked him not to do the chili bowl style(Moe from the three stooges) and he gave me all crooked f-ed up and uneven. I just now got the damages repaired. Not going there again. Also they are pricey!
