Coffee’s good but service is not. I asked about the different coffee’s and they acted very annoyed and snotty about it.(I like strong coffee). I agree(with other reviewers) that if you are not there, at that very second when they call your name, they get very annoyed and rude. «John? John?! JOHN!!! Where is JOHN???» Look, it’s coffee, it’s good… But the attitude you have to deal with to get it makes it not worth it.

Came here with a friend to grab a cup of joe and read our books but found the place to be pretty full. Even so, we were able to grab the last open table to ourselves. I really liked the interior of the place. You can tell the owner put a lot of thought into the setup and there’s even art for sale hung up around the walls. The one complaint I had was that we couldn’t connect to the wifi for some reason even though we got the password and everything. Although the atmosphere was pretty cozy I wouldn’t recommend coming here to study or read. The majority of people there were catching up with friends, which is totally fine but voices tend to carry in the table area. I had to turn the volume up for my music much louder than I usually do just to concentrate on my book. I don’t drink coffee that often, so I wasn’t really sure what to get. I ended up ordering the Mona’s Snicker, which was really sweet. It was good for the first few sips but got really sweet the more I drank it. Good drink but I’m glad I had some water to wash it down.

This is a cute little coffee shop and great place for brunch in downtown St. Charles. The atmosphere is fun and funky as well as comfortable and cozy. Do a little shopping after brunch to make the trip complete!

Picasso’s is everything that embodies the perfect coffee-shop escape. The atmosphere is wonderful and makes you want to just curl up in one of their retro chairs by the window and stay all day, watching the people of St. Charles wonder by. The coffee is great and the baristas know their stuff. The only reason I’d dock them ½ a star is because of their food, and that isn’t even fair since my experience eating here has been minimal. However, it should be noted that my meals have ranged from fine to good but certainly never bad.

October 03, 2015 Came here after dinner for some relaxing music and a wine. Got both, served by the most kind and delightful service staff. How civilized! Atmosphere galore.

Cool vibe and good coffee. I had a sugar free frappuchino which definitely rivals starbucks. To quote the terminator«I’ll be back».

Immediately when I walked in(also mind you I’m obviously 8m pregnant) the guy behind the counter asks me if I had a beer in my hand. Totally weird and rude. Then after waiting 10min plus for my coffee the guy has the nerve to come to my table and ask me to move so they can set some slide show up(mind you I still don’t have my coffee). Coffee was average at best and service was completely horrible.

Great coffee(I had a dirty Chai and probably the best pumpkin spice latte ever), great food(cream cheese croissant is just the right amount of flaky with a hint of sweet), the bagels are hearty and the pumpkin spice scone I had was delicious too. Also the coffee shop is decorated all artsy and the service is quick and friendly for how busy it gets!

Great spot worth checking out. We appreciate great coffee and while it was not the best coffee we have ever had it was very good. Also enjoyed the breakfast sandwiches. Loved the décor as well. If we are ever in St. Charles again we would return for sure.

This coffee house has the best coffee. If you like rich flavor without the burnt taste(like Starbucks), you’ll love Picassos. The atmosphere is great, too. Look for their resident book of drawings and add to it! Can’t wait for the opening of their new location off 5th street.

Came here on a Saturday after a wedding. They are extremely friendly and helpful if you aren’t sure what you want to order. I got a vanilla latte and my daughter a hot chocolate. We also ordered .I think it was called something like coffee gooey butter cake. It was perfection. Craving it right now. Love the atmosphere. Small and quaint. There are also places to sit outside.

If have to agree with most reviewers! I came here because of all the rave reviews for this place, first and foremost it smells amazing! The coffee is excellent with some very interesting creations. Can’t go wrong by checking this place out! I’d say the only downside is that it is on the upper end of coffee shop price ranges.

I was looking for a coffee place close to where I was staying and after reading all the reviews I decided to try this place out. When I walked in it smelled delicious and right away the staff behind the counter greeted me. I very much enjoyed the layout of the shop and the smell of the coffee dripping in front of me. I was going to order a regular house coffee but the friendly barista recommended I try their most popular cup which was delicious and tasty. It may have had some vanilla, butterscotch rum and something else. It was so delicious I’m coming back for another before heading home. Overall this is a great place with great coffee, friendly staff and a cool place to hang out and just unwind.

I was only in St Charles for the weekend for a short college visit of my brothers behalf, but after seeing the reviews on Unilocal,my coffee-crazy self just felt obligated to try this place out! Since I only had time for a coffee, that’s simply what I got; or to be fair, probably the best soy cappucino I’ve ever had in my entire life. Oh, how I wish I lived close so I could come back; I swear I had the hardest time to decide my order. Staff was soooo friendly and very professional, and I almost got jealous of their teamwork; I wanted to work there! Also, a huge plus for having seats outside! Overall; try to stop by this place, even just for a coffee. It’s worth it.

When I was at Lindenwood, everyone talked and talked about Picasso’s. I wasn’t into coffee and Picasso’s was farther than Crooked Tree, so I never ventured there until recently when I wanted a latte. I forget which one it was(I really must write reviews the day I go places!), but it was a drink for the winter months and it was tasty. Picasso’s is pretty big and it has a great location on Main Street. It has a cozy feeling that I never experienced at Crooked Tree, though I still love Crooked Tree). Now I see what all the talk was about. I’ll be back.

I don’t know why I haven’t gone here before, considering they have been around for awhile. I’ve always gone to Crooked Tree but now I have a 2nd choice. We happened in this Saturday when Main Street was also having some kind of art show, so the place was probably unusually busy, but the staff handled it all pretty well. We opted for two soufflés, one spinach and cheese? the other ham and cheese. They were good and I found out sourced from La Bonne Bouchee and looked exactly what you get from Panera. I also ordered the Chi Tea Latte on a Unilocaler recommendation and also the coffee grog thing(my memory often fades fast). The tea was excellent, the coffee … not as great. It tasted just like normal coffee but was to have whatever the grog has in it(butterscotch was one flavor?) Before leaving we also bought to take with us the cheese pastry and spinach and feta croissant(which I assume also came from La Bonne) and both were very good. I also ordered the peach smoothie but not before asking the girl behind the register if they were any good … a question I often ask when out, to see what kind of reaction I get… and hers was the best. :) Call it a test question on what I like to refer to as «ownership» of the food and service. For what I would give overall a 4 star … the service and personalities make it up to 5. I’ll go back.

I came here because i needed caffeine. I didn’t expect much and it blew me away. First of all, they make amazing iced coffee here. i got the ethiopian yirgacheffe and was really pleased. additionally, they told me it costs 75 cent to refill the coffee once. HOLYCOW i did NOT expect to get that. Coffee that good is usually 3 bucks and no cheap refills! To top it all off, the people are friendly AND they’re open late on weekends = win! If I’m here, i’m getting coffee! Probably gonna be visiting this place any time i’m within a mile of down town st. charles.

This is a fantastic coffee house. I wish I could go more often. I had a river view while enjoying a little piece of heaven in a mug. The seating side is tiered into three levels. I sat on the banquette on the second level. After a few sips I noticed the most peaceful view of the river passing by. This made the whole experience more delightful. Lots of regulars that seem to know, or at least, greet each other. Makes this cozy, you are in someone’s living room, type feeling. College student to seniors seem to enjoy this coffee shop. I can see why. The staff is super friendly and hard working. Tables cleaned the moment they opened up. They also have free Wi-Fi. I will return for a big warm mug of coffee… next time I will add a croissant. The croissant are the size of someone’s face, they are HUGE! I wish I had gotten a picture on one.
