This place is terrific. I was looking for a replacement for my old favorite restaurant in Los Angeles. My favorite dish is actually an appetizer on the menu. It is queso fundido con chorizo. AMAZING! I feel like this is an authentic Mexican restaurant with good food at a great price. I highly recommend this location to anybody looking for a good Mexican meal.

cool little spot. huge menu. all the mild but yummy salsa & re-fried beans with fresh corn chips you can eat. speedy attentive staff. food for our party of 7 came out way faster than i thought it would. I had the pick three combo. Tamales & a Taco with beans & rice. pretty inexpensive for a full service experience. They have a full bar but i only had water. Been here before and will be back next time in Salem.

I have been coming to this place for 10yrs??? When I make it to the area. And I’ll have to admit, I ALWAYS get the fajitas. So I guess this review is solely on the fajitas. Their homemade flour tortillas… RIDICULOUS!!! I can’t find anything like them in Portland. Heck, maybe the fajitas suck and its just the tortillas that make them awesome… I don’t know! Horchata, good. Chips & Salsa with beans and radish de gallo, good! If I’m in Salem… Yes, I’m coming here!

First I would get 5 stars but they have 1 waitress who is really bad. She has painted on eyebrows in a lot of makeup… avoid her. Other than that some of the best mexican food in town… for the price. My kids call this their favorite bean place. You get refried beans and a cabbage slaw as well as salsa for your chips. Tortillas and salsa are homemade, which I love. They almost always have a coupon running. I have 5 people in my family and I need that 4 dollars off… lol. They are on the corner of market & lancaster try it if you haven’t.

My husband and I chose this restaurant from a pamphlet our hotel gave us. We recently lived in Alaska and were in desperate need of good Mexican food. Boy, were we surprised! The food was amazing. The best Mexican food my husband and I have ever had! Everything is authentic and clearly handmade. Before we had even gotten the check, we were planning our next trip it Salem, to enjoy the delicious fares.

The good… They tried really hard to make the interior fairly nice… which I think they did. That’s the end of the good. They serve chips and salsa with a small plate of refried beans and a little side of chopped cabbage, cilantro, and such. All were good. The bad… here goes… As nice as the waitresses were they made numerous errors in taking the order. We had 7 people. Three peoples order arrived as asked for. One person was given an entrée with no beans, rice or anything. That was not how it was ordered. One person order was so screwed up they came back three times and asked our friend what she ordered. After the fourth attempt they got it right. My wife and I ordered a large plate to share. It was Chili Colorado, Pork with a green sauce and chicken with a different sauce. Instead they brought us a giant platter of seafood. How do you mess that up? Both green sauces were exactly the same. The food is outrageously expensive. And it was absolutely unremarkable. The bright side is they felt bad enough to give us a $ 20 gift certificate as an «I’m sorry». Once they finally got our platter right it arrived after everyone else was finished. My wife got sick to her stomach that night and had an Amodium party the next morning. Save your well earned money, they are charging like its the Four Seasons.

We have yet to find a better tasting and reasonably priced Mexican Restuarant. The staff is friendly, the food is great and always fresh. The bathrooms cound use some touch up paint due to loving teens and their bathroom wall antics… Better than all the rest we have been to!

This restuarant is similar to a long line of Mexican restaurants in the area. The menus literally look the same, they taste about the same, they just cost more here. For a big burrito, it cost $ 11.95 which can be a bit pricey for Salem standards. The service was okay, but the only reason I came here was because the building looked interesting. Never judge a book by its cover because the interior was a far cry from its traditional looking exterior. Sad but true, this place is mild at best. The only draw it may gain is the fact that its located in a popular area of Lancaster drive, but then again, so is Baja Fresh.
