I’ve been coming here since 2006 and this place never disappoints. As time has progressed almost nothing has changed in the quality of food you get here. I’ve come and gone, lived in different parts of the country and every time I come back here it’s a welcome home for me. What to get here? Anything really but my favorites are the Super Burrito with either carne asada or marinated pork(forgot the actual name), the crispy tacos are the best in the city if you ask me, get the marinated pork with these. The have decent prices too! The salsa bar is the shit and free chips are at your disposal after you purchase food. Give this place a try when you roll through Sacramento.

The cárnitas themselves are delicious. I would want them on everything. Full of flavor and melted in my mouth. If I’m in the area again and craving Mexican food this is where I’ll be.

So on a saturday i came around 9:00 and everyone is rushed to get cleaned up they close at 10:00 like they want to leave right on the dot. They had no more salsas for my food and no more chips they did not wat to put out anymore! I do not recommend this place at night when they are closing other than that the co workers are rude.

Found this Mexican Taqueria(or taco making establishment) for those not fluent in Spanish. :-) Good food. Service Ordered at the counter. The«clerk» was not friendly at all. Maybe she was at the end of her shift. Wait… this was at 11:30am. Hmmm. Oh well. Ok. Not«oh well». Your first interaction with your food establishment should be pleasant. I mean, I am not looking for friends at the counter, but don’t want to feel like I’m bugging them while I am ordering food I am PAYING them for… Just saying. Food I ordered the carnitas tacos. Comes with onions. Self serve chips and salsa at the salsa bar. Had the horchata drink which does not come with free refills. A refill of horchata is $ 1.00. Breaking it down– Food: excellent! Service(in getting food): fast Atmosphere: good. They had music running through the speakers which is nice. Order taker: horrible. Yeah, I said it! This is definitely a «regulars come here» kind of place. The very same order taker was very chatting with others(yes I was watching them). So, maybe after I come here a few times, she will be nice to me also. But all in all: would visit again. Oh yeah and NO tip for you! Yup.

Oh no what happened to the food?!? I went on a Thursday night after 7 pm. It wasn’t busy. I ordered an asada crispy taco and soft cebeza taco. The asada meat for the crispy taco was bland and flavorless. Same went with the cebeza meat; which was a bit mushy. Plus I don’t really like that they wrap the soft taco in aluminum foil for take out. This makes the flour tortillas wet and it sticks to the foil and tears. I had to add salsa to both my tacos to make it tastier to eat them. What happened? Did the recipes change?!? Is this just an off night?!? Plus the chips were stale. :( — — - When I’m in the mood for tacos with crispy fresh fried shells, this is my go to place. The asada steak taco is my favorite $ 2.55. The meat is flavorful and moist. The shell is fried to a perfect crisp and they do it without it being oily greasy; which can be tricky to do. They put just the right amount of grated mozzarella in the taco. They also sprinkle some sort of dry cheese on the side of the shell, which adds extra flavor. The salsa bar is fabulous. They provide 5 different types of salsas, lime wedges, and pickled carrots. But the hottest salsa may be considered tame to some folks. You can always doctor it up with el patio hot sauce. The chips though are just ok. I’ve also like their rice $ 1.50. It’s a good serving size. It’s fluffy and moist, kinda bland, but I think most rice is kinda bland. I mix in the red sauce«salsa», for added flavor. They even have bottled Mexican Coke Colas and bottled Jarritos. The staff is friendly, I’ve had only positive interactions with them. The taqueria is clean. You order and pay at the register. The food is brought out to you. The menu board is posted above the registers. The menu board’s graphics is a bit busy which I find makes it harder to read than their previous menu board.

I ordered the Chorizo, Eggs, and potato breakfast burrito but was not impressed. I just feel for the price i paid it should have been better. The potatoes were bland and the Chorizo didn’t have much flavor. I didn’t finish the whole thing. The horchata tasted good though. I refilled a few times even though they charge a dollar i did not notice that and they never said anything. It was a nice atmosphere though.

I came here after hiking because meat sounded good and my friend who used to live in natomas recommended this place to me. I ordered a taco and helped myself to their chip and salsa bar. Their chip and salsa bar reminded me of some watered down salsa so nothing was amazing. Unfortunately, I ordered their carne asada taco and was not impressed. There was plenty of meat on the taco but the meat itself had no flavor. I had to drench it with watered down salsa to taste anything. I probably would not be coming back here in the future.

I’ve been going to this place for over 10 years. Awesome food and staff. Free chips with flavorful selections of salsa. Tacos, soft and crispy, are yummy. Big burritos too. This place gets pretty busy at lunch. Worth the wait, though.

You have to try their crispy tacos! They are so good. Paired with some sour cream from the salsa bar, bomb. Mmm. Their soft tacos are really good too. I’ve had their carne asada and pastor. Both good. They also have chips out by the salsa bar. They are not stingy here with their chips, the salsas, or the meat on the tacos!

We had the Super Burrito with whole beans and rice which had great flavor. The salsa bar had plenty of choices with complimentary chips. The only thing lacking was the few choices of sodas available and the location of the soda machine was to close to the customer waiting area.

Went in there the other night. Girl behind the counter was really cute and she was incredibly patient with a very drunk couple in front of me. Ordered a Super Burrito al Pastor. Hard to find a decent one in Sacramento, but it was amazing. I barely sat down after I ordered and it was ready. Staff was super friendly and fast. The food is awesome and pretty cheap. Though, the thing I loved the most was that the restaurant was super clean, but decorated like a ‘hole in the wall’ establishment. I found that very amusing. Need to go back and try more things.

The beans really taste like they come from a can:(. The tortillas for the burritos are not great but the floutas I ordered were pretty good. The kids taco didn’t get guacamole. They’re pretty cheap on the guac generally. I would give is a 3 out of 6 stars. Not disgusting, not amazing but I’ll probably go back because it is almost the only taco shop around

One of my favorite items to get at a Mexican restaurant is the steak quesadillas and I compare restaurants based on how their quesadillas are. This place has the best steak quesadilla I’ve had so far. Just the visual of the plate had me excited. The cheese was melted perfectly, it had the best cheese to meat ratio(some places you get too much meat and not enough cheese) and they’re very generous with their sour cream and guacamole. The cream and guac were placed in large plastic cups and not drizzled on top of the quesadilla. And the quesadilla was pre-cut. The portion was just right, not so much that I felt disgusted after the meal. I would definitely come back here. Four stars because my boyfriend got a carne asada, beans and rice plate and the meat was bland. Atmosphere is really casual. It got busy really fast but service was quick. Only complaint is that we don’t have one in Solano County — which really doesn’t count as a complaint, but you get what I mean.

Hate that we moved across town from the Rincon!!! We love the atmosphere, staff and of course the complimentary salsa bar! I have a family of 7 and we each have our fave dish and know that we can keep the cost below $ 50 each time. That, is magnificent!!! Great food, terrific plating & friendly staff that are always busy but never hurries you with your order.

On Monday 02/15/2016, my wife and I stop by to grab something to eat. We came out from the restaurant 40 mins after around 7PM and found out that someone break into our car. Our car was park right behind the restaurant. We try to ask for help and see if they have footage of the incident. They say they can’t help. My wife and I have been coming to this restaurant for 3 years. At least 1 or 2 time a month dining. I guess my bad experience and bad incident make me decide not to come to this taqueria anymore. Our backpack and laptop got stolen and my passenger side window is all broken.

I’ve only eaten here a handful of times and last night was the 2nd time I’ve been disappointed. I ordered a grilled super burrito to go, got home and it wasn’t grilled. It was also dripping orange grease. ICK! One time we ordered super nachos that were so spicy they burned my esophagus! I think we’re done eating here now. Time to find a better facility.

Service was ok but that’s about it. The reviews I read were good scout this place but I wasn’t to satisfied. I got a super burrito & it started to fall apart(my fault). So I’m wrapping it back up & just as I suspected, nothing but rice & cheese. Very little meat & all the meat was at the bottom of the burrito(depends on what side the bottom is I guess) but it wasn’t spread out. At least try to trick me on the meat or sum.

This place is the spot for Mexican food in Natomas! You cannot go wrong with anything you order off the menu. I’ve had tortas, tacos, burritos, flautas and posole. Generous portions, reasonably priced, BOMB food. Make sure you get the Michelada made with a corona. I go here at least once a week. You’d be wasting your money going anywhere else.

Came here for dinner on a weekday with a couple of friends. We were looking to get our Mexican food fix and we were in the right place. I got a few carnitas tacos and a super nacho with no meat. The carnitas was tender and juicy aka perfect. The tacos were perfect. The nachos were super-fied with pico de gallo, beans, guac, sour cream and cheese. If you don’t want to dish the extra money, the complimentary chips make a fine substitute. Also got to sample the carnitas burrito and pozole, both delicious. Overall, a great experience and gem in the Natomas area. pros –sauce bar –complimentary chips –seating for large groups fyi –womens restroom is not next to the mens; instead it is located near the entrance

I haven’t written a review in ages, but this place inspired me – in a good way. The SO and I had just landed at Sacramento airport, and we were starving after a long, stressful journey home from TX. Before leaving the parking lot, I pulled up my trusty Unilocal app for nearby eats, and this popped up as one of my bookmarks that I hadn’t tried yet. Mexican turned out to be perfect, because after 3 days in Dallas, we never got to go to a Tex-Mex joint I had staked out. So the food craving was running strong. I ordered 4 soft tacos: 2 pollo, 1 asada(steak) and 1 al pastor; and an ice cold Sol w/lime to wash it all down. Out of these tacos, the asada was the least flavorful so will skip it next time. Not terrible, just paled next to the chicken and pastor. They were all piled generously with minced cilantro and onions – too much onion for my taste, so I dusted some off before devouring. Now, after first having had tacos al pastor in Mexico City 20 years ago – and having my life changed as a result – I’ve had the hardest time finding any decent ones here in California or anywhere else. So whenever I have come across al pastor as an option(for 20 years, mind you), I approach skeptically and order one just to try out. Always, I’ve been sorely disappointed. I’m referring to flavor and char alone, as I don’t even expect them to come off a real spit with pineapple impaled top. However, this time I was not disappointed and, flavor-wise, this is probably the best al pastor I’ve had north of the border. I would definitely go back and get these anytime! My SO tried to order shrimp enchiladas and was told they don’t make them. Already«hangry» at this point, she was peeved, wondering how hard they could be to make unless all the enchiladas were pre-made. They have enchiladas, they have shrimp, so why not just put them together? In the end, it turned out for the best, as she ordered 2 shrimp tacos with rice, beans and guac on the side. She was also asked if she wanted grilled bell peppers in the tacos, which she did and was a nice touch. After trying them, she raved about how bomb they were and made her forget the enchilada gaffe. She kept talking about how perfect they were even after we left. The only minor downside was that the(free) tortilla chips were thin and slightly stale. This was offset by the freshness of the salsas and didn’t stop us from destroying three baskets of chips. In short, this place hit the spot. If you are in the Natomas or Sac Airport neighborhood, definitely check them out! P. S. Note that there are two women’s restrooms by the entrance while the single men’s room is around the back, attached to the second, larger dining area. Just a funky layout.

The pastor super burrito is amazing! I am a southern California native, and I had yet to find Mexican food as good in Nor Cal, but this place did it! The pastor is spiced perfectly, and their salsa verde is both flavorful and spicy. I have eaten here twice this week already, I love it so much. I don’t think I will go to any other taqueria in Natomas.

Great food, the salsa bar is great and always fresh and they keep the area clean. The cooks are friendly and always smiling. The patio area is always clean and you have lightweight people watching! This is definitely my go to spot! So I just realize that I hadn’t posted my first review which I wrote about a month ago as I sat down to update my review… so this is part two. Still the same smiling faces and excellent customer service. The salsa bar even though it was lunchtime was still clean and fresh. However when I did pull up I had second thoughts about coming at lunch thinking it probably be best to wait a little bit and come after the Rush died down. But I was starving and craving a chimichanga. I didn’t get an opportunity to speak with the cooks is I usually always say hello just assumed it would be the amazing meal that it always is. About my fourth bite into my chimichanga I realized I had only tasted one small piece of chicken I then decided to cut it in half flip it over to cut it open. Two tiny pieces of chicken, I lightly get to the second half as not to disturb you too much I see zero. I return to the counter and I’m stopped by one of the waitresses and pointed out to her she takes it to the cooks which they look truly upset. Nonetheless they remake it and it’s perfection! However, I hate being the customer that send something back disappointing. No love lost here! Still excellent food and great customer service!

I am going to preface this review by saying I have been here multiple times in the past and never had a problem with this restaurant until today. Today I came here for lunch. I ordered the Chicken Flautas. When the Flautas arrived at my table they looked good — that was until I picked up the first one to start eating it… the Flauta had apparently«blown up» while it was being cooked. There was basically no Chicken in the Flauta — just a broken tortilla with a few shreds of burnt to a crisp chicken. I have no idea why they would serve this to me — a broken flauta with no filling. So I showed the empty flauta to the girl I placed my order with — and she took the plate away and said they would make it again. Unfortunately when they returned with the flautas — I had two cold«original» flautas with one warmish new flauta and the original lettuce, tomato, and sour cream. Silly me was expecting a fresh plate of flautas — not one new flauta and all the old cold food with it. So — once again I go to the counter and decide to order two tacos instead. Of course I wasn’t asked why I was ordering a new plate of food after they just replaced the last order — so I told her the reason I was reordering was because the new flauta plate was cold. She said sorry. I said«you are really going to charge me for this food after what happened with the flautas?» She talked to the manager and they decided to give me my $ 6 back for the bad flautas. So I was hoping this bad experience was now over — but of course not — there is more! My new order came — one carnitas taco and one carne asada taco. Both tacos came with burnt tortillas and swimming in grease. The meat in both tacos was sitting in a pool of grease and the tortillas were covered in grease. My friend and I both tasted the meats — and we were both disgusted. Both the carnitas and the carne asada had a weird liver taste to the meat. Needless to say I wasn’t going to eat those tacos either. What really disappoints me more than three plates of inedible food — is the lack of interest the cashier or the manager had in my bad experience with their food. The cashier walked by our table numerous times and saw I did not eat the tacos — not once did she ask how we were doing, how was the food, etc. Not once did the manager who knew I had a problem with my order come by and ask how things were. I just don’t understand 1) how you plate three flautas and not notice/care one is empty and blown out, 2) how you can then serve a customer cold food, 3) how you serve burned greasy tacos to a customer who just returned their flautas twice, 4) how you don’t care enough to follow up with a customer who has returned their food to find out if they are satisfied. I am glad that there are SOMANY other good Mexican food restaurants in Sacramento. I will never come to this restaurant in the future. The food is awful and the customer service is even worse.

I came here for the first time with my girlfriend today. We ordered the super burrito and the asada nachos. The nachos… We’re nasty. They were simply made with no care at all. I personally believe I could do better… The burrito was a little better, but still just not made with any care. Both of our stomachs hurt for hours afterwards and my girlfriend actually got sick.

I eat at this place before every kings game, concert, or event at Sleep train arena. Best crunchy tacos ever(If you like greasy and salty in which case I obviously do) free chips and salsa available which is always a plus!
