Wonderful establishment with very friendly staff. Authentic phosphate flavor soda is very good. Gooey butter milkshake was amazing. All and all, five stars — delicious and cool atmosphere.

Delicious floats and freezes! Wish they maybe had some music going as it was a monday afternoon and it was just us and the employees. It was cool to see all the options and we can’t wait to go back to try more on our next visit. Only reason for a minus a star was it could use a little more pizazz but we definitely recommend this place and will be back soon!

5-stars: For what it is, it’s perfect Root beer freeze will forever be my favorite ice cream novelty, so that’s what I ordered. My friend said his ooey gooey butter cake shake was amazing. This has a classic pharmacy soda shop feel to it and it’s in downtown St. Charles with other great shops around. Great place to quench your sweet tooth!

We always get the gooey butter milkshakes and can never steer away from them they are so good. The store is very cute and is just like an old soda shop right out of the movies. The size of the shakes is huge. We continue to come back for more. They offer many other options in candy and ice cream. Overall Satisfaction: 10⁄10 Taste: 10⁄10 Price: under $ 10 per person Environment: Just like a shop out of the movies! Service: 10⁄10

We go here at least monthly! They have a great incredible selection of custom made sodas and syrups, phosphates, and GOOEYBUTTERCAKE! Regular, flavored(raspberry, peanut butter, brownie). The kids working the soda shop are great and friendly and the owners are awesome people! Why support a chain when you can come to this type of small business with great atmosphere and lots of yummy deserts! They do have some sugar free syrups and ice cream for those looking(hard to find!) and do yourself a favor and try the gooey butter milkshake or the gooey butter brownie a la mode!!!

Love the Gooey Butter Cake and Classic Coke from a glass bottle. The kids who worked there were super nice and took time to tell us the history of the cake – which we then devoured. They have a display of classic candy that made me smile at the nostalgia of it Would definitely return for more when in St Charles.

Let’s start with the good… unbelievable desserts. If you just walk in and order one to go you will be happy. The problems… 1) Nobody greets or acknowledges customers as they walk in. In fact after about 5 minutes of no service I finally ask a customer who already has food if it was seat yourself or order at the bar first. 2) There are only 4 or 5 meat options on the menu. How do you run out? We are only talking toppings of lettuce, pickles, tomato, and onion… again they are out of one of them. If you are not going to stock the ingredients to make these items, remove them from the menu. 3) If you are out of a ingredient tell me at the time of placing the order. I should not be seated and already paid for my meal and then you tell me you are out of the meat for my sandwich. No offer to refund… I had to suggest a different sandwich to replace. 4) You bring out the sandwich plate… which I had to wait for but didn’t serve my drink until after I was nearly finished with my entire meal. Then I had to remind you I had order a dessert to even get it served. Just to be clear… there was some other customers but we are not talking about any kind of «line our the door» situation that might have made this more understandable. In fact as I ate my meal, more than once BOTH workers were in the back and therefore not available as folks walked in. I suggest if they want to keep customer they move to an online operation of just selling their gooey butter cakes because the customer service will ensure I do not return.

This place took me back to my childhood. They had all the different candies we had back in the days. The gentleman was so nice, and I was albe to sample their gooey bread.

While I’m not an ice cream person, I’ve now been here two times and had great experiences both times. Unsurprisingly, this place serves ice cream. They seem to have a lot of flavors to choose from, including your typical ones(e.g., cookie dough, strawberry, etc.). In addition to ice cream, they also serve gooey butter cake, sandwiches, and sodas. I had a turkey sandwich here and while it wasn’t anything particularly special, it was good. The thing I love best about this place is their gourmet sodas. Both times I had the piña colada soda. It was absolutely delicious. In addition to piña colada, this place also has a ton of other soda flavors to choose from, so I plan to try some others in the future. With that said, I would highly recommend the piña colada. All in all, a cute place with a lot of sweet stuff to eat :)

Love the feel of this shop. I took my little sister there and she loved it also. We had sandwiches and root beer floats. The sandwiches were okay but they were very high in price. Other than the price I love it.

Walked in and had to wait while the 2 clerks finished having their fabulous conversation about their hair with the customer in front of me. Meanwhile 2 people after me come in and both get friendly cheering hi’s while I’m still just waiting for anyone to even acknowledge my presence. Finally after about 5 min when the first customer is almost done the 2nd clerk decides they really DONT need 2 people to help talk about hair and asks oh did you need anything? Ridiculous. Right then and there decided to change my order to the most basic need of a soda paid and left.

Made a pit stop here on the drive back down to Fort Leonard Wood and grabbed a root beer float. One of the best I’ve had! Just the right mix of vanilla ice cream and root beer.

Little O’s is perfectly nestled on Main Street in Old St. Charles. When you walk in, you see instantly that it’s a place for the kid in you. They have ice cream, cake, old-time candies, toys and more. Have a shake, a float, even a phosphate at their old time soda shop bar, where self-proclaimed«jerks» take your order with a smile. If you are looking for just one thing to have, go for the gooey butter cake shake. It has real pieces of gooey butter cake made on-site whipped smoothly into the shake as well as large pieces floating on top. Delicious!

This place is incredible! I’m really not much of a gooey butter cake fan — well, I thought I wasn’t — but now I’ve found the real thing and I’m in love! I turned it into a sundae with two scoops of ice cream and hot fudge on top. My girlfriend got the gooey butter cake milkshake and it was pretty yummy, but I definitely proffered my sundae. I should also note that because I’m a huge chocolate fan, I tried the gooey butter brownie. While it was delicious, I would still pick the original every time! This place is awesome, old-times and has great staff. Check it out!

Wow, my family really loves this place! Unilocal pointed us to this store one afternoon while we were picking up the kid from daycare. It was beautiful out, and it just felt like an ice cream day. I busted out my trusty Unilocal app, and we were set to go. And boy did Unilocal get this one right! What a great ice cream shop! I’ve been here twice and gorged on their gigantic one-size-fits-all shakes, and I feel no regrets. If I wanted to eat healthy, I wouldn’t come to a store that pimps delicious sugary treats. This is a place of guilt-free indulgence, so check your conscience at the door. Plain and simple, it is wonderful. Take the time and read the background of this place on their menu. It made me admire the hard work that the owners have put in to create a store of their dreams. Terrific store, outstanding treats! Go here!

Shake it up, leave the phosphate soda behind &DOTAKE A RIDEONTHEHORSE! I really enjoyed the Gooey Butter Cake Shake with a actual slice of Gooey Butter Cake blended inside. The straw wide enough to suck up a plain M&M made it easier to eat/drink. The soda jerk made me a phosphate soda without phosphate(used to be used to create gas of soda till found poisonous & replaced by carbon dioxide). I order raspberry & thought is was OK but not worth $ 2.50. The real bargain was the«50 cent» ride.(Not the rapper, just a horse that was suppose to be for kids) The horse ride matched with a propeller beanie gave a dad a Vine style video to send to his kids.

The boyfriend and I are here visiting for his job and we literally ran in here a few weeks ago during one of the famous Missouri down pours. We sat and talked with the staff for quite sometime. They have cute workers. MJ was great! I told her what I liked and she created an ice cream soda just for me. Great atmosphere and friendly staff. Definitely a must if you’re craving something sweet. Their gooey butter cake with espresso is to die for!

I just wanted to update this to mention they have WINTER hours now: Tuesday — Thursday: 11am — 5pm Friday — Saturday: 11am — 7pm Sunday: 1pm — 5pm Unilocal takes EONS to change posted hours, I have no idea why, so I am posting these here for everyone so you don’t miss out on a delicious sundae or sexy gooey butter goodness(like I did, a few times.) I also posted it as a tip on the mobile app so if you’re en route, hopefully you will scroll down and see. ;) Also wanted to mention I bought about 4~5 gooey butter cakes from them for a work meeting and everyone LOVED ‘em. Seriously way better than donuts to bring to a meeting just make sure to get some disposable silverware and plates first. Their gooey butter cake is still like crack cocaine for me(in a diabeetus-inducing kinda way) and I have been known to speed down 5th street like a maniac to make it there before they close to get a dose of sugary goodness in the form of a sundae! ;)
